I tried everything for a week and a half to remove a Honda crankshaft bolt. Nothing worked. I bought this online and it was at my door the next day. Spun that crankshaft bolt off in under 3 seconds. Highly recommend.

I own alot of Dewalt power tools. This Dewalt high torque impact wrench is powerful and more than enough battery power for constant use. You cannot beat the power, price and reliability of the Dewalt.

I’ve used the Milwaukee 1/2 inch impact from friends. Was wondering if the Dewalt would be just as good. Very surprised. Only bad thing I can say about this is the Milwaukee feels better in the hand. Mechanically speaking I would take the Dewalt 1/2 inch.

Are use the tool commercially and they hold up I haven’t had no issues definitely worth the money

I've had this impact for a while now and I just purchased another one, these impacts are strong I use one for working on vehicles and the new one I purchased it to be used at work to torque walls, foundation anchor bolts and concrete anchors this tool is strong. Dont over tighten it could easily happen, it also has a great light that has come in hand alot.

this is the best 300$ I have ever spend on a tool it has saved me so much headache I have beat the crap out of this thing for the past 2 years even to the point where I am scared it will blow up in my hand It still blows my mind, today I decided to write a review because I'm changing stock hubs from a 2010 traverse and they did not budge until they felt the wrath of the 2400 IPM! if she ever dies I would buy again in a heartbeat!

This thing took it off in 5 min.cant get much better

Very nice and powerful tool I wanted this tool for the longest time waited for the right moment got it on sale for 215 tax in high impact gun from dewalt dc 899 thank you home depot.

Despite his tools bulkiness and wait, when I’m looking for power for really stubborn fasteners, I reach for this high torque impact.

Not only is it good for car repairs it's also good for my medium duty cabover truck and plumbing. It does the trucks lug nuts and actually well I've never found something it couldn't break loose, or off... You wouldn't think plumbing but actually there's a lot of stuff that could make use of this tool...like replacing anode rods or attaching threaded adapters to go from npt to pex etc.

Compact and powerful, easy to operate, even with small hands. Makes jobs like lug nuts a breeze, and great for clinching down my tractor attachments.

Bought it for working on my suv. Busted loose the 21mm bolt on my lower control arm bolt that has not been touch for 7yrs.

Amazing 700 ft- Pounds of maximum torque compare to my old impact that offered 300 ft- Pounds of maximum torque. Good investment

Hadent used it till 2 weeks ago, Working on a bus paint booth trying to remove three bearings so I could align the pulleys. I tried my 6 foot extendable ratchet had no room to spin it. So I got off the roof and got my DCF899 impact gun. And it laughed at the silly 2" bolts that were locked on pretty good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use all manner of air wrenches from 1/4” up to 1” drives. I don’t even look at them anymore. The 899 will bust of tractor lug nuts effortlessly. Not being tied to the hassle of an air hose make the job less tedious and safe. Can’t say enough good things about this tool. P.S. clamped a new 5/8” bolt in a vice and this beast sheared it.

Out of any impact gun I have ever had, this by far beats any impact. The price isn’t too bad. It does the jobs that I need it to do, which is perfect. I am very satisfied.

The first job I did with it was install a receiver hitch on my truck. I tightened the bolts , and tried tightening them more whith a breaker bar but couldn't budge them.

Ive had air impacts galore and this out performs all of them even on a 1/3 charged battery ive used it on all project cars since owning it and im in love now im switching over to all electric tools and space itll save not having the big compressor is awesome i love it so far so good !!

Most powerful cordless impact wrench I have used for daily use. Better than Snap-On gun for half of the price.

I bought this a couple months ago and the power and battery life was great. Being a mechanic I rely on my tools daily to do my job to get trucks on the road safely. This tool failed me after 4 months. The drive head shattered as I was using it. So as far as power and battery life yeah it's great. But if you expect this tool to last you might want to spend your money else where unless they upgrade the quality of the build on this tool.

Love this tool. I had to rotate tires on my 6 lug chevy suburban and I was done in 15 mins, No lack of power. Great purchase absolutely 10 Stars. Have to whole the dewalt line up XR brushless is the best haven't had any problems.

This impact is a beast. I love it and wish I would have gotten it a long time ago. I tore apart the front end of my off road Jeep and installed a locker, new hub bearings and new axle shafts and the Dewalt impact did it all with ease including removing lug nuts like the were nothing. Highly recommend this Dewalt impact if you are a mechanic or just doing odd jobs around the house or farm.

Got this at an incredible Cyber Monday week price and could not be happier with it. Incredible torque - when did they start making these drill motors so powerful. It easily takes lug nuts off and puts them on, I almost didn't expect it to be able to. But it's smoothly powerful and in my case, prevented me from having to get an air impact wrench and larger air compressor. As I am getting older, taking trailer wheels, OHV wheels and sometimes pickup truck wheels will be so much easier than using the hand cross wrench. I've already used it on some and it's a dream compared to doing it manually. The huge bonus is interchangeable batteries with my other DeWalt tools so I have both backup power and I can also use the 5 AH battery with my drill and vacuum for longer work sessions. And the bag is big enough to hold a lot of stuff besides this drill. A note for use - be sure to use only impact sockets, regular sockets can and will fracture and crack. Wear eye protection when using this - things can and do break and your eyesight is too valuable to risk. This IS the wrench you're looking for - it sure was for me!

I bought this impact a while back and its been extremely useful. The only complain I have on it is that the bottom impact rubber protector (the one below the grip handle) doesn't protect the battery. When the impact is laid down on its side, the top two rubber protectors do help but on the bottom side the battery makes contact with the surface before the rubber protector does. I have noticed that the battery fits loose and that is the cause of it.
