I bought this primarily because I was frustrated with flaps that leak. I didn't so much care about the dual-flush aspect but figured that was a bonus. Time will tell if it lasts longer than a flapper but I think it should. It is very well engineered and the instructions are mostly good. The frustrating thing I had is that the instructions don't mention at all what to do if the overflow tube is too short. In fact, I had to figure out on my own that was the problem. In my case, the #1 flush couldn't be adjusted to work. I adjusted it to its most powerful flush and it still wouldn't even take a single piece of toilet paper down the drain. I eventually figured out that I had to replace the original overflow tube with a longer one. This scenario isn't covered at all in the instructions. Not the end of the world and I guess they can't account for every possible configuration. The other issue I have is the rather cheezy looking "chrome" plastic flush handle. I would have preferred white if they weren't going to do it in real metal. Metalic looking plastic just looks cheaper than cheap to me. But again, every toilet and every decor and taste is different so I can't really hold this against them. I'd buy it again, so these aren't huge complaints.

Overall I'm really happy with this product. I converted all 3 of our toilets to this system in a short period of time. A few things to note: -Get the kind with the lever, not the button. (People complain about the button) -You will likely need to adjust the single flush positioner (blue thing in the middle) all the way down for the half flush to work right. -If single flush still doesn't work, your starting water level is too low and you need to raise it up to just below to the top of the overflow tube. No leaks, seems to flush stronger than my old flapper style setup did. Make sure you use the rubber ring to help hold this thing in place. If you don't, I can see how it could easily move and start leaking. From reading the reviews, I get the impression that people just didn't install it right which is probably their fault. The instructions weren't amazing but they were adequate.

Sometimes works ok, but most of the time you have to do two flushes to empty bowl, even fully adjusted. I don't think it is saving any water.

The installation was a snap! Did need tools to remove the old supply line, no tools were required for the actual installation. Was concerned about the low volume for the single flush, then read the instructions and found that both flushes were adjustable. Now it works great! Uses less water yet has a stronger flush then the old flush system.

I picked this up a few months ago. It installed easily and worked as expected with one BIG exception. It takes quite a bit of force to push the button to get it to flush. After a few months, my wife and kids insisted that I replace it. It is a great idea and if only it was easier to use I would have kept it.

We had a toilet that was always leaking water back into the bowl so it ran all the time. Bought this it was easy to install and works great, It uses very little water on the light flush I can't wait to see my next water bill.

I was excited to install this product and save water with every flush. It was easy to install and worked perfectly for about a year until... the plastic tab that holds the flush converter to the refill tube broke. The flush converter was not able to maintain the seal around the valve seat and it started to leak. So I sadly went back to the plain flapper.

I purchased this product but the one that had a dual push button rather than the lever. Because I had a Mansfield toilet, I needed to purchase another kit that contained an overflow tube. After installing that, this unit was a very quick to add on. The key to understanding the flush mechanism is that the blue floater controls the quick flush and the green adjuster controls the full flush. Once in their respective position, the higher they are placed less water is used and the lower more water is expelled. Understanding this will allow you to make the fine adjustments.

I bought the unit without the fill valve,but I had to go back and buy the valve, for about the same price you can get everything in one package. The salesman neglected to mention that

I was excited to get 2 of these to install in my house. i like the idea of using less water. However they do noy seat right in the drain and there is a constant leak. This results in the unit having to fill itself many times throughout the day. We are using more water now than before installing these. I will be returingin them this week.

Installed this on my older toilet, tried adjusting the step1 and step2 settings for hours as suggested by instructions. Flushes are not efficient and have to hold the button to flush for both 1 and 2. Just buy a new toilet if your toilet is older and needs the volume of water to properly flush.

Just installed and it took a little more than 10 minutes but that was not a big deal, as it was easy. I TAUGHT my granddaughter how to use and I have no problem with the seat hitting the push button. The bathroom installed is not a guest bathroom so I don't have to worry about people being confused on the concept of pushing a button to flush a toilet.....will do a follow up review in a couple of months, sooner if I experience any problems.

