It cuts my fresh sourdough bread well, but you have to exert a lot of pressure on the button, and keep holding it down. It makes it a little difficult. I would not recommend this for anyone who has any hand issues like arthritis etc.

Returned knife, difficult to hold thumb trigger down. Knife kept stopping.

My knife just failed. The motor runs but the blades no longer move - very disappointed. I have only used this knife 5 times. The cover is assembled with tamper proof screws so there is no way to take it apart and have a look at what is wrong.

Really nice electric knife. Easy to use and sharp. Great for homemade bread slicing.

The lack of instructions on how to properly and safely use this knife, was shocking. They kept referring to the blade when it was two different pieces of metal. Two different blades that I had no idea how to fit them in had no idea how they moved. I have never used an electric knife before. I have had instructions that were more clearly delineated For things that could not possibly hurt me. And yet for something as dangerous as an electric knife, your instructions were pitiful. So disappointed.

Lightweight and efficient; cuts reasonably thin slices quickly without need for sawing. Owned about a week, cleaning and storage in small places very easy.

Easy to use electric knife. It fits my hand comfortably and makes carving a breeze.

My sister cooked the turkey for our Christmas dinner and brought her own electric knife. I was so impressed with how easy it was to use that I purchased the same Cuisinart knife for myself with the Christmas money I received as a gift. I love it.

I purchased this for slicing homemade sourdough bread. Unfortunately, it wasn't stout enough for the task so I returned it.

Afew things I really like about it isyou can cut at any angle, the other thing I like is the thumb press to turn it on, works great for me

This knife replaced an older electric knife. Love this new one. It carved a ribeye roadt easily. It also cuts perfect french bread slices.

I was an electric knife worked like it should

The knife works well. Easy to figure out assembly and usage from the directions. The plastic handle part gets sticky and feels like that kind of plastic that over time will feel sticky and can't be cleaned

Good sharp knife..like it but button sticks sometimes and goes on and off

I bought this to replace a 20 year old electric knife that still worked, but the knives seemed a bit dull. This isn't any better than my 20 year old knife as far as design. The blades are new and sharper, but that's it. It's hard to hold down the button to keep the knife on with my thumb. I usually cut four loaves of bread with my electric knife once a week. After just cutting one loaf with this knife, the handle was getting noticeably warm. By the time I finished the second loaf, my hand and thumb needed a break. I waited 15 minutes and finished the other two loaves. By the end, my wrist hurt and the handle was hot. Really not impressed with this knife. Will be sending it back and will just buy a regular non-electric bread knife.

Blades are too wimpy. Motor is not very good. Smell electric when i use it.

I love it. Used it to slice a ham. Easy to hold. Blades insert easily.

I bought this to slice my sourdough bread. It doesnt do as well as I hoped, but at least, once i get started, i can cut even slices a bit easier.

We had started buying Cuisinart kitchen appliances, pots and pans, etc. about 8 years ago. This electric knife is the first Cuisinart knife we’ve ever had and are extremely happy with the overall quality and easy usage! I have to say neither of us were surprised with the performance of this knife, as we own several Cuisinart kitchen items and love each one of them. This review, however, is the first of its kind from me. Totally hooked on Cuisinart; they’ve never disappointed us!
