Pros: Wasn’t too bad to assemble. So far it’s been a great product and has done exactly what I hoped it would do. Works awesome. Cons: Pretty Expensive for what it is and compared to some other brands of baggers. If you decided now to bag your grass that day it’s kind of a hassle to unhook and disconnect the bagger.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The plastic clip on one side that holds the top to the rail where the bag slides on broke into pieces during our first use. Very upset we paid a lot for this and its falling apart right out of the gate. Can't be fixed from what I see.

The bagger is really easy to assemble and work to with, however it is all plastic and within 3 hours of use one of the lid latches broke and now we have to use a bungee cord to hold the lid down, I am sure the other latch will break fairly soon. Another plastic piece broke off that holds the bagger onto the metal frame. For the price of the bagger it should be built to last; we all know plastic will easily break. I guess everything is built to be disposable now, but the price is not disposable.

I bought this unit despite the negative reviews some were giving it. Aside from being short one of the nylon locknuts, assembly went pretty smooth. I wish they included washers for the bolts they include, but a trip back to home depot and couple bucks later I was happy. The unit will assemble fine without the washers, but I don't like to torque down bolts onto things without a washer in between. Either the bags fill up really quick, or my previous walk behind sucked at bagging. Either way my yard is small and the only reason we purchased the zt1-50 is to save some wear and tear on my knees. I can see why people are braking the tabs on the lid. If you do not open it as it states in the instruction manual it will break. Instead of using one of the included nylon locknuts, I purchased a wingnut so I could remove the bagger without tools. A little more than I wanted to spend, but I had no choice and I wanted it.

Easy to assemble and install. My yard looks great!

Overall my experience with this bagging system was not enjoyable. Shipping and assembly went smoothly but that was it. Upon making a perimeter pass around my one acre lawn I had to stop before half way to empty the SMALL BAGS that come with the grass catcher. I started the mower up again and noticed grass building up in the tube (the lawn was dry after sitting in 101 degree heat in full sun for a full day in arid western Colorado) which it would not clear. I mowed for another 10 feet before a clip broke on the PLASTIC that holds the whole assembly on to the metal support, this resulted in the bags falling out and hood piece sliding off the back. In all, I was mowing for only FIVE MINUTES before this $500 accessory rendered itself useless. I can't begin to explain my frustration and disappointment with this product. I have a 2019 54" ZT1 which was built extremely solid and I have no issues with the mower, however I would have hoped that Cub Cadet would have built a rigid and solid accessory to go with the mower and not a cheap piece a over priced plastic. Unfortunately, this is a newer mower and I have been unable to find alternatives to this grass catcher, so it appears that I will be stuck with either raking or fighting with cheap plastic.

Lasted 7 months and fell apart. Plastic clips snapped and bags starting to fall apart.

After one season using this product, I'm disappointed. The plastic lid does not latch anymore and I've had to use zip ties to keep both the lid shut and the plastic top attached to the metal frame. Some days I spend as much time trying to keep the lid closed as I do mowing!

To Install: First you will need a good quality magnifying glass to read instructions. Secondly, you will need a PhD in engineering to decipher instructions. Finally, you will need about six hours of time. Worth it? Time will tell but so far it works as advertised.

These reviews are hilarious and spot on. I bought this bagger for my CC mower back in 2020 and had to bungee cord it together after about 6 months due to the cheap parts. It finally basically broke in half and fell apart so while I was online searching for a replacement I thought I would check out the reviews... apparently bungee cords should come with the bagger since seemingly every one needs them to hold this piece of garbage together! Misery loves company as they say :) Even the tube is ripping apart. To be fair, though, it functioned properly as far as bagging grass goes until it entirely fell apart...

The bagger is made out of cheap plastic and has broken all over the place. Mine is now held together with bailing wire and screws. Yours will be too.

I got mine last spring and it has been a terrible experience. Hose won’t stay on tube. Grass clippings come out side and the part that hold the hose in the compartment has broke on both sides and won’t stay on frame. Paid a lot of money for the rider and the bagger and so far not pleased

We had issues since we bought it.

