I was looking for a light to use for my desk that was nice and bright. This was fairly easy to install. I had to cut off the small rubber bar at the end of the cord where it attaches to the lamp. This wasn't in instructions. After this it worked perfect. Plugged right in to the wall. Came with hookups if you wanted to wire it in and everything else. Could be easily used for under cabinet and other areas. So glad I could just plug it in, a lot of the battery powered ones suck.

The video shows it includes hooks and chain for suspension mounting. They do not. I had to go back out and purchase hardware after the fact to mount these how I needed.

Need to replace the old flickering fluorescent light. I use the wired switch.

My fluorescent ones are much brighter I tried to color match the fluorescent light but missed...(reason for the -1 star) Also wish they where holes on the sides on the body to run the wires

I just used these to light up my work space just by plugging them in and they are great. I hung these up with poster command strips

This Commercial Electric LED Strip Light is great. I actually have several of them installed in my house - in my attic, workshop and other utility areas. It is a reasonably priced unit, providing plenty of light and easy to daisy chain with the included cord or inline adapter. In the photo I included, you can see three lights. The first light at the left uses the included cord to chain to the second one, then the second and third lights are chained with the included inline adapter. The main power cord has a toggle switch for turning on and off if your outlet is not switch controlled. These lights also feature internal hardware and wiring for hardwire connection instead of plugging into an outlet.

These are great lights, very easy to install either direct wire, or with the linkable cord system. I already had 4 very similar lights in my shop and was able to add 2 with the addition of the 4ft cord by just plugging into the existing fixture. Very bright, slightly cool light, streamlined design. Would recommend if you have old fluorescents you need to replace.

Need a light for my daughters work bench in her shed. This light was the ticket, works real well and was extremely easy to install.

This was super easy to install with the provided power cord. I love that the power cord has an on/off toggle switch; there's no need to plug in and unplug cord when in use. The light is quite bright as well.

Light is brighter than what we had and i like the clean look. Wiring instructions could be more difficult from what is provided in the instructions depending on what you are replacing (I had to consult an electrician friend). Difficult to snap the frame back together but its doable. I like the idea of being able to easily link more together if needed.

Great lighting for my workbench. Easy to mount and wire up. Second light connects in seconds with the provided link cord. Very nice product a a good price.

I am using these lights in a portable greenhouse. They are perfect fit .They are very bright and because they are led they remain cool and efficient.They are also linkable so I have them set up so they are all working from 1 in line switch and plug.

I replaced my fluorescent lights with these. They are brighter, do not flicker and use less energy. Installation was easy. The cord and extra parts are packaged inside the light. Getting them out was the hardest part of the install.

I putnin my basment closet, it is very bright and was easy to hook up.

This LED plug-in light was exactly what was needed in my garage. Bought two of them and installed them side-by-side (like one long light). Getting the cords out was simple enough and instructions were straight forward (unbox/obtain cords/mount/replace light cover/plug-in and turn on. The 1800 lumens each with a total of 3600 looks like it will definitely light up the areas in my garage (with the garage door closed and hood up on my car, the overhead lights were blocked and had to use flashlights or free standing lights. Not anymore!! Super simple install and illuminates the deficient areas very well!! Will be buying more for other areas!

used the commercial electric 2ft led strip light model 1001 390 177 to replace a 2 ft fluorescent fixture (using F20T12/CW 20 Watt bulbs) in a closet that was no longer behaving after some 15 years. i was initially leery of the integrated LED fixtures in that there is no equivalent of replacing a cheap bulb, but eventually decided to try one given that the relatively low cost, claimed lifespan, and the 5 year warranty. (However, on this unit there is separable LED and lense section that seems to be motivated by physical arrangement of the unit, perhaps someday that will be a replaceable item?) The packaging claims 10W of input power that is equivalent to 17W of fluorescent light and to my untrained eye this appears accurate as the new fixture is equally bright as the old 20W fluorescent setup. The led fixture is much lighter than the previous fluorescent fixture, but for my installation that meant i had to patch up the previous installation's much larger and beefier mounting holes. The led fixture is also slightly narrower than the old fluorescent fixture so it also meant some cosmetic work on exposed flaws in the ceiling that the old fixture hid. The installation requires opening the unit due to the packaging which is not a problem in itself but i had to fumble with it for a bit as i didn't want to break anything. Once open it is obvious, but the instructions on how to open the unit could use some pictures or clearer explanation. They physical arrangement meant that there was enough room to run the house wiring inside the unit and make the connections there (acting as a de-facto junction box as that was available in the previous installation) while not casting a shadow from the LEDs. (I looked at a couple of other LED fixtures where this wasn't true... whether this is serendipity or intentional is unclear.) Overall, the light is bright white and suitable for the closet in which it is installed but wouldn't be cosmetically appealing in situations calling for softer light. Overall, after a day of use the unit seems to be a good fit for needs and installation.

