Wire shelf's fell the first time following the manufacturers installation instructions from securing to the drywall.The second time I installed them I installed them to the studs. Somehow they still managed to fall and broke my closet window.

I wanted to have one extra shelf on the top where I can store my clothes which I do not use much. I bought this wire shelf kit from the home depot that has all things include to install it. It is easy to use for DIYers. However, It is a little complicated for the beginners they might need a helper to do measurements. It does not have a strong holding drywall screw. I do not think that they hold heavyweight for a long time. It is made from good quality of wire that holds like boxes, clothes, or other pantry items, etc. The installation guide was really helpful and make the installation easier. This is really helpful 4 feet shelf with 12inch wide to organize additional items. I would suggest reading instruction multiple times before installing the wire shelf. I would definitely recommend this kit.

the end of the bracket that holds the front of the shelf does not allow the shelf to be cupped …..because the two cupped prongs are on the top instead of the bottom...I had to use wire to secure to the shelf ……..see picture ….. I will check the Rubbermaid version next time in store to see how their bracket supports ..

The shed is easy to assemble, but be aware of a couple of things. 1. Build it when there isn't any sun beating down on you. Panels tend to warp a little when hot which will cause the panels to not want to snap together. 2. Be sure you have a partner to help you assemble the side panels to the back panel. The panels side into grooves. Other than those 2 suggestions the shed is actually fun to assemble, and really looks great! I've ordered the hooks for inside hanging hoses and tools. Then will paint to match the house. Thank you Home Depot!

Its easy setup and light and can hold some real weight is assembled right

Very simple to put together, sturdy, and makes a wonderful difference in space whether you use it in your room closet, kitchen storage, or even the bathroom. I have used it for all the above mentioned and I would absolutely recommend it to everyone looking to make room, tidy up, and/or change a look In a specific room that may be bare and should serve a purpose a long the lines of storage. Was exactly what I expected. Prior to the photo below, this room was very empty with majority of things needing to be put on the floor. It isn’t finished yet, because i just began this project and more shelves will be placed in, but to get a basic idea of how much a difference it can make a barren room look appealing to the eye.

The ClosetMaid 48 in. W x 12 in. D white ventilated wire shelf kit is a very functional storage product. The shelf can be used for extra storage space on a wall or in a closet. The shelf comes with easy installation instructions and all the required hardware. The shelf can also be cut to size if necessary. We have had the shelf for a week and installed the shelf in one of our closets for extra storage. The shelf meets our expectations and we are pleased with the product.

I like these shelf kits a lot and have installed a few of them over the years. They're very fast and easy to install and carry a good amount of weight. They come in different widths. I've used them to put shelving in utility areas, my basement, garage, turned a coat closet into a utility closet and recently created some storage for my seed starting equipment and even made a space for an extra spot to grow seedlings. You don't need a lot of tools. A drill with 1/4" drill bit, a level, a hammer and a hacksaw if you need to cut it. If you have or can borrow bolt cutters it makes cutting the shelf easier than using a hacksaw. A stud finder would be helpful to avoid the studs. If cutting the shelf try to leave about 1/4" or so of the wire sticking out to leave room to put the rubber caps over the ends for a neater look. The kit comes with everything you need. The wall anchors are meant for drywall, not for attaching directly to studs. If possible I try to get the metal support posts screwed into a stud. It doesn't come with the screws for that so if you intend to do the same make sure you have appropriate screws with big heads such as truss or low profile washer head screws. Even if not drilling the supports into studs the system is still very solid. The multiple back clips and support anchors do a good job of distributing the weight. The only difficult part is snapping the back of the shelf into the shelf supports.

I purchased 2 of these shelves, they are perfect, they are sturdy, easy to put up and exactly what I needed.

Not as expected and support brackets are just for the name of support. They can’t even hold 15-20 lb, keeps on falling. I regret buying it

bought 4' shelf bc i needed 2-2's. cut shelf in 1/2 but hen needed 2 more supports. bought separate pkge of supports but nail heads to anchor them FELL thru support holes. had 2 use small washers to complete job. so the problem is w/ the extra pkge of supports, at least w/ the package i purchased.

The drill was easy to assemble.

Installation was so much simpler than I thought it could be! I installed three units, adding the shelving to our laundry area over my lunch break, and still had time for lunch! The shelving supports kitchen appliances we use only on occasion, our wet vac, and the laundry supplies. My wife was VERY pleasantly surprised! WIN-WIN!

The wall clips are garbage. Two shelves that were under moderate weight already fell after a few months. Thankfully no one was close when that happened. The company should be liable for providing such poor-quality products.
