Thank you for posting your feedback. We're sorry to see your low star review on DAP Silicone Max. Silicone chemistry has a wide temperature application range, however, unlike many other chemistries, silicone requires moisture to cure, application under low humidity conditions can lead to slow performance development. Likewise, aged product will typically cure at a significantly slower rate. Based on your commentary indicating: “The next tube was leaking caulk inside the tube and leaked about 1/3 of the tube before I discovered the issue.”, this would appear to signal that the inner foil seal inside the base of the nozzle was not punctured. As indicated on the product package label: "2. Cut nozzle at a 45º angle to desired bead size. 3. Puncture inner foil seal. 4. Load cartridge into caulk gun.” Failure to puncture the inner foil seal will not permit the product the flow from the application tip as intended. At your convenience, please contact DAP's Technical Customer Service Department at 888-327-8477 so that we can obtain some additional information from you. When calling, please be sure to have the packages (cartridges) available, as we will need to verify the production code in order to determine the date of manufacture.