So first of all, when you unbox this you'll think for a split second that all the cables and wiring are missing. They're not, just inside the housing itself. Just pinch the housing and the LED bar will start to pop free. Keep going all the way across and disconnect the two connectors, one on each end of the LED bar. Inside you'll find the cables and hardware. I converted a single light fixture in my new garage to a normal grounded outlet (2 plugs). You cannot just convert a normal bulb socket to an outlet as these bars require a ground. Since these bars are very versatile in how they are wired up, there's a lot of excess cable in the housing itself. When you're mounting to the ceiling and trying to get the LED bar to seat into the housing, it's tricky to tuck in all the cables and get everything to seat properly. After fighting with the first light (I installed 4), I zip tied all the cables with the exception of the two connectors for the LED bar itself. It is MUCH easier to get the light seated with all those cables out of the way. I did two rows of two bars in the garage and it is like daylight in my garage all the time! Highly recommended! Good product. Lightweight and provides enough light for a typical closet. 4 stars only because the manual doesn't provide enough info. There is an unexplained connector that I wound up removing in order to wire this unit to my ceiling. Bought two and both work great.

This is brilliant, the stackable function gets you more light in an instant.

I work in a 3 bay shop with about 14 feet to the bottom of the trusses and stringers. My father in law had 2 bulb T8 fixtures in each bay(3 total). I desired a lot more light, so I laid this in a pattern similar to an eight on a calculator, and the difference is phenomenal. Combined with a reflective paint these will make my shop as bright as I want it to be. •Notes: I initially had several that had a power cord and not a power switch, as another user pointed out. •The power link cords need to be visually marked and not physically differentiated, as the power out only goes to one end of the plug, and can be a pain to figure out when you’re installing these solo 14’ up a ladder. •The power cord and short included link cord are inside the assembly when purchased! •IMPORTANT: DO NOT DROP THESE!! The LED strip is inside of a glass tube, and even though it is protected, it is not durable glass! I have installed 13 of the 14 i have bought, the last one slipped while I was installing it, fell about 8 feet and shattered the glass tube, which i did not know about until that point. Take a chance on these lights, especially if you’re going to link them, they’re worth it.

I purchased two of these products to light up a wood constructed stained glass window display box. The LED lighting is very good and bright. I would of rated it five stars except for two complaints. All of the cords and hardware are stored inside the plastic LED dome. You have to remove the dome to get the parts. The first one was easy, but the second one was a bear. I know how it works but I had to use a screwdriver to eventually pry it open. The second complaint was the one light cord had an on/off switch built into the cord. The second one from the same pile at HD did not have the on/off switch. There is nothing on the box to indicate a difference in the lights. Other than that they are fine. I submitted a photo of one of my stained glass window boxes.

Great Basic Single Strip LED, that does perform. I needed to light up my garage a bit better and replace the three LED single light bulbs. Since I am an electrician, I replaced the round boxes with a rectangular box so I could use the plug-in feature. The first one is always a challenge, but after that I had it down. The hardest part of installing the fixture is to put the lens body back on. Last night I turned the three on and I was impressed. We have never had that much light in our garage unless the doors were open. These would be great supplementing other lighting over a work bench. I was going to install more in my basement, but the store I was at only had four.

The LED strip light was used to replace a 25 year old fluorescent fixture over a sink in a rental unit. The ballast of the fixture hummed & the light flickered at a frequency of about 60 Hz; failure of the unit was probably imminent. The original tube had a 5000 K color temperature (bright white). At first I was afraid that the 4000 K color temperature of the replacement LED would be too warm, but this proved to be untrue. The estimated life time of 48 years and the huge reduction in power usage from about 25 W to 10 W make the LED an appealing replacement which I recommend.

I purchased this light for a work bench that I built. Light was easy to mount; provides plenty of light without the heat of standard bulbs. This was a great purchase for the price.

Perfect bright light for a small space. I have one work light over my bench and didnt get much light on one side of the bench. I needed a small and bright light and this fit the bill. It can easily be plugged in or hardwired and linked as well. I hardwired it to the existing light which was easy, the hot and neutral did not even need to be pigtailed, just clipped in. To mount it i diverted from the instuctions a little and secured it to a single gang steel box instead of a round box. I drilled two holes in the light case to secure it. Very happy with the purchase, I just hope the bulb lasts.

It has exceeded what I thought , I had wanted a light over my stove until I could get my range hood installed as I renovating.

We replaced 12 flourescent fixtures with these LED lights. They are housed behind ceiling cornices in the living room. They linked together easily and gave off beautiful light.
