Great saw!!
I bought this saw to clean up around the property we recently purchased. I’ve always been a Stihl guy, but the local tractor dealer here sells Echo brand equipment. I decided to give the CS-590 Timber wolf a try. I’ve gotta say, it’s a beast. Absolutely love the way it handles and the lower is great. Easy to start, runs strong and idles great.

I needed to fell a 60" Circumference tree 5' from my porch. My CS-590 with 24" bar did it in three quick slices

    Very pleased so far
I have cut some large hardwoods (40"+) with this saw in the short time I've had it. It has performed very well and dependably. It is light for it's size and power. It is a no frills unit. Only issues have been a cracked kick-back guard and twisted tension screw.

I have a large hickory tree down on our property, large enough I cannot wrap my arms around it. This chainsaw ripped right through it. I can't wait to tackle the fallen oak tress as well.

It starts very well by following the instructions. Very responsive throttle. Next day starts even faster. Great build quality.

This saw is the real deal! Baddest in it's class!
Great saw with tons of power! I picked this up after some research and reading reviews. From what I have read and actually seen first hand. It by far, is best in its class compared to the Boss or Rancher. Alot of commercial features also helped me with my decision. Like the magnesium case instead of plastic. This saw is heavy and will definitely wear you out if your working with it for awhile. Better keep a smaller saw for limbing and this bad boy for the big stuff. Haven't had any issues with starting like some of the other reviews. If you have used 2 stroke equipment before, its a no brainer. I have been using the pre-mix gas/oil from Echo. Its expensive, but worth it. Don't even fool with the decompression button as its basically a joke. Other than that, the saw rips. I have already done a muffler mod and it cuts through thick wood in seconds. Definitely recommended this saw for anyone with larger trees or big jobs around the farm/house.

A lot of saw for your money
This saw is an exceptional value. Performance and build quality are far beyond it's price point. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

        Powerful.
Bought a month ago. Running good. Did have a issue with starting one time. Watched a utube video to figure it out. Turned out had to take spark plug out hit with air hose as well as piston, take a straw dip it in 50:1 mix put 1 drop in piston, put spark plug back then restart. Started great! Decompression button is a joke really. DONT USE IT!!! I mean it! It can mess your chainsaw starting procedure up! and this is a common thing with the Timberwolf. Just so you know the cs-590 is a really great chainsaw. Like anything mechanical you will have issues now and then. The Timberwolf CS 590 echo is much better than the competitor.

        Another good echo product
I took down quite a few trees to decide whether or not I actually want to use it milling slabs out. It does it and it does it reliably. I did end up putting a 28in. Bar with a skip tooth considering it is only 60ish cc's. It seems to do well with a longer bar so for the price and not having to spend over a grand on a decent saw, echo made this pretty achievable.

            Love my CS590
The CS590 I bought was well worth the money i spent. I am clearing a lot of timber off my land. I have never ever seen a saw perform the way the CS590 does. I have a few trees it’s about 27 inches round and the CS590 cut right threw them in 45 seconds no lie. I have video but couldn’t loaded it

            Excellent Chainsaw
We purchased an Echo Timberwolf a few months ago and have been extremely pleased with it. Use it for either sawmilling or bucking firewood. Easiest starting saw we have owned and has great power. We have videos on our North of 48 outdoors YouTube channel.

Hard to get running out of the box but once it runs, it's a beast.
It took me a bit of time and some swearing to get this saw running out of the box. Once I got it running, nothing could stop it. I ran it for about two hours and put it away until today. It fired right up with the suggested start up procedure and I was able to do another few hours of work with it. This saw is meant to work.

Works great! I added an aftermarket aluminum base plate and an additional Echo bucking spike, and it has had no problems cutting through 30" fir trees. After doing some research online, I decided to just bite the bullet and buy the Echo 50:1 premix fuel to run the saw. It costs five times what it would if you just mixed it yourself, but from what I've read, the additives in it will help over time to keep your saw running strong.

Another big tree gets taken care of!
So, unlike many who have bought the Timber Wolf CS-590 I have had zero issues starting it up for the first time.. Just followed the easy to read and understand quick start guide... After pulling gently on the 4th pull it spluttered in to life. No excessive smoke also that folks have mentioned? In my case Zero Smoke at all. It's easy to handle for the best part, I had gone from an old Echo 14" bar that had served me well, but needed something with a bit more Grunt and cutting capacity... I will say it's pretty heavy, but nut un manageable.. Did a full tank of fuel this first go around, and I have more cutting to do tomorrow. I chose for the first run to buy premixed fuel by TruFuel... Worked at charm!

FILL HER UP AND LET HER EAT!!!
I have had this saw for 5 years now and love it!! Everything I’ve threw at this saw it has chewed through including rocks. I’m currently clearing a 20 acre fence line with nasty Honey locust trees. We buck up the larger locust and use them for firewood. Overall I love the ergonomics of this saw, just feels good in my hands while cutting. I have used most other brands of saws and this is my favorite as far as overall use. The CS-590 can handle anything on the farm. I read some reviewers have problems starting (might need carb adjustment); my starting procedure is as follows: pull choke, pull start 2 or 3 times till I hear the saw hit (combustion in chamber), turn choke off (push in), pull start and saw will fire up. Normally I do not use the decompression button, always use ethanol free fuel and drain the fuel from saw whenever it will be setting for a while. I have only changed the filters and plug once in the 5 years of owning the saw. I do throughly clean the saw after use. I broke the tensioner last year, ordered a replacement online, and it was an easy fix. I would definitely recommend this saw!

                      Power to Cut
I bought this as an upgrade to my chainsaw selection. I will not comment on the blade as they come and go. Huge fuel and oil tanks. Starts easily with GOOD fuel. Engine performs well, plenty of power to drive the chain. Chain tensioning system is basic and requires the tool. The bumper spikes could be a little longer to dig in better as they tend to cut into the bark and slip. Chain brake holds the chain as it should. This is a heavy saw for all day work, but it is strong and gets the job done. With a fresh blade it chews through oaks all day long.

Professional quality at a reasonable price
Had this saw for a week now and so far loving it. Needed a saw to cut some trunks into rounds to split into firewood and my PoulanPro was out of service with parts on order. Wanted 20” or bigger and Home Depot had this in stock. 59cc engine is a huge improvement over the 50cc I had before and this thing has power to rip through your cuts like butter. It was $150 cheaper then the comparable Stihl (57cc) model and the echo actually has a bigger engine. Just like any saw the chain dulls faster or slower depending on what your cutting. After about 15-20 cuts ranging from 18”-24” round started dulling a little but that is why you should have chain files in your tool kit. Only thing I don’t like is the hard case on these are sold separately just like most other high end saws. Super easy to start and it does have a decompression valve for starting so if that’s new for you look at the quick start tag. Overall for the average homeowner with proper care and storage this thing should last a life time.

Rips through giant logs like butter
I had some huge logs to rip though as some buddies dropped them for my maple syrup sap boiling operation. Normally I get smaller trees so this was a good excuse to upgrade from my Echo CS352. I am so happy I did. This saw doesn’t bog. I’m amazed.

                          It's a beast!
I purchased the CS-590 chainsaw on the recommendation of my local dealer and I am glad I did. I needed a good saw for some heavy duty storm damage clean up around my yard. The CS-590 made easy work of the project, cutting up some very large trees that had fallen on the property during a tornado. It's a beast and I would put it up against Stihl any day. Easy to start, powerful and easy to maintain. I highly recommend.
