This Closetmaid door kit system is a good way to build and organize a plain closet that just has a rod and a shelf. These doors are made of melamine which is a mixture of resins to make a durable surface that can be overlayed to form a decorative surface. This is the coastal teak wood look which is that greyish brown beach look. It is a nice look for a closet system. This is made to cover the shelf openings on part of the closet kit. It is easy to assemble and has the hardware and satin nickel door pulls included. There are many different add on parts to customize any closet. It comes in several other colors including white.

I have an empty wall in my master bedroom walk in closet where I NEEDED SOME EXTRA SHELVEING AND CABINETS, so I went to my Home Depot and started looking and checking for the "ready made items that would work for me. My logical choice was easy to make as Closet Maid had the best products both in size, quality and color to meet my needs. The shelf and cabinet are an excellent addition which really meets our requirements, both in quality and style.

Our main closet keeps improving with each ClosetMaid add-on and this particular combo is great! And with the standard tower you can add more shelving along with the angled shoe shelves...... The entire system is very affordable, sturdy and looks more expensive then it is. The finish on the shelves is scratch resistant but also looks stylish and modern. One shelf had a minor nick, but it won't show once assembled...... The instructions are very thorough and it’s easy to assemble. Not only that, there are so many different ways this can be configured and combined with the other ClosetMaid’s closet modules. And the Teak color does look classy.

Really like this shelf kit in a dark brown look. I've had it up for a few weeks and it has worked out well so far. My kit is a shelf with one cabinet style unit that is open in the front and back. The back sits flush on the wall of course. In my case I think I'm going to add some kind of sliding doors to the front. I know that there are matching doors that they sell for this unit but where mine will be installed I don't have the room in front as I have a drop down door in front of it from my loft storage above. I'm trying to match the nice chocolate color of the unit and I think I found that the dark walnut stain is just right. The Stlye+ dimensions are 15'' deep and 25'' wide and 31'' tall. The shelf measures 15'' deep by 48'' wide. This unit will go in one of my sheds out back that I use for all my lawn and pool supplies. It is a very sturdy unit and is quite heavy, which is a nice feature. This unit isn't going to move at all once attached to the wall. This is a hanging mount only unit and comes with all the hardware and is easy to assemble. It has a slick finish and is stain and scratch resistant. The wall mount is a steel bracket that is very strong and acts almost like a 'french cleat' type system. Just level up the bracket on the wall and hang the cabinet right on it, and then add the little wall mount 'L' fasteners with the included screws and your all set. Each shelf can hold about 25 lbs. This unit has an adjustable shelf and two that are fixed including the top of the unit. The 48'' shelf can be added to go in between units or just added to one and then to the back and side wall like I did. So I am able to get about 10 feet of shelf out of my two part unit. This can be used in any room of your house or garage or shed , where ever you need more shelves.This is very nice looking and I recommend to others.

This is a closet kit with a 48" shelf and mounting hardware and a 3 shelf tower and hardware to attach to a wall along with the top shelf. Both the top shelf and the entire tower sides and shelves of the tower are made of fiberboard and are quite heavy. The shelf tower has sophisticated cam lock hardware to put it together with only a Phillips head screw driver, I was going to use the kit in a garage work shop. I assembled the 14.59" deep by 25,12" wide by 31.28" high tower on the floor from good illustrated instructions. But when I lifted the heavy tower by the top shelf to attach it to the wall, the cam locks pulled out of the fiberboard and the tower dropped to the floor and the tower fell apart pulling all the attachment points out of the fiberboard. I may be able to repair the tower with a drill, screws, and high strength glue. This kit may work well for you, and was priced at $49.99 in May of 2020. but because of the kit's heavy weight, fiberboard composition, and the failure of the attachment points on my kit, I can't recommend it.

This is a nice shelf kit. The shelf comes with hardware and instructions. The hardware includes three L-shaped brackets, screws and screw anchors. The instructions are easy to follow. The shelf has a nice pseudo wood grain look. The covering is on the top, bottom and front part of the shelf. It is MDF underneath. The shelf comes shipped in a box with packaging material, but one edge got damaged during shipping. It is not major and can be covered with the L-shaped bracket. My expectations have been exceeded.

