Sets up really fast. Make sure you dont have a large area to do or if so have someone assist you so that the tile may be laid faster than by yourself. Have any cuts already done as this mortar will be rock solid in 30-40mins.

My wife bought a bag of this because it was only 25 pounds and she did not want extra mortar laying around while finishing one last wall with tiles. I WISH she would have just bought more FlexBond. I can lay out a couple rows of tiles with this stuff before it becomes gritty. But you had better clean your gear right then or it will never come off. This is more of a dry gritty feel to it once it starts to firm up. I noticed that tiles on a vertical surface slid very easily compared to other Thin Set mortars. For some reason this stuff has limited adhesion. I saved some dried mortar for a strength test. This stuff breaks very easily compared top Flexbond. This is ok for patch work, but as I have an entire wall to tile, I must now make the long drive to buy better mortar.

Used this product today. It says to add 3 quarts of cool water, then thunder then mix. Was hard as a rock! Should tell you to add a small amount at a time and then mix. Tried a second bag, adding a little at a time. Consistency seemed correct Similar to pancake batter after adding about 2/3s of thunder. Mixed for the 5 minutes recommended and then left for 3. Came back and it was hard as a rock! Will never use this stuff again! What a waste of time and money! Wish I could give it a 0
