I have always been leery about buying Live Plants online but when I came across Costa Farms 6-pack of 1 pint Coral Petunia’s I decided to give them a try. In a few days, the Petunia’s arrived and were delivered outside in a snowstorm. We got them in the house within about 20 minutes. The box was well marked Perishable RUSH Live Plants with an arrow pointing the up position, Keep from Heat or Frost and Handle with care. Inside the box you can see that the 6 Petunias were all well cared for and the packaging is exceptional. Each plant was carefully wrapped in brown paper around a 4 inch high by 3 inch wide plastic container. The Petunia itself was another 3 inches tall. Each container was also wrapped with a see through clear plastic film. The soil was moist and the Petunias all looked very nice and healthy. Enclosed inside the Petunias box is a Costa Farms Care guide. It tells you how much light, water, fertilizer, Plant features and Special features about Petunias. You should only Fertilize at planting and they like lots of sun and medium water. Petunias attract Butterflies and Hummingbirds. You can plant them as borders, in containers or use them as ground cover. The guide is very informative. I carefully unpacked the brown paper from each Petunia container and will let them set in the house for a couple of days before I plant them in Pots. I live in the foothills of Colorado and it is not warm enough overnight to leave them out. We are expecting more snow this week. Petunias need 6 to 8 hours of sun daily to grow and thrive. I picked up a container, unwrapped the clear plastic film and tapped the Petunia from the container. I used 3 different Pots and planted all 6 Petunias. My back Patio door gets a lot of sun so I set the planted Petunia Pots in the sun. Now I am not leery about ordering Live Plants online, these Petunias from Costa Farms are beautiful and healthy. I am completely satisfied and will order again.

A very pretty purple petunia from Costa Farms that comes in one pint Growers pots. Who doesn't love a little vibrant purple in their Garden? I think this will add a nice pop of color wherever you put it. Petunias are generally very easy to grow although it's a little early to put outside in most climates. We certainly still get some pretty cold nights in our high desert climate . like most petunias this flower has a very pleasant mild fragrance. Overall it's a yes from me

This Costa Farms one pint Coral petunia flower in Growers pots of six-packs is very pretty. I know that petunias are pretty easy to grow in almost any climate including our high desert so I anticipate having some nice flowers this summer. A little too early for me to put them outside as we still get pretty cold nights , so if you have that where you live, be aware. My only somewhat negative comment would be that I would not call this color coral, t's really just a very nice pink. And of course as most petunias, it has a nice light fragrance. Overall it is a yes from me.

These flowers are great. They come well protected and wrapped in the box. The soil was very moist and every one of these has done well after replanting. The 12-pack will add a lot of color to your outdoor space. I decided to plant them in a couple of different larger pots and they filled the areas well. I have made sure to add water every day and they have retained all the flowers they came with Overall, I’m happy with these flowers.

I cannot say enough about the professional way that Costa Farms packed these plants, first they were wrapped in plastic to hold the potting material in, then a bamboo stake was in each pot, next they were wrapped in paper and placed in a cardboard box with bubble wrap so that the plants did not move in shipping. The plants arrived in grade A shape and I left them in box a few days before unpacking.

I have to hand it to Costa Farms for the professional way that these plants were packed, first they were wrapped in plastic wrap to hold in the potting mixture and they had a bamboo stake in each pot then wrapped in paper and then put in the cardboard box with bubble wrap between pots for a secure ride. The plants arrived in perfect shape as they were well watered and I left them in box for several days before unpacking. This by far is the very best packing for plants that I have ever received.

Absolutely perfectly beautiful and extremely well packaged so arrived in flawless condition. As can be seen from the photographs, these plants come in their own pots with a tall stick that reaches up to the top of the box to stabilize each plant during shipping. Also, each plant is wrapped in its own cone of paper to further stabilize each plant and each plant has been individually wrapped across the top of the pot to keep the soil in place and the soil moist. The flowers are gorgeous. They will go outside in about 10 days or so after I am sure that the weather will be safe. In the meantime, they are easy to care for sitting by a window. Finally, the flowers came with very informative instructions regarding how much sun.

The packaging of these flowers was very good. They are in plastic wrapped pots, tightly arranged in the box so there is no movement. Each plant is protected by a bamboo stalk extending from the pot and the whole plant is wrapped in glued kraft paper. Each plant seems healthy, and most actually have flowers. My only issue with the product is the enclosed information. It did not list planting distances or temperature tolerance. I emailed the company and got a response in two days. They said 12 to fourteen inches apart, temperatures to 60 degrees. I see Petunias planted already all around me in New York in late April so I hope it's OK to plant them now.

