Picked up in good packaging, custom cut was right on. Very satisfied. Poplar looks great with a light olive oil coat, letting it dry for a day, then double coated with spar varnish. Curing now. The wood is really glowing.

Arrived quickly and undamaged. Sheets contained minimal voids. Cut cleanly with a 90 tooth blade, 24 or 26 tooth blades produced some tear out. Face veneers had adequate character and were thick enough to sand smooth to 400 grit.

Very happy with this plywood!

Veneer was thinner than I thought it would be. A few chips along one long edge but overall good quality. Loved the grain on one side but due to the bow of the board I am unable to use it.

Really nice quality plywood. Minimal voids, edges seem to hold screws well. The surfaces are smooth, and the veneer is reasonably thick and holds up to sanding. The sheets were undamaged and the dimensions exact. Would buy again.

These came individually packaged, which is good. The sheets were smooth and with minimal knotting. One sheet was very green —but I used it anyway. Overall, good purchase.

Nicely packaged and great stock material, only wished I ordered 2 instead of 1...

I ordered 3/4" 2x8 ft sheets and a 3/4" 4x4 ft sheet, and am very happy with the quality of the products. The plywood is well made, the grain pattern on the veneer has a nice character to it and should look good with a stain or dye-stain. I'm building a custom computer desk for my first furniture build and look forward to seeing what the final piece looks like. The quality of customer service with Columbia Forest Products impressed me even more than the plywood. I emailed them to talk about custom cuts and it was a very simple process. You do have to realize before you order that they are limited in the sizes they can cut. I created a template in MS paint and laid out all the cut sizes I wanted to get from each board. I sent these to Michael, who is one of their reps, and he let me know what they could and could not do. Once the cut dimensions were agreed upon, I placed the order on the HD site and emailed Michael the order #. They send you the cut pieces as well as the scrap, which is nice because I can use the scrap to try different finishes on knowing it came from the same sheet that I'm using for the actual desk. The only hiccup is that my order only partially arrived at HD. The customer service at HD is lacking, to put it nicely, but once I contacted Michael and let him know of the situation, he contacted HD to find out what pieces were missing, then had them cut at the factory and shipped to my house at no extra charge, so I didn't have to go back to HD again. Although it added another week to my order overall (might have been less if it hadn't been put in on a Friday), I was happy with how quickly the issue was resolved. All of the pieces that were cut to my specs were cut accurately and with clean edges. No hassle, no questions, prompt responses to my emails, a pleasure to work with. I would not hesitate to order from this company again, they know how to treat their customers and make sure that you are satisfied with your order. The quality of the product exceeded my expectations.

The panel was beautiful and flat but it was damaged on one end because packaging was inadequate! I did not return because I was going to cut it to size anyways. If I needed the whole panel I would have sent it back!

The panel came with 2 corners slightly dog eared but still good for my project. The custom cut was as I directed, so overall pretty good for not having to go out and try to track it down in person.

So clean and accurate cut. Their response is very fast and fast delivery. I'm so excited to do my project by using this panels!

I like to use poplar when I'm making shelves for the house, particularly closet shelves that hold a lot of weight, or kitchen cabinet shelve. I used this piece to make a shelf in my daughters closet to help get all those toys and games organized. It cut very easily with my table saw, it can be a little slower because of the density of poplar plywood. I've cut previous pieces with a circular saw, but sometimes it would bog in spots. Plus, I wanted a straight line. So far all the poplar shelving I've made using this brand of plywood have held up very well and have not warped at all.

I have purchased or obtained various project panels in other species before. This was the first time I received a Poplar panel. I was VERY impressed with the quality. First of all the poplar top panel was in perfect shape. There was not one defect or blemish on either side. It was at least 120 grit smooth. Also, one side had virtually no knots, and the other side did have knots. I'm unsure if this was intentional, but it provided a preference, depending on the finish look desired. Finally, the board was solid all the way through with no empty spaces between the laminated layers. I would definitely use this product again, when the need arises.

Columbia Forest Products Plywood...For me...Has provided consistent, high quality plywood panels in every one I've gotten from them. Initially, I was really hesitant about receiving plywood via mail order. I'm one who needs to touch, and look over any wood purchase. I had fears of the plywood arriving all banged up, scored, and warped. This is not the case with Columbia Forest Products line of plywood. This sheet arrived in a very strong box. The plywood inside was sandwiched with a stiff piece of cardboard further protecting it. Upon inspection, there were zero voids on the panel. All edges were smooth, no warping at all, and both sides had a nice grain pattern, and were smooth. That's about all anyone could hope for...Quite honestly, I don't even think I could find a plywood panel in the stores having as nice a quality as this panel has. Overall, I am a convert for anything Columbia Forest Products sells. Top quality, extremely satisfied, and Highly Recommended!!!

I am using this to make a bathroom cabinet that won't be seen a lot, but still needs to look good. I stained this with a "java" tint stain to get it to look a lot like walnut plywood for a lot less money. After a few coats of shellac the average Joe won't even know.

I am a huge fan of this plywood and have used several different types of it (see my reviews). The plys are very thick. As with all of the other species I have used no plugs on either face - although one face seems to be a little nicer than the other. With that said, either could definitely be a "show face", and I have yet to find a void when either cutting or drilling into it. I am always a little nervous about getting sheet goods shipped, but it comes sufficiently packaged can can withstand even the most zealous of delivery drivers. The piece is also dead flat. Not even a tiny little bit crown or twist across the entire length. I'm really glad home depot carries true hardwood furniture grade plywood. Finding a reputable supplier can be difficult when not buying in bulk. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone

I don't do a lot of woodworking that requires a decorative finish, but this panel had a flawless and attractive grain pattern and takes finish well. Within a few days of bringing it to our dry high desert air, the panel had warped rather more than I would expect for a 3/4" panel, but not enough that it was difficult to straighten out. It also had 8 exposed voids on the edge of the panel, but none bigger than 1/8" by 1".

A smooth and even grain pattern makes this poplar 2 foot by four foot plywood blend nicely with regular poplar wood boards. Poplar is very easy to router, cut, plane, etc. and this plywood panel is no exception. I have used poplar wood for several projects and really like the look when stained and polyurethane is applied. This plywood is going to be a great addition to my work table project and plan on making a draw out of it.
