My daughter was pregnant so needed a low odor grout sealer to use on her shower. Product works well and is very easy to apply.

Followed the instructions and applied multiple coats to my basalt tile before grouting. Grout still got into the tile, leaving light specks on what should have been a solid dark gray tile. No amount of scrubbing was able to get it off. Contacted company to confirm the sealer is good for basalt, and they said it would work. Maybe the sealer works as intended for other tiles, but it ruined mine.

This product does not seal the grout. We have new porcelain tile floor and premium grout which is prudent to seal especially in the kitchen. Purchased the 24 Oz. and the 6 Oz. container with the brush applicator. Applied the "sealer" to clean dry grout and waited a day until it was thoroughly dry. Tested the seal using a few drops of water and the grout immediately soaked the water. Applied the sealer two more times over a week's time, letting it thoroughly dry and still it did not seal the grout. This water-based sealer is almost the consistency of water, drys clear but did not seal the grout. See attached pictures. Not only a waste of money but some five hours of labor to move furniture, clean the floor, and apply the sealer three times. I do not recommend this product.

applied 3 coats, still not sure if it need a few more. had to coat tile before installing made it a lot easier to grout.

Besides the inside of both showers I will also be sealing the grout & tiles in both bathroom floors, kitchen and front door entrance. I did the kitchen last year but need to clean the grout first. You need to seal both the tile and grout. I fill up my spray bottle and liberally spray the wall especially the grout lines until I see them soaked starting from the top and catching any run down with the soft side of a grout sponge. The edge of the floor will need a wipe too from the drips. Then either with my hand or sponge I lightly massage the sealer into the tile using a circular motion. I let it sit for 5 min then remove any remaining sealer with a micro fibre cloth wiping in a circular motion before it dries. If lots of sealer was soaked in then you should apply it a 2nd time. And yes, dry off your 1st coat so it doesn’t dry and cause stains. Once the cloth gets too wet I grab another one until the tile is clean and spotless. I do 1 wall at a time and do the floor last. I have both large and small tiny tiles and couldn’t do this with a brush or I’d be painting for hrs which is a waste of time. I used this on Glass/Marble, Marble, polished porcelain, porcelain.

I love the ease of use and that it is water based, i used it to seal a bridge for my bearded dragon that i covered in poly blend sanded grout. It is also easily colored to add staining if desired.

Felt it was pricey but refilled my smaller bottle well. Easy to apply using the smaller bottle with brush.

This product does not perform as advertised. It does not seal the grout and allows water to seep into the grout lines. Please stop selling this product as a sealer because it does not seal. Applied 3 substantial coats with 3 hours in between and the next day the water would not bead up. Waste of time and money.

2 coats on grout lines, newly installed ceramic tile floors. Will not bead at all, water drops still penetrate, grout still changes color. experienced contractor with 20 years, never had this bad of results.

Super easy to apply, and made clean up on a Saltillo tile job a lot easier.

I bought this products and waste my monny it turn my tiles white the next day. I call the company on the back of the product and wont give me may monny back.

Keeps my floor much easier to maintain !

We followed the instructions on the package, yet found that despite our best efforts, any sealer that dripped onto our beautiful new tile left ugly streaks. It took hours of scrubbing and three (3) different cleaning agents to try to get them off. We definitely DO NOT recommend this product.

Used this to seal new backsplash and does a fine job. Would buy again

my experience with this product is exactly the same as others - left milky white residue. Company solution is to BUY MORE PRODUCTS they sell to fix the problem !! what a joke and what a poorly written set of instructions. it should be very clear on the label how avoid problem that obviously hundreds of customers have been complaining about.

I spent days installing porcelain tiles in my house. It looked very nice with a dark brown grout. Then I used this junk and THE TILE JOB IS RUINED!!! It looks like someone poured milk in the grout. I am upset with HD for carrying this junk. Now I have hours of scrubbing with ACID on a week old grout job! I hope I can save the floor and the hundreds of dollars I have invested in my home improvement project. DON'T BUY IT! HOME DEPOT---DON'T SELL IT!!

As many others have mentioned, this product WILL put a white film over your grout. If you have white grout, great. If you don't.... you will. It can be removed with a _lot_ of work and some vinegar and water. But it will take a long time. All from a product that already cost you $11.00. HD should stop carrying this product.

I used the prior version on saltillo with success, and tried a bit of the left over on my new porcelain tile. The old version added a bit of sheen, which I liked, and I had hoped I wouldn't have to avoid getting the product on the porcelain tile (since the directions only advise removing 'excess' sealer from the tiles.) I purchased what I thought was a newly repackaged version of the same product. I couldn't have been more mistaken. This product leaves white cloudy streaks on the tile. Fortunately I did a test tile first, but it shows streaks on the edge of the tiles even though I used a glue brush to apply the product just to the grout joint. On the grout, if you go back and add another coat it will dry to a white powdery finish. A stiff toothbrush dulls the white haze on the grout (not on the tile). Fortunately the tile and grout are gray and it doesn't show too much. What do I do with the leftover? I can't even donate it to Habitat to Humanity in good conscience. More trash in the landfill.

Applied two coats with bristle and squeeze bottle. Water stayed out of grout after testing. Did not change color of grout.

Just spray on and wipe off excess in a few minutes. Easy to apply. I put on two coats on new backsplash. Seems to protect the new grout very well.

I wish I would have read the reviews on this before I purchased it. It left a white residue on my floor. I had to scrub my floor 4 times and if water drops on it then drys, it leaves a stain. I returned the product but I'm so frustrated that I will spend my day writing reviews on every websites review board!

takes 2 coats to seal properly and works well with the roller applicator that you can find at home depot as well. I pour it out of the spray bottle into the roller applicator and use it that way.
