Nice sealer easy to apply and seems to work well
Just had our bathrooms remodeled last year. I needed to re-seal the tumbled stone floor as the original sealer didn't seem to hold up well. As far as smell goes, it DOES have one, but it's not horrible...the vent fan worked fine to ventilate. I applied with a microfiber cloth, worked into all of the tile and grout, buffed excess off with a dry cloth, then let dry. I did this for three coats with thorough drying between. Photos show the shower floor and the water test I did after three coats.

    No luck
I’ve tried a few different sealers, this one had the best reviews so far. Gave it a shot, it seals well but just like the others it makes the black grout white and foggy. Grout was dried for a week before water touched it. Sealed, then waited. You can see in the photo what I’m talking about.

      Don't listen to the skeptics!
I was a little hesitant on purchasing this product because of some of the reviews concerning the white film the product leaves behind, but I purchased it and sealed my brand new porcelain tile and grout. BEST PRODUCT EVER!!! Not only does it make the Tile look great with a slight sheen, it absolutely protects your investment. I tested by pouring water over the Tile and grout afterwards and it works as advertised. The water just sits right on top of the grout and doesn't seep in. Now...the people the state the product leaving a white film behind...they obviously have never detailed a car in their life. I'd recommend having 2 microfiber cloths on hand to wipe the area after you've applied the product because, yes it does start foaming on the Tile and can leave a white film. One wipe with a microfiber to get up the white film foam, then the other microfiber cloth to buff the tile clean works really well. Depending on the amount of square footage, you may have to use 2 new microfiber cloths if the originals become too soiled. I'd recommend 2 coats of sealants on areas that are prone to water (laundry room, kitchen sink, shower, etc).

Grout still not sealed after 3 coats
I'm currently on the 3rd coat of my bathroom floor and water still seems to penetrate the grout. I'm not sure this product works at all. I'll end up using the entire $40 bottle and may not get a decent result. Very frustrating.

This product penetrated to slate but did not have the shine I wanted to see.

Pretty good coverage for the price. I thought this was expensive at the time of purchase but it did cover well. Dry time was very good. Now to see how it holds up over time, hopefully better than deck treatments I seen in the past.

Product was easy to apply to our 5' x 5' floor to ceiling shower and dried as indicated. The exhaust fan was used to vent the slight odor of the product that disappeared in 24 hours. After 2 weeks I did end up applying a second coat to just the sliced pebble tile shower floor as it seemed to soak up more than the grout on the walls. Works well and I will buy more as needed. I still have some in the bottle for a 3rd floor coat if needed.

This product is the best sealer ever. It has been used on my balcony for 4 months now, and standing water will simply stand. NONE at all is absorbed. Dries totally transparent and is easy to wipe off. I use 2 coats on wall and 3 on floors because I want it to last forever. Picture shown over Merola tiles in Hudson Truffle and Cookies n Cream (wall and floor respectively). I am now doing a shower and remain just as pleased. Dries as if it was never there. Yes, grout is darkened during application but dries clear.

You Get What You Pay For
This stuff is the best of the best...I did my research, and every positive thing I have read about this product has proven to be true. I just wish they sold a container of this twice the size, because there is way, way, more than you could ever use. You could tile a kitchen and two bathrooms and still have a good amount left. It goes on easy..soaks in...and really does respell liquids and stains. We installed chalk white (and porous) Travertine tile in our kitchen, including the stove backsplash....and my fear was things like spaghetti sauce staining the tile. I did try staining some sample tiles, and while the manufacturer is honest in saying that some things may still stain tile...I actually had good luck splashing both spaghetti sauce....and mustard on the sample times...and both wiped off with a damp cloth. I do recommend you read the instructions carefully, and apply two applications. Unlike some others here...I did not notice any real unpleasant odor or fumes..but you still will want to keep your windows open. Additionally.......this product did not stain the tile a different color at all....nor did it chance the "feel" of the tile whatsoever.

            Great product-a little pricey
I have used other sealers from Custom but this one truely is superior to their standard sealer. It penetraded and was absorbed very well and evenly. This was the first time I tryed this particular sealer from Custom and I am pleased with it. It is pricey, however when compared to their standard sealer I found that you truely get what you pay for.

Great grout sealer - appearance remains unchanged
I wanted a good grout / tile/ stone sealer that would seal my grout and tumbled travertine tile, but keep the dry look as opposed to enhanced color / wet look. Researched and found this. Hasn't been on but a few weeks, but so far, so good. The product DOES NOT change the appearance. Initially it darkens it when wet, but when it dries out, it looks like dry, like original. Easy to use & apply. Remember to wipe off after 5 min or it may look cloudy. I used it on tumbled rough travetine countertop. Travertine still has that dry, stony character. No chance to observe stain resistance yet. An internet study showed this to be one of the best, if not 'the best' for stain resistance. My only experience so far, is that I also sealed my floor grout with it (porcelain tile). When I went to caulk tub, excess caulk easily cleaned from the tile, tub, AND grout! The only drawback is that the dry feeling travetine, after one coat - could not tell much difference from orig. But after 2 coats (necessary as per instructions) ... the travertine had a slightly rubbery or plastic like texture. Just slight, and is OK, but not feel like original stone to the hand. Seems like it has a thin surface coat. You may or may not find this OK ...so test, &test w 2 coats. I will use it on my future tiles that I do not want enhanced.

Does Not Seal Grout at All
I saw the other reviews saying that this product didn't work, but I foolishly ignored them assuming they just didn't use it right. Well its a good thing these guys don't make birth control because this product doesn't work at all. The grout has never been sealed before, so I put a coat of this on came back the next day and splashed some water on the tile. The water was immediately absorbed by the grout, so I did another coat. No difference. Third coat was same result. Total waste of $200.

I reapply this every 12 months to my shower and it simplifies my cleaning process- no pink mold, no black stains, don't need to bleach every week. In the guest bathroom, the shower stays in perfect condition for as long as they're visiting.

This product is the best it seats porous stone and grout perfectly usually in one coat, grout never sticks to the stone when this product is used!

I purchased a tile with a crackled glazed finish. Aqua Mix Gold is the manufacturer’s recommended sealer, so I was glad to find it at Home Depot without having to order. It applied easily with a sponge brush. I let it soak in for about 10 minutes and then wiped off the excess. It took a little elbow grease to polish everything again, but it wasn’t too difficult. Water beads up on the tile now and most importantly the grout didn’t stain my tile.

I have used Aqua Mix products to clean and seal my 2016 whole house tile, apprx 1,100 sq ft. I am very pleased with the results. I expect to redo within a 10 year span.

We've used this product before to seal our flagstone patio after cleaning it, and it works really well. I do like the price too.

              sealed concrete countertop
Sealed my new concrete countertop. Cured for 3 weeks before sealing. I used multiple coats(lost track). Keeps water from soaking in for about 2 mins. Not sure if thats the extent of its “sealing” capabilities but I expected much more for the price. Not impressed. Will be trying to get a refund.
