Did exactly what I thought it would. Hardly uses any juice. I really like the variable speed dial. In my opinion, Dewalt is the best name in tools!

I bought these items brand new. The random orbital sander was broken. The little boat that holds the sanding sheets on the sander body snapped in half. Half of the screw is stuck in the sanding body while the top of the screw is rattling around in the piece that holds the sanding sheets. After paying a lot of money for a quality product and then a long wait for the item to arrive, I would expect it to be in working order. My guess is the sander was used and then returned by another customer and then sold to me without being tested. I encourage others to buy from different retailers to avoid this inconvenience.
