The only possible "negative" that I can come up with is the cover that was attached to the back of the cabinet. It was a very rough fit and the pilot holes for the attachment screws, in several spots were non-existent.

Beautiful bookcase, nice cherry color. Was not difficult to assemble.

Great product at a great price! The only drawback is the back panel and poor fit. Using packing tape for permanent assembly isn't the best idea the manufacturer could've used.

I was very disappointed. The wood pieces were shaded, some had marks on them, knicks in the wood. The back piece wasn’t even wood. It was cardboard, and thin cheap cardboard, that was in pieces that are taped together. It looks beautiful on line, but I am very disappointed in what I received. I will never purchase furniture from HD again. I consider myself a pretty easy going person who can, and does overlook small things, this was awful.

This shelf makes IKEA furniture looks like it's state of the art woodworking (it's not), with many of the same construction techniques and fasteners, but without the execution that IKEA manages pretty consistently. Fit and finish is so-so at best, stickers indicating which end was up were missing resulting in multiple disassemble and refit trials and, worst of all, the top and bottom trim are held in with short drywall screws driven into particle board. And that's it. A stiff breeze pulls the screws out of the particle board. Moreover, the bottom trim was assembled incorrectly by the manufacturer making it impossible to assemble it without large gaps appearing between the trim and shelf. I ended up reworking it myself. A call to their customer support suggested that I send pictures in so that their engineering department could "evaluate" it. If they had any engineers, the shelf wouldn't have been assembled that way, so I declined. I recognize that the price of this unit doesn't imply artisan cabinet making, but if I wanted truly cheap awful furniture, I would have paid truly cheap, awful furniture prices. This is unacceptable.

had to review the instructions prior to assembling but once pieces we laid out the shelf was easy to assemble. Great looking shelf that should last for years.

This was kind of a pain to put together and pretty heavy. The back was hardboard that didn't look good since it was visable. Had to cover it with cork. The front with the wood looks good.

Was the size we wanted... Instructions were easy to follow, Was able to put it together by myself.. Just need help to carry it in the house. Price was right compared to an all wood bookcase.

Very detailed assembly instructions, no missing parts and very well packaged. Bookcase is as good as or better than expected. Slowly assembled in about two hours.

Impossible to assemble and was such poor quality when I finally assembled. The back board had a split so the wall showed behind the unit. Home Depot is so much better than this.

My husband added an additional 3/4 “ thick x approx 3 “ wide board the entire length of the bookcase on the back at the very bottom, for extra support for weight of books and to prevent any bowing. Otherwise I love the dry oak color and was so happy to find a long horizontal bookcase that was not too high!

needed some banging to get it aligned.

I am no writing a mother forking review... iceholes....

Good quality and very sturdy. Very easy to assemble. I purchase six units. Three issues: 1) the packaging is all styrofoam - difficult to clean up and no good disposal options, 2) the pre-drilled holes on the back panel were not properly aligned on one of the unit - easy fix to just drill new holes, 3) the back side of the back panel is unfinished and consists of sections that are taped together.

First all I think the book shelves look great! The whole unit is very heavy duty and will support all my heavy books. The unit was very easy to put together with only a screwdriver and the instructions were ok and easy to understand. The back board was a little off and not aligned with the other pieces, I simply removed the tape and realigned the pieces to be flush with the top shelf. Be careful putting the screws on the back board in. The edge screws are fine but the center screws had a tendency to go off center causing the wood to split which is noticeable on the finished side. Other than that I would highly recommend this book shelves. Oh by the way it only took me about 45 minutes to assemble alone.

I love all cherry wood furniture so loved the concept but I purchased this exact product a year & 1/2 ago & the cost was $219.99, now I'm see it's being advertised for $292.02. Such a shame to take advantage of customers especially during these trying times when some may not be working. Another issue that I had was that whomever drilled the holes during manufacturing did not line them up correctly. I thought maybe I was too frustrated to do it right & even tried switching the pieces around but they still didn't line up. I eventually had an expert come check it out to verify that the holes were misaligned & what I ended up doing was improvising & jerry rigging those pieces to ensure they stay.

Easy to assemble and very sturdy.

These are solid, and heavy, which is what you want in a bookcase. We got 2 of these to fill in a long wall and they look great. The shelves are solid - no problem holding tons of books. They assemble easily (but it's heavy :-) ) Each shelf has a little overhang that takes maybe 1/2" off the shelf height. Also, shelves are 8" deep, which works. They're excellent shelves!

The quality for the price is excellent. The instructions were clear and easy to instsll. I picked it up at Home Depot, and it is very heavy. Best hanfled by two people.

These are oak veneer shelving units, not "Contact Paper" type finish, good enough quality. Only gripe is the styrofoam packing material, it gets all over and is not recyclable.

Back panel didn't quite match/line up. Bottom front guard should have screws to attach to the side pieces, not just the front, very wobbly. Other than that, good instructions and unit looks great upon completion.
