Used this to install in wall speakers for my tv home theater. I was remodeling the basement and ran this thru the studs from the sound system directly to the speakers. The wires took solder well and are nice and flexible for easy installation. System sounds great you will be pleased as this is a quality product
Clear vinyl covering provides easy wire identification (polarity for speakers) and the product is quite flexible for tucking behind/under carpet edges. Easy to cut and splice.
Used it to run 5.1 in my living room. Its good quality speaker wire at a decent gauge. Cant beat it for the price.

Great Value!
When this arrived, it was exactly as expected. A great value if you're in need of speaker wire. I was very impressed at the feel and quality of the wire.
I mean what can I say, speaker wire is speaker wire. I used it to re-wire my (4) speakers in my pontoon boat and it worked great. No lose in sound quality and just a great product that Home Depot carries.
Used speaker wire for installation of both indoor and outdoor speakers. The copper/aluminium distinction made it very easy to complete proper polarity.

What can you say about wire
Price was right on, compared to others, this was the lowest per foot. Decent gauge and quality. This did the trick for replacing stock speakers in a Ford 500 and adding a small sub. Not shielded so run power lines 12" or further from the speaker wire to ensure no high pitch noises as the speaker wire can act like a receiver and actually pick up the power running through the lines and translate it into feedback and noise through the speakers.

Higher Quality Than Others
Yes, it's just speaker wire but the packaging can make a difference. I have previously acquired wire like this from other sources and the reels were flimsy and broke easily if dropped. This wire has a more durable reel than others.

Excellent speaker wire
This speaker wire is excellent quality. The copper conductor is thick and the insulation is just the right thickness. The wire is very flexible and easy to work with. Features a silver braided conductor on one side and gold on the other so you can tell the conductors apart. Great value for money and would easily compare to more expensive wire. I've seen more expensive wire with less copper and more insulation... this stuff is a good balance, a very true 16 gauge. The signal is strong still, and my Yamaha receiver has adjustment capability to set the distance from each speaker to the listening "sweet spot" as well Enhanced mode. I can detect no loss of signal strength, even though I have those speakers on 40 feet of wire!! I highly recommend this product.