Just look at the pictures, they speak more and better than I will probably be able to express. From the packing, the shipping and quality of the plant’s foliage and their roots, it’s easy to see this is first class. They were individually wrapped in cellophane around the pot to keep in the moisture. Each had a bamboo pole to keep from anything damaging from on top. As you can see in my pictures, they had a nice root system started. They have transplanted well with NO losses. Last picture shows after 1 week these are HEALTHY plants, well done Costa Farms.

Large plants have bamboo poles in them to ensure the tops of plants are not damaged. They came very quickly. The quality of the plants is top notch. Many with blooms. If not blooming, then with buds just about ready to pop. I LOVE the items from Costa Farms. I highly recommend them.

If you are wondering about ordering live plants for delivery by mail, I have done it several times and it has always worked out fine. These 6 flower plants arrived in great shape. They were clearly marked which end was up, and arrived that way, but were so well packaged in the cardboard box and supplemental packaging that even a tip or turn would not have been a problem. Although there was a small bit of plastic wrap around the base of each plant, I am glad that they were not over-packaged with a bunch of non-recyclable materials. Despite sitting in my parcel drop-box for two days (I wasn’t home at the arrival time), they weren’t overly dry, and appeared to be in fine shape These flowers were starting to bloom, but I need to wait a week or so before transplanting. It just snowed 3 inches in my location in the Northern Rocky Mountains, so I don’t want to take too many chances. That will give them time to acclimate a bit. This is a good way to purchase live plants, especially if you can’t make it to a garden center or live in a remote location.

These came packed so beautifully. The plants were wrapped so nicely, they didn't move at all in the box. They were so pretty and ready to be planted. I love the color. The soil was moist and didn't need watering. They were packed tightly in the containers with plenty of soil. Easy to plant, already looks beautiful in my pots. I am so glad it is finally spring time.

WOW, Costa Farms and The Home Depot keep supplying beautiful plants ! These Petunias are the 1 pint size. They come shipped in a great (see photos) strong box. They are packed very good and the 6 plants are individually wrapped in strong brown paper after the pots are shrink wrapped ! Almost no soil was spilled ! These plants are very perky and the purple color is vibrant ! Fertilize when you plant them in full or partial sun ! I look for all 6 to flourish as Spring has finally sprung in the Southeast !!

All of these in the order arrived happy and healthy, well protected and ready to plant. There were none of them dry or overly wet, none broken, wrinkled or otherwise disturbed. They look as if they took the time as if they were picking plants at the greenhouse for them to take home for their own use and made great selections. Each plant is in its own planters pot, wrapped in cellophane around the pot and heavy brown paper the length of the plant and has a nice bamboo stake for each plant. We will need to babysit them for around a month because in our growing area we can expect frost right up until Mothers Day.

Good strong and healthy plants. These plans came well packaged and healthy, including the soil being moist for shipping. Over the years we have bought plants from Costa Farms via the Home Depot and have not been disappointed. What I like best about buying via the mail order is I think the people selecting the plants send the strongest, healthiest and best looking plants. This is a very low risk way to buy plants. See pictures, the 'white' looking parts of the pictures are the wrap that keeps the soil moist and in the container.

If you want beautiful, healthy, robust plants for your garden or house, Costa Farms is the place to go. We have used their plants for the past several years, whether outdoor annuals, indoor plants, or fresh, healthy wreaths for the front door for Christmas. They are prepared and shipped with care, usually being delivered by FedEx. The packing is amazing, with each plant being individually wrapped with heavy paper around the pot. Then, the pot is wrapped with plastic wrap all around to prevent any moisture loss during shipping. And they are packed with a box within a box and always arrive in beautiful shape. We have depended Costa Farms for years, and will continue to do so in the coming years.

The Costa Farms Coral Petunia Flowers in Grower's Pot arrived well packaged and undamaged. They did flowers seem to be in good health and already have blooms. These are great to add a little color in the flower bed or you can pot them and place them pretty much anywhere sunny. I have to be a little careful or they will end up being food for the deer.

Ever disappointed with live plants shipped from one of those nationally known nurseries? We have had plants be "dead on arrival", and some either never bloomed. We ordered a number of plants from Home Depot and shortly, there they were outside our garage (where the shippers are asked to leave packages). There were 4 separate orders but this review applies to all the plants (4 boxes) we received. First thing that impressed us was the packaging; Heavy duty cardboard, clearly marked with "This side up" and warnings against their getting too warm or too cold. In Colorado, one never knows about temperatures - a 65 degree day can be a 25 degree night so we unboxed the plants indoors. Our second surprise was to find all the plants in pots, adequately watered and individually wrapped to avoid soil spilling out of the pot. All the plants were in bloom, too. We are impressed with this order and my wife could not be more pleased with the way they were shipped, arrived and the quality of these plants from Florida.. Even compared to plants hand-picked from a nursery, these are top-notch. Thanks HD and Costa Farms.
