Excellent weed and grass trimmer would recommend to anyone. A little on the heavy side so beware.

Really great power even on low setting, easy string loading, and not having the engine vibration jarring your arms and wrists is a huge plus. The battery lasts 45 mins to an hour, and if I had a second one I’d be able to weed eat for as long as I’d ever care to in a sitting. Only had it a month or so, but I like it so far!

I am impressed by battery powered shop and yard tools these days. The 16" chainsaw performs nearly as well as its gas powered equal. It is easier to grab, put in a battery and go when I want to cut a 2" to 6" log or two. The gas chainsaws are still good for large jobs in the woods, but the battery powered one is great for the "burbs".

We've had two 20V trimmers which eventually broke. This one seems much more robust. The description says it comes with a 3AH battery, which isn't much power, but ours came with a 9AH battery which lasts a good length of time. So far, so good.

Assembled in seconds. Feels very robust and the bump feature works great. More powerful than my gas powered trimmer by far. Have a 10,000 sqft yard, more than enough battery power to finish the job and then some. 9 ah battery, takes roughly 2 1/4 hours to charge. Cut down 3 ft tall grass with an ease This trimmer is a beast! But be weary of the angle you cut at. 2 things, curved shaft would be useful and...080 & .095 can be used. Buy industrial line, the Dewalt line is less than par, very cheap.

Great trimmer, but the line gets tangled in the head. Will be replacing it with an echo head and 0.095 trim line.

Excellent product. The oil does leak when sitting flat. Cuts well and great battery life. Should had purchased sooner.

Works better than expected.

As is normal, I probably bought more than I need, but it works like a charm. Like most cordless products, the battery prices are ridiculous but it is quiet, basically vibration free, and cuts like crazy.

Plenty of power for a medium size yard

Works very well on the weeds on my hillside.

My Troy-Bilt string trimmer quit on me. It allowed me to swap tool heads which the DeWalt tool offered too. Assembly was intuitive. Remove tube insert in the power head shaft and cap on the trimmer head. I tackled the yard and trimmed the landscape beds and edged the driveway. Trimmer noise was more excessive than what I expected. I swapped my TB trimmer head and noise reduced significantly. I was glad that I could rotate the trimmer head vertically which has not been mentioned in other reviews.

I have never switching to battery over my gas weed eater but at 76 I decided to try. This tool is great the battery life exceeds my 60 minute limit a day for working. Cuts the tall weeds as well as my gas one. A little heavier but with battery it is fairly balanced. I plan to keep my gas one too though.

I'm very surprised at the design of the guard- a considerable amount of shrapnel from trimming hits you in the upper body and face- glad that I was wearing safety glasses. The quality of the design for poor. I overlooked how offset/spaced the guard was from the trimmer head assuming that DeWalt had engineered it flawlessly like other products of theirs- this was not the case. In the past, wearing safety glasses was a good idea with this product it's an absolute must.

CONSTANTLY THROWS THE CHAIN OFF THE BAR. CHAIN ALSO DULLS VERY FAST. THIS PURCHASE ALONE HAS CONVINCED ME TO START BUYING MILWAUKEE TOOLS.

Cuts great. None of the problems others have poi ted out battery lasts fir dozens of cuts, chain did not come off. Did not overheat ( if your chainsaw overheats, chain is to tight, if chain comes off, chain is to loose.)Great saw.