ClosetMaid Style+ 48 in. Bleached Walnut Wood Fixed Mount Top Shelf Kit with Hardware This ClosetMaid Kit is part of a complete closet system which can be used together or separately as I wish. It came well packed and in perfect condition, with a complete 8 page booklet letting me know how to install this top shelf, then how it also works with the whole system. The top shelf itself is pressed board with a very nice bleached wood melamine finish. I found this finish to be easier to remove dust, or wipe clean, than the old shelf we had, which was a rougher finish painted white. The kit comes with three metal brackets in a grey taupe color, that blends nicely with the shelf design. One for each end and one to help keep the middle from sagging. I looked for the recommended weight limit and only found one reference in the list of warnings. On page 2, the second warning says if the shelf bows or bends it has been overloaded. Along with the top shelf I got the 31 inch standard hanging tower in the same beautiful bleached walnut finish, which will give us more installation options. It also arrived in perfect condition and will add more great storage for us!

This review covers two ClosetMaid Style+ products in “Noir” (black): - Top Shelf Kit with Hardware, Model #2106 - Hanging Tower Closet System, Model #1794 First the Shelf: Good, basic shelf that coordinates with other organizers in ClosetMaid’s “Style+” line. It measures 48” long, 13.78”, deep, and 0.625” thick and can be cut shorter if needed. The included metal brackets (3) make it easy to mount to other shelf units or the wall. See pics. Hanging Tower: A good product but with limited applications and installation challenges. First of all, I like ClosetMaid’s products. I’ve installed at least a half dozen of their closet systems over the years. They’re sturdy and generally easy to install. But this Noir Wood Closet System Hanging “Tower” misses the mark for me. In my opinion it’s not a “tower” unless it’s nearly the full height of the closet. These are just hanging shelves. Instead I’d suggest ClosetMaid’s full-height, floor-standing model #4370 “Style+ 15 in. D x 25 in. W x 82 in. H Noir Floor Mount 6-Shelf Wood Closet Kit With Hang Rods”. But maybe there’s something on the floor preventing placement of a tower? Or you only need a couple of shelves higher up the wall? Then this might work for you. A few notes about installation. One, you’ll be making LOTS of holes in your wall - 10 to be specific, and most of them are large (1/2"). If you ever remove the unit you’ll be doing a lot of patching! The instructions for assembling the shelving are straightforward. (Hint: You’ll need both large and small Phillips screwdrivers) But the instructions for mounting the unit on the wall could be confusing for a novice. Even if you’re an experienced DIY’er read steps 7, 8, and 9 carefully - You must attach the hang track to TWO studs with screws AND use FOUR toggle bolts in the drywall for a safe and secure mounting. The location of those studs constrains where you can place the unit. Refer to the two pictures of the hang track (shown without sheetrock for illustrative purposes). If the desired placement of the shelf centers the hang track on one stud, you’re out of luck! The second picture shows it screwed to two studs, but now the unit is a few inches off to the side - can you accept that? Step 7 is confusing: “Using measuring tape, make sure hang rail is above 31” from the ground.” Yes, that’s the *minimum* height, but you’ll probably want it around 6-7’ high to allow room underneath, as shown in ClosetMaid’s pictures. Once the hang rack is securely installed, and you’ve hung the shelf unit on the hang rack, you still need to secure the shelves to the wall at all four corners with the provided screw-in anchors and L-brackets (step 11). The helpful hints suggest doing one at a time, but it’s difficult to do that with the shelf in the way. Recommendation? CloseMaid’s Style+ line? Yes. This hanging “tower”? This review is for the ClosetMaid 48” top shelf kit and the 31” Hanging Tower. These two items don’t necessarily go together but I received them in the same order and installed in the same area. Storage solutions for closets also work really well in the garage, and that’s where I installed these two items. First, the shelf: nothing really special, it’s a 48” by 14” white shelf and there are a couple of things to be aware of. First, the top and bottom, and the front edge have a nice white melamine surface but the sides have unfinished particle board showing. Not an issue for garage use, and I could easily paint them if I wanted to. Second, the included brackets to mount the shelf to the wall don’t hold it level from back to front – the front will sag down. Both of these issues are because this shelf was intended to be used with a ClosetMaid system that would have provided support for the top shelf and hid the unfinished edges. I used a couple of small shelf brackets (see photo) to support the shelf. The hanging “tower” system was easy to assemble and easy to hang. It uses “cam locks” and goes together quickly. The top bracket gets installed to the wall – if you’re lucky you’ll catch two studs, but ClosetMaid knows you’re not that lucky so extra wall anchors are provided. Once the bracket is up you just hang the tower unit on it and use the addition provided anchors and screws to keep it secure to the wall. The bracket and anchors allow it hold up to 100 pounds. I really like the hanging tower concept – that plus adding the shelf above created a huge amount of storage space on the garage wall and would work equally well in a closet. ClosetMaid makes a lot of closet storage modules, so just make sure the ones you order are meant to be used together.