I got this after seeing the display in home depot and thought it was pretty neat. The installation was easy and it worked pretty well for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, the single flush stopped working properly. The water kept running until I would press the button a few more times. The other negative is that the button is small and hard to push. I ended up taking out the device and put in a different brand with a lever that works great.

TWO WAY HANDLE IS BEST. PUSH BUTTON IS HARDER TO USE

Good quality, easy to install but the push button model did not work well for the wife and kids. Customer service was very helpful in providing the handle model which I think will work out much better all around.

i really liked the idea of a dual flush retro kit but this one isn't ready for full time use. The button doesn't allow the lid to go flush against the tank when open, which is annoying when the lid and seat are open as you have to be careful it doesnt fall back down. After a year of use the toilet leaks constantly and uses MORE water then before! If you want to try this thing out you can have mine, I'm going back to the standard flush equipment.

This was easy to install and the idea is great for saving water. the small flush doesn't release enough water to remove a single sheet of paper in a 1987 American Standard toilet. The standard flush is just like any other.

Just replace my old Flushing components with this product. I wasted already in one week water that I would use for the rest of the year to do fine tuning and adjustments. I had to take the whole flush tank off as the over flow pipe broke while I'm installing the flush part over it. Now I've to deal with ghost flushing (the flush works by itself). Leaks water in the bowl constantly. After I've went through all the adjustments and watch all the manufacture videos online on their website I return it and replace with the old traditional flush components.

Easy to install, I recommend replacing the fill / float valve when you install the dual flush converter. You will want to control the amount of water that is pumped into the bowl to maximize water savings. No tools required to replace the flapper with the dual flush converter, but you will need plyers to replace the fill valve. Customer support from MJSI Inc. was superior. I installed two units. One was missing a part. MJSI sent the part to me in two days by UPS express.

it is a very good product (our second one). It is easy to install, although the claim of "no tools" is a tiny bit misleading: 1. you need a plumbers plier to remove the old standpipe mechanism and 2. you need a small pair of pliers to tighten them cable tie (and a pair of scissors to clip it after). We too have found the push button too difficult for many to use easily and I have just requested the part from the manufacturer. (no, home depot does not carry repair / replacement parts for this line).

The idea of dual flush is good. The quality of the product is good, but did not work for me. Had this for about a year Initially was very excited about saving water using the quick flush. The quick flush is not enough to flush and had to invariably use the full flush. Also there is a slow drain and had to constantly (weekly) keep adjusting it. Got fed up of it and replaced it with the normal flush

The whole purpose for spending the extra money for this was the dual flush. Couldn't get the half flush to work properly so I returned it the next day. Also very inconvenient design, the flush control winds up behind the seat when the seat is in the upright position. Nice concept just didn't work for me.

initially bought the dual button version and had all kinds of problems. Customer service sent me dual handle part which hooks up with no tools. Now works great. One minor problem was plastic tie wrap that broke but I replaced it with stronger one and no other problems since.

This is the right thing to save money and super easy to install. I really like the 'light flush' feature for number 1's.

The Quick Flush only works 50% of the time. I constantly have to use the full flush. So much for saving water! At least the toilet doesn't keep running like before.

I have a 1.6 gal toilet and this unit did not have enough adjustment for the low volume flush to work on my toilet. It installed very easily and fit well, just would not work on low.

These are the best i have seen for many years they work great.

This is a great product - not as easy to install as I hoped (hence 4 instead of 5 stars), but that may have been partly due to my toilet being a little odd. Now that it's installed and tweaked to the right water settings, it works great! You should get one. Get it right now. You have no excuse.

Purchased for Kohler toilet over 20 years old. Works well so far, in operation only couple months. But was fairly easy to install following instructions after reading carefully. Makes a "clunk" sound midway thru flush, but does flush. No problems with liquids or solids going down. Happy with purchase. Have not received a water bill yet to compare savings. Button requires firm push to operate, may be difficult for young child or elderly, but this may just be the one I happened to choose. I also installed complete kit in another bath and the button works much easier.
