Good price! I had some boards to replace on my deck.

Screws worked great for installing treated 2 x 6 stair treads and deck boards.

Used for fence pickets. Within days, I noticed a few boards popping out that had these broken screws…so I replaced them. Over time (few months), there are SEVERAL (a lot) more screws that are broken. 1/2 the screw is still in the board, meaning I will have to drill another hole in the wood. A lot of wasted time in having to redo this! HomeDepot, with several bad reviews with this same problem, you shouldn’t even have these on the shelf!

These screws are junk. I have never seen 4” screws break in half before when a board curled up.

The head of the screw was partially filled with metal so I couldn’t fit the bit into the screw, rendering it useless. Most are good, but I would expect higher quality for a lifetime warranty.

I used these screws to rebuild a seesaw at our neighborhood park. I like that I didn't have to pre drill. I used an impact driver to sink them easily. The screw color also provided a nice contrast to the seesaw's redwood stain. The provided drive bit worked fine.

Quilty has taken a dive. Not impressed with the price of them, for the quality received. Of the different sizes purchased, many screws had defective threads, or no threads, some were even broken in all the packages. These were new sealed packages, so it wasnt customer tampering, just poor quality control.

I use these all the time & have no complaints at all. Sure I get some that are not machined right but overall, I just have less issues with these & like'em!

These nails have rusted on our deck. They are supposed to be rust free! Really ridiculous this product is junk!!!!!!

DO NOT BUY DECKMATE!!! They will break at the slightest movement of wood. Failure rate is alarming!!! Home Depot should know better than to sell such crappy screws!

Quick and easy to use.

These screws are a disappointment to say the least. I built my deck one year ago using the Deckmate 2 1/2” screws. I had to remove a board this year to discover that the screws had already started to rust.

Over half of the screws have rusted and stained the deck boards. Deck is 2 years old! Guaranteed for the lifetime of your project as stated in the product overview and written on the box. Problem is it's up to the store manager to do something about it. Dang, Deck Mate your project life expectancy has really dropped. They did screw something alright!

Works great on my deck. No stripping of the nail head. Really smooth. The colors aren't bad either. My deck has been up one year now working around the pool

I was told by the hardware associate that these screws were the best screws HD sold. 1 year later, I'm checking my deck screws and find that 1 out of 30 screws has snapped in half in the wood. I'm willing to bet the manufacturer won't assist me to get this resolved.

“Improved” version absolutely sucks. It’s horrible, does not pull the two pieces of wood together. The screw just keeps spinning. Bring back the old version, which was perfect!!! If you want to pre-drill every hole, buy it, otherwise look at other brands. I am so disappointed as I bought a lot of them and I used to rave about this screw using it for everything outdoors and indoors. Picture shows “improved” version on left, with different thread pattern that does not create a tight connection anymore.

I purchased these screws when building a handicapped ramp using composite deck boards. On the box at Home Depot, it says “for all exterior material applications.” I assumed they would be fine for composite decking. All of the screws mushroomed and only about 30% of them countersunk. Because of a time constraint, I had to continue to install all 650 screws. Now as I’m looking on line to see if I chose wisely, I see the packaging says for “wood deck” boards. I chose poorly based on the packaging. I have to go back to the job and remove the screws, bore out the mushrooming and replace all the screws. Not to mention needing to buy more screws and throw away $49 worth of screws on a Pro Bono handicapped ramp. Very disappointed.

These are the absolute WORST SCREWS I have ever used. They break post installation, usually at the top of the threads. The deck boards were pre-drilled with a drill guide, and each screw was installed with a DeWalt drill, stopping just short of the surface, then countersunk by hand with a 1/4" ratchet. Fortunately I was only on the third row, when I notice a screw on the first row sticking up slightly. I tried to snug it down, and it just spun. I checked all the other screws on that row, and to my horror, found 13 out of 36 broke. I researched, and found multiple articles going back over 10 YEARS about these screws breaking !! I returned them, and bought S.S. 305 Grip-Rites, which I should have done to start with. Stay very far away from this junk.

I have been buying DeckMate screws for a long time. I bought 5 lbs at a time and use them up over years on projects. I recently bought a 5 lb box of 3" with the new thread design and it strips out easy compared to the old. I recently dug thru my bin to find old ones and with a direct comparison the old ones keep going into the wood where the new ones strip out before the head sinks in. I tried it like with at least 10 different pieces of lumber same results. The box says the new threads are patented, and the bumps in them may help keep them from backing out, but they are not good in my opinion. I included a picture of the old and new for comparison.

High quality and easy to use. Love the tan color, works well with pressure treated lumber.

The screws come with a star head and a star attachment for your power drill. They are coated and are recommended for exterior use on decks. My deck is Fiberon material so I used the screwless brackets instead of screws. My foundation is made up of treated 2x6 joists. I Used these screws to join them together. Better than nails.

I used Deck Mate screws on my raised garden bed and they worked excellent. I would highly recommend them and I will definitely purchase them again.
