My wife needed a light step stool for outside for when she gardens and can't reach some plants. This stool is perfect. It's lightweight and folds easily. It's the right height for our needs and it feels sturdy to stand on. It fits easily in our shed so she can just grab it when she needs to get something out or her reach. It's much more convenient that having to grab the tall ladder.
When you are living in a household with everyone but you over 6 feet tall, this is a must for me to reach, without straining, the things that are put in places that seem natural to all those tall people. I can reach the top of the refrigerator and all the upper cabinets in the kitchen. I love how it folds up to store and when opening it, you can actually hear the click to know it’s locked in place. It’s so simple to fold back up. Just hold the handle in to un-lock and fold. It feels very sturdy to me and I’m almost at the limit. I have needed this for so long. I might have to get one for each floor of the house. If I were an inch or two shorter, I’d probably need the 2 step one but this one is just right for me (5’6”). I really wanted something light, quick and easy to move, as well as hold me and this fit the bill.
The first impression I had of this one step step stool was it is very light weight so I was concerned about how sturdy it would be. I am 185 lb and although it felt sturdy beneath me, I'm not sure it would handle much more. The legs of the stool are covered with safety instructions and warnings. I was not surprised to find a weight limit of 200 lbs. The stool is easy to open and snaps securely in place. It is equally as easy to close, and stores flat taking up very little room. It would be a good idea to not let young children close the stool because they might get their fingers pinched as it closes.
The only saving grace for this unit is its height. I needed something 10-12" for my son to reach the sink in the bathroom. Unfortunately, the vast majority of single step stools around are only 8" high.
The ridiculous part about this stool is how plastered it is with stickers. They're everywhere...and not even applied straight to boot...and about as difficult to remove as they come. There's even one that reads, "Not for commercial use." which leads me to conclude that Cosco must understand that this stool is going to make its way into peoples' houses, where they care about how things look.
Granted, it's not the showpiece in my foyer, but as-is, it just looks trashy, no matter where you store it. Cosco chose to neither use easy-to-remove stickers nor to simply affix them to the bottom of the step pad, which really cheapens this unit. I'm in the market for a couple more single-step stools, but will not be purchasing another one of these.

If you need a light weight step stool for kitchen or storage area, this works wells. The only fault would be the tendency to slip. It would be great to have non-skid coasters (or whatever they are called) on the legs.

Little but mighty
I bought it to help me get into cars and PU trucks. I'm a 70 year old woman with a cast on her foot. Not being allowed to out any pressure on it all must be done with one.
The mighty stepper has proven to be perfect for the challenge presented to it. I can for see many other jobs for it once I return to health.

Useful little step stool!
Lightweight, sturdy, space saving design and easy to use!
What's not to love? Great for little kids too!
Thin profile, fits into tight spaces for easy storing.
Not heavy. It's easy to move around (my children do it all the time)
Opens and folds easily (with adult supervision to prevent pinched fingers).
Holds average weight adult.
I use mine in the kitchen and store it in the pantry. I pull it out when I need to
reach the upper cabinets. My children use it to reach the sink to wash their hands =)
Highly recommend this item!
The weight limit on this item is 200 pounds..I weigh about 180 and it feels like it want's to give when I step on it. The height from the floor to the step is about 8"..So you really aren't gaining much height than what one can get standing on their tip toes. It is small and compact, I'll give you that, but spend the extra money and get something a little better built..and a little taller...