The CLOSETMAID Style+ 23.74 in. W Chocolate Wood Shoe Shelf Kit (2-Pack) in Brown adds another feature to one's existing CLOSETMAID shelf unit but comes with a few limitations. Once unboxed and laid out, I inspected the pieces for assembly and noticed many corners were chipped. The boxes contents were well protected with packing foam and cardboard leaving me to conclude that some pieces were chipped during packaging or manufacturing. I did manage to manipulate some shelves to hide the damage during assembly. Overall, the system works as described and the shoes fit well and can be angled for better viewing. I honestly feel there is a quality issue somewhere in the process along the line. On the fence.

My only wish was that they would have made it in a couple of more sizes (than they already have). But other than that it’s a great product.

These are a great addition to a ClosetMaid hanging closet tower and help keep stored clothes dust free. I had two shelves in an en-suite bedroom closet that were too high to be usable. We removed the lower shelf and installed a Closet Maid 24” hanging tower which increased the shelf space and also made all the shelves accessible without a step stool. Once assembled, we added the ClosetMaid Style+ shaker door kit to the top two shelves of the closet. The doors have a dark brown wood look veneer finish on the door fronts that match the hanging tower we installed them on. The doors come with modern looking brushed stainless steel handles which add a nice finishing touch. The door kit comes as a flat pack and takes about 10 minutes to assemble with the help of some very clear and simple instructions. All the hinge holes are pre-drilled and all you really need is a Philips screwdriver to complete the job. Unlike some flat pack furniture, everything was drilled in exactly the right place and I didn’t have to adjust anything during assembly. Once assembled, I fitted the door hinges into the pre-drilled shelf support holes in the tower and everything lined up perfectly. The hinges on the doors are similar to a kitchen cabinet and can be easily adjusted so that they line up properly with the cabinet edges and top. The kit also comes with self-adhesive bumpers so that the doors will close quietly.

The drawer didn't fit in the shelves, and was slightly different (in color and drawer pull) from others we had purchased in store. The good news is the store gladly exchanged this for us with one that matched with the others we had. Recommend you purchase all the drawers desired together, and in store, vs. ordering this online.

The Closet Maid Shoe Shelf is made of particle board with a melamine coating. Although very heavy, the shelf is nicely finished and has a wire rod designed to prevent shoes from sliding off the rack. The shoe shelf installs in a shelf unit, sold separately. A hanging wall unit made of the same materials, an unexpected extra, was also provided. The unit is very heavy being made of the same materials as the shelf. It is almost impossible for one person to mount on the wall. Halfway through the instructions say to use a team lift to mount the unit on the metal strip secured to the wall, but I have no one to help me. Do not mount the unit if you do not have someone to help you. The metal strip is only just long enough to reach both side walls of the unit. One side wall missed and fell off the metal strip and the whole unit broke apart and is in a heap on the floor, the cam screws having broken the particle board they are inserted into. I have rated with a 4 as it is suited for the purpose, accepts several types of shelves and the instructions did say team lift.

The ClosetMaid style+ chocolate shaker wood closet system door kit is slick. While I haven’t had a chance to fully install the system in the closet with active kids, my experience with ClosetMaid has been excellent. The doors match up well in a modular system approach giving ultimate flexibility with the 25” wide system. The finish looks nice, it’s not too over the top to bust you budget and not so cheap you’d have regrets. We have always struggled to organize the kids closets and this system is the perfect solution.

The ClosetMaid Style+ is an awesome and affordable organization solution for anyone looking for cheap closet organizational solutions. My wife has collected too many pairs of shoes over the years and we needed a solution. Our solution has turned out to be the ClosetMaid brand and these system are extremely adaptable and customizable to meet just about every need. The finish is durable for a closet and works well. Our last ClosetMaid system from 6 years ago still functions perfect and looks new so the shoe shelf kit will be a great addition to organize those shoes out of sight and out of my mind.

This Closetmaid style shelf and shoe rack kit fit perfectly in my existing closet under my standard closet rod making it a very easy and convenient upgrade to most closets without any complicated configurations for installation. The top of the shelf unit makes an extra shelf! It was very easy to assemble with the included instructions and hardware. The fastener kit that comes with the unit to attach it to the wall makes it very sturdy and unable to tip over.

The shoe shelves installed very easily with four plastic clips. The shelves are very deep measuring 14 inches in depth and each shelf can hold up to three pairs of shoes. There is a metal bar that's included for each shelf so that your shoes won't slide off when shelves are installed on an angle. All of the hardware is included and these shoe shelves match perfectly with other ClosteMaid+ systems that measure 14.59 in. D x 25.12 in. W and are also Chocolate Wood in color.