We were so excited to purchase our Cub Cadet ZT1 with a 50” deck. In June 2020. We ordered the double bagger and the first season the top tab broke and we had to use a bungee cord to keep the top closed. The plastic tubes that hold it on the frame started breaking and falling off! After spending over $500.00 for the bagger, we couldn’t afford another one. We just attempted to purchase a new top for it to find out the original model has been replaced with another one! Not sure what to do now. Only used for two seasons in Indiana so the seasons are short!

I was hoping other people just had bad experiences and mine would be different... boyyyy was I wrong. I have had more grass on me than anything. There's gaps where grass shoots out the back onto me and it's an overall terrible design. Like others said, its cheaply made. Again.... DO NOT BUY. Also it is wayyyyyy too overpriced for what youre buying

Happy with the Mower itself. Not so much the bagger. In just the first three months I had to replace one of the bags due to the plastic breaking. Now I have to replace the whole upper part of the bagging system after only 2 years, it really could have been sooner but I used Gorilla Tape to keep it together for all of last year I believe I should have gotten more use out of it. You make a good mower but the bagger is junk. Needs to be made stronger. Is there any plans to make a better bagging system. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks

This piece of junk fell apart after only two seasons. No way to repair it or replace parts. Worst product I've bought in decades. No help from Cub Cadet either.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my ZT mower I May of this year (2021). Love the mower. With all the leaves of fall, I thought it would be a great option to add the bagger accessory. The bagger broke after 3 uses!! The clip that holds the lid down broke. The rest of the bagger works well. The lid is bolt out of thin plastic. Hopefully this products warranty holds true.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is cheaply made. I had it for a little over a year and one of the clips to hold the top closed snapped. I am very disappointed. Now when I mow all the clippings and leaves fly out of the bagger.

Everything fit and works as intended. But when I got it home and opened the box there was a dead bird in there and bird poop everywhere. After washing everything products where great just nasty.

For starters the chute clogs constantly and causes the deck to clog as well. But on top of that there is a design flaw in hoe the chute attaches to the deck, it uses an offset hook bracket to lick int the front and a nut in tge rear. The problem is that the little bracket attaches to the plastic chute via 2 nuts/bolts through plastic without reinforment of the plastic, so the first time you accidently clip something with the chute, it rips the bolts straight through the plastic, leaving you to become creative with a diy repair. But even without this issue, this bagging system is terrible

The bags are too small

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this with high hopes since we are happy with the zero turn purchased earlier in the season. Purchased to make fall leaf collecting easier and more timely. NOT worth the money. The cap/lid does not fit properly, needs to be held in place with a bungee cord which is frustrating to have to unhook each time the bags need to be dumped. We have more than 1.5 acres with several trees on the edge of the property so when using the bag for grass but especially leaves, it fills fast. Dealing with the poor construction of the cover system and messing with the bungee cord every few minutes when dumping the bags gets old and irritating quickly. Where the cap attaches to frame is not a good design either. Very expensive lesson learned since it can't be returned once we used it but you don't know the design flaws until you buy and use it. Instead of making your fall clean up easier, it makes it more frustrating.

Have had the same issues as many of these other reviews, bought my bagger back in May of 2019, and had issues almost immediately. I thought the bagger clogged easily at first, but I've gotten used to it (I know its limitations, mowed slower, emptied bags more often, etc.) The real issue with this bagger is the plastic components, my mower works great and still looks brand new after two years, the bagger has completely fallen apart. It hasn't stayed closed since day one and the plastic clips that hold it to the metal bars are all broken. Very disappointed...

Absolutely awful. The hinge pin never stays in place, so it flops all over when trying to empty it. Also, you never want to clog it because it is a huge hassle to take the entire thing off to clear it. Very disappointed.

Very disappointed with this bagger. It has way to small of capacity for the size of mower. I spend way to much time emptying the bags, every 3 passes. Also very cheaply made, clips holding the plastic on have all broken. Can't believe they would make such a cheap accessory for such a great lawnmower. Do not waste your money!!
