Worked great for my project
I decided to purchase these instead of toggle bolts to hang wire shelves. I wanted the shelves to be extra secure to hold weight. These anchors were very easy to use and I like that the screws were included. I did have to touch up the area around the anchors with a bit of paint but not a major deal. The shelves are super secure now. I recommend these anchors.

    Fine tune it first
I've read some of the one star reviews that say the toggle didn't deploy when the screw was inserted. This is definitely possible, and to insure my toggles would work properly, I straightened out the edge of the toggle closest to the tip that is slightly spread to keep the toggle inside the body, so it would stay in the body but also easily flip out when the screw was inserted by hand. The new anchor fit the old plastic anchor hole pretty closely and screwed in and deployed easily.

Strong enough to get the job done.
So far so good. The product surpassed my expectations. I was a bit hesitant because of what the weight rating was for a drywall anchor. These anchors were used to anchor a wall speaker metal bracket which weighed approximately about 5 lbs each one or so and the speakers which weighed over 20lbs each. I’m not gonna lie I was a bit hesitant to put the speaker on the bracket out of fear but let me tell you… it is securely attached and going nowhere.

Excellent anchors for non-studded areas. Easy to insert & secure, clamp inside drywall opening. Sturdy hardware with a wider screw head for larger openings without needing a washer in most applications.

I used this to install a wooden shelf in our guest bathroom. The anchor was easy to install and I have total confidence that it hold the load advertised.

        Awful in every aspect
It’s incredible how terrible these anchors really are. First off, the hole they self drill isn’t clean and after the coarse threads screw in and the head is flush it still wobbles. No, I didn’t overtighten them. From there, you screw in the long, flimsy machine screw. 9/10 it jams against the toggle preventing it from rotating into place. So you take it out, try and fix it or try a new one. If it DOES work properly and catch the screw hole, even a few extra inch pounds of force destroys it.JUNK

          Great for mounting TVs
I used these to mount two TVs - an 85" and a 55" to drywall. The TVs are very sturdy and secure and aren't going anywhere. I did use a 5/16th drill bit to make a pilot hole and the toggle went in with ease. Honestly, these are some of the best toggle bolts I've used. They're all metal and very heavy duty. I just reordered my second pack.

            Buyer Beware
As with many other reviewers, all 4 of these anchors that came with my floating wall shelf completely failed. The toggle wouldn’t engage and the effort to push the screw to engage it resulted in 3 of them now being in my wall cavity. Get a standard toggle. This is not only unreliable, but also super damaging to drywall in the long run.

Worked perfectly for holding shelves. Think other peoples issue was not tightening on them long enough to get the anchor pulled tight. Simply used a drill/driver to run them up and then hand tighten

My wife wanted to mount some shelving (36"X14"X1") and of course it was impossible to get the brackets to line up on studs and look right so I checked into some drywall anchors. These worked perfect, they pulled the brackets up night and tight to the wall. If I had to guess, a few of the shelves are holding close to 100lbs of knickknacks. The anchors held the shelf nice and secure.

                Keep screwing!
I'm using these to hang heavy drapes. Installation was quick and easy - press to wall, turn with screwdriver until the toggle slips through the wall, align bracket, insert long screw, and SCREW, SCREW, SCREW! I used an electric drill to screw the first 2/3 of the way SLOWLY, then finished off screwing by hand. It may seem as if the screw is freewheeling, but it is a LONG screw and will take some time for the anchor to catch and activate behind the wall. I am hanging four 10 foot black-out drapes (about 5 pounds each) using an 1" electrical conduit as the curtain rod. 4 stars for ease of use of the toggles - will update this review up or down in a few days if the drapes hold up without damaging the wall under the weight of the assembly.

Used 8 of these to mount a 95 x 55 inch TV wall panel. All of them worked and none of them broke. I have used this for many other things including Big TV mounts and wall hooks that heavy backpacks are regularly hung from. All of them have worked and none of them have broken. I use a drill to screw them into the drywall and tighten the screw. All of them have worked and none of them have broken. I'm guessing that most of the bad reviews would fall under "user error" Sometimes you have to pull the screw out and put it back in to get it to work and after the screw is flush you have to keep tightening it until it is seated against the back of the wall. Definitely worth buying.

DO NOT BUY IF LATH AND PLASTER. I tried these and had two problems immediately. I pre-drilled through the plaster and the lath successfully using a 5/8 drill. The bolt inserted firmly but when I tried to seat it using the #2 phillips head, the final thread on the head end gouged out the plaster and brown coat. Well, I wasn't too concerned, because in my application the holes would be hidden under an escutcheon. Then came the time to screw in the center-screws and pivot out the toggle, and of the three I needed, only one seated itself properly. As I am screwing into a ceiling, that means I now have to go up into the crawl space and figure out why this new fangled contraption isn't toggling properly. I'm glad this wasn't into a wall, or I'd never be able to see what went wrong on the other side.

I needed a wall anchor to support a cabinet suspension steel rail. The rail was pre-perferated to accommodate the manufacture's fastening adjustment system, which required 12-inch spacing between attachment points, and my application required that the rail be mounted with it's top edge 0.9 inch from the ceiling. I needed a reasonably heavy duty anchor between studs that, when installed, would not interfere with the top plate of the wall's framing. My first choice would have been something different, but the wall framing clearance issue made this anchor the only practical choice. By rotating the EZ Anchor so that it's toggle bar was parallel to the ceiling, my clearance problem was solved. The negative reviews here were discouraging, but the positive reviews made it clear that if you understand how this anchor works, and work carefully, the result will be satisfying. The tips I can offer are similar to those in other reviews: 1) read the instructions and look at the video if things aren't clear; 2) exercise the fastener before installation so you understand how it works; 3) spray a small amount or WD-40 on the anchor and screw before installing and wipe off excess; 4) drill a small pilot hole (1/8 - inch or so); 5) drive the anchor in to the wall slowly and carefully as to not make the hole larger than it needs to be, don't over-tighten; 6) use a flat washer under the screw head if possible; 7) gently tap in the screw to pivot the toggle bar and turn slowly, no power drivers, and; 8) don't over-tighten the final installation - clamped friction is what makes the anchor work, not torque.

                        Mixed quality
I had no problem using these toggle locks in two of the four locations I attempted. But on the third, the lock mechanism wouldn't work, so the screw kept spinning in place and I had to remove the toggle lock (which had not opened) and replace. The replacement worked. In the fourth location, however, the screw never really got a tight fit in the anchor, so the anchor is stuck in the wall and the screw slips around in it. I can't remove the anchor because the mechanism is sprung. You can see what I mean in the attached photo. Fifty-fifty is not the greatest of odds, so I'd use this product with caution.

Horrific! Do not buy this product!
As with the other reviews I had 100% of the anchors fail when trying to use them. This product claims to support 100 Lbs the design is so poor that if you're able to get it in the wall the odds are that the product has failed and would compromise what you're hanging. I would encourage Home Depot to discontinue working with this supplier.

Had a great experience! Manager Santi was able to assist me with my project needs. My hands were full because I had my baby in arms in order to push the cart with the other instead of pushing stroller and a cart. Santi was able to help me load heavy items and find products needed and also granted me a discount on an item that was misplaced and helped me saved more money on selling me opened bags of mulch needed for my project. This is the kind of service I remember growing up, glad it hasn't changed! :)
