I purchased two of these hand rail kits along with one adjustable elbow, to connect the two handrails, and two extra brackets. I installed this handrail on my fathers house, four steps up to the a four foot landing. I know he will be putting all his weight on it so that is why I got the extra two brackets. Hardware includes a 5/16" x 2-1/2" stainless steel lag bolt, a black plastic cap to cover the lag bolt heads and two screws and a drill bit to connect the handrail to the bracket. The extra brackets I ordered came with their own hardware. The only thing I had to buy was longer stainless steel lag bolts. I made sure to attach the railing to studs. I was able to cut the aluminum hand rail on the chop saw with the wood blade. Just go slow....

I chose this handrail because of the adjustability of the rail itself. After attaching the bracket to the concrete, you can slide the rail up or down on the brackets . As you can see from my photograph, I needed more at the upper end. After you get it set, you drill holes in the bottom of the rail, that attaches to the brackets. Also, you can carefully saw off some of the rail, if it is too long. Then you carefully swedge on the end cap. Quality materials.

This new aluminum hand rail is a great new safe addition to my stairway. It has a very smooth and sleek look. It was fairly easy to install. I did it by myself in less than an hour. After gathering up the hex bit drivers and a wood drill bit- not included and a metal bit- included, I located the studs and installed the wall brackets. I needed to add small blocks of wood under the brackets because the upper part of the wall protruded. Then I drilled the holes on the underside of the rail and screwed it on to the brackets. The finishing touches were the end caps and the bolt head caps and it was done. It is a very sturdy rail and a nice color.

The workmanship of this handrail is outstanding and the quality is unmatched. I installed in my multi level house. One of the my lag bolts was placed in a wall stud and the other into a concrete block wall anchor. Both are holding firmly. Instructions are simple to follow. I purchased the first one and after experiencing the ease of installation, I plan on getting two more handrails.

The EZ Handrail Silver Vein Aluminum Round Hand Rail Kit is an easy way to install railing that looks good. My problem is an inclined driveway that needed a small length of railing as I come out the door in the Wintry months. I've slipped and decided this year to fix that problem. The rail had to be short, two and a half feet long, so I chose the 4 ft length kit and cut it down by following the instructions provided. It says their railings can be shortened and recommended using a chop saw with a blade for wood to prevent overheating causing distortion in the pipe. This is important because the end caps have to go into the rail ends. I played safe and went with my general purpose blade and watered down the railing to keep it from heating up. It worked just fine and got the exact length needed. The railing is aluminum, a soft metal, took my time produced a clean sharp cut with no noticeable wear on the blade. Those that need to cut this aluminum rail shouldn't be concerned. The actual installation is simple and straight forward. To install the rail I drilled two holes in my red brick masonry wall and then loosely attach the mounts. I inserted special Tapcon 5/16 inch diameter three inch long lag bolts recommended by Home Depot. Then tapped in the cap ends for the railing with a maillot after cutting to length. The mount is attached to the rail by drilling small mount holes, two per mount with the bit provided. Attach the mount to the rail with the provided screws adjusting for the pitch or angle of the railing and tightened everything up. The railing really looks, I think, better than my neighbors which are more expensive wrought iron ones. I had earlier installed a longer 6 foot rail and this one is the finishing piece to complete the project. The silver vein aluminum round hand rail has a powder finish which looks like it will last and age gracefully. It has a crinkly patterned look that is very appealing. I've already gotten compliments from my neighbors.

Replacing old traditional hand rail on stairs. This unit can be installed horizontal or on an angle. Comes with everything needed including the drill bit to made needed holes in the rail. This allows for a custom fit in any area. Metal is thick and smooth on the hand. With the weight of this railing it is essential to secure brackets into the studs. Caution .. check local building code to ensure rail is installed at the required height. Classy addition with enhanced safety.

A nice kit. this railing has all the necessary hardware to install it wherever it could come in handy.. Could also be used in a bathroom for a decorative handicap railing. It took me about an hour to install due to the location I chose. and i had to improvise a little but that was not the fault of the railing. I installed a post for the top end and used an anchor for the bottom. Its a solid well made railing with a beautiful finish. Well worth the cost for the quality received....

This product was shipped fast, exactly what I needed as an outside rail. Very durable and has a nice polished look to it. Came with the hardware, drilled the holes in the foundation and mounted with 1/2 hour. No issues.

EZ Handrail 6 ft. Silver Vein Aluminum Round Hand Rail Kit is really straight forward to mount. In my case I have an inclining driveway and needed to add a railing for walking down it during icy weather. The railing is attached to a brick planter wall. The kit included everything to install the railing which contains a light weight yet sturdy aluminum pole about two inches in diameter. It comes with cap ends for the pole, mounting brackets, all hardware and a drill bit. The finish is an interesting pattern called Vein which has speckles of aluminum in nooks and black on the top all over including mounts and end caps. The pipe railing is a bigger diameter than I expected which is fine and should make it easy to hold and adds a design element to the wall. Since I was installing it in masonry Home Depot recommend using a pair of 5/16 inch diameter three inch long Tapcon lag bolts. This was good because when drilling the holes hit void spaces in the brick and the longer length extended to the far side of the inside brick facing. Once the mounts went up the kit comes with small screws that go into the railing from under the mount. Just before attaching the rail to the wall tapped in the end caps with a maillot. Finally, they also provide plastic caps for the larger mounting hex screw heads. That's about it, not difficult at all. I should mention the steps in setting the railing screws. I positioned the railing on the mounts and just drilled a hole near the first mount hole, put a screw in a couple of turns went to the other mount and now that I had a fixed point set put in another screw. Then tightened down both screws adjusting both mounts for pitch, drilled and put in the last two screws. I recommend spending some time measuring distances and the height that is best for your location. My installation had a low part in the wall coming up to the street level so this took more thought They do provide instructions with recommended measurements that was helpful. In the end looks good, feels solid and should make this a safer upcoming Winter.

I love the handrail. I thought I would have to have an appropriate one built but the one I bought from Home Depot is exactly what I wanted. It was easy to install and it looks really good.

This handrail is an excellent product. Several years ago I ordered the identical handrail from the same company. I liked it so much I ordered two more. On the new handrails, the construction and supports are identical, but the finish on the new items is not as textured as the old one. It's shinier and not as "grippy". Still fine, but I liked the old one better.
