This tool works perfectly. Extremely happy I spent the $9-10 and did not listen to the negative reviews. Requires an extension pole with a screw on end. I used a mop pole as I was changing bulbs on 10-12 foot ceilings - but switched to a window washing extension pole for my vaulted cathedral ceilings in the great room. Just screw on the expandable spring atrachment, tighten with the set screw to prevent tool from unscrewing while in use, push lightly to slip over the bulb in the can for removal, and twist until out. Remove burned out bulb from tool, insert new bulb - I was replacing BR30 incandescent bulbs with larger BR40 LED bulbs for a better look in my 5/6” cans - Insert and twist the new bulb into place ( right tight / left loose ), and to release simply angle the pole to the side and allow the spring to slip off of the new bulb, Voila - it’s done without a ladder and -in my video-with a single hand as I was holding my phone to film the process. LOVE IT - BUY IT - You will be amazed at how easy this thing is to use.

We have a cathedral ceiling in the entry way/stairwell with BR30 Bullet Cylinder Track Lighting. The fixture is 14 feet above the second floor walkway. One of the old CFL bulbs burned out. No was was I going to get up on a 12 foot ladder next to an open stairwell to change the bulb. I saw this and thought it was a good solution. WRONG! The finger like grippers went over the bulb easy enough, but they expanded and also gripped against the inside of the can. The bulb wouldn't turn and my initial thought was that it was rusted into the Edison connector. I applied more force trying to free up the bulb, not realizing that it was really the cylinder that it was gripping and was resistant to turning. A little more force and I ended up snapping the cylinder connector off the track. Great! Well, at least there are still 3 of the bullet cylinder lights up there. Cost me more than I bargained for.

The Bayco 2piece lightbulb changer worked perfectly. I have 20 foot ceilings with recessed lighting and it took me less than a minute to change the bulbs. This is a great product!

the receptacle that goes around the bulb catches on ANYTHING in light can and gets stuck. once stuck you have two choices pull and break the bulb (duck) or climb a ladder up to the ceiling (12' in my case) and remove the spring from whatever it is caught on and then unscrew the bulb, which obviates the need for this crappy product... stay away from this!!!

I unscrewed my plastic all-weather broom handle & screwed it in --- it fit perfectly. Will use this for both outdoor as well as indoor light bulb changing.

The suction head worked incredibly well. However, the head that is meant to stretch around the bulb (the larger one) would not stretch and therefore was not at all helpful.

Flat suction worked great!

Very useful article for high ceilings.

With a 15 foot kitchen ceiling this contraption sure msde my life easier (not to mention safer) whilst replacing 2 burned out ceing can bulbs

I kept my feet on the floor to change a high up light bulb.

Did not hold the bulb. The suction cup did not work, I tried setting the cup and placing the suction cup in the sun to soften the rubber. I think the packaging did not help as the cup was pressed in on one side.

Great product that enabled me to quickly and efficiently change both types of bulbs: recessed lighting and utility light hulbs underneath a hood over a gas top grill. Great tool!

To old to be climbing ladders it allowed me to change a floodlight 25 feet up with no problems.

Save your money and buy a ladder. This product has proven to be completely worthless.

Changing vaulted ceiling can bulbs

Works very well accommodates various bulb shapes. Long extension for very tall ceilings. Great Product!

I bought this to remove a stuck bulb in ceiling fixture. I eventually got it out but after really forcing it over the bulb as it wouldn’t go easily. Broke some of the tines. This product is not made for any heavy duty type work.
