This saw is great. Absolutely amazed at how it performs, and how easy it is to cut straight lines with no guard or anything. It replaced a slightly smaller corded model I've had for 10-12 years, I don't even remember what brand. I thought I'd be sacrificing a bit moving from corded to battery but absolutely not. Even rip cuts were a breeze. This saw is a huge quality of life improvement

Do Not Buy This Saw
Do not buy this saw. My experience is that there is a problem with the bearing housing which allow debris inside. Part way through a first project the saw is non functional. I should add, I have many Dewalt tools and I am happy with them, great battery life. This one...at $500 is a disappointment. I would wait for a design change to rectify this problem.

Didn't hold up
I was excited to finally pick up a cordless worm drive saw. This one worked great at first and it was great not having to move the cord around. After I was done with that job it was in my garage for two years. Grabbed it for another job and it was dead. Hard to believe that it didn't hold up. Save your money and buy something else!

Just Buy It!
If you’re on the fence about buying this saw.. just buy it! I was hesitant myself but I ended up just pulling the trigger. I am very impressed with the power and the feel of this saw. It feels very comparable to your normal worm drive corded saw. Hands down well worth it! The freedom of not having a cord holding you back is amazing.
