Easy to install with plumbers tape. No leaks.

The spigot sealed well in our DYI rain barrel and the valve action is smooth and quici, especially compared to the gate valve we previously used.

Much better quality than the spigot included with the barrel, installs easily but wear heavy gloves- the threads are sharp. This one hasn’t been put to use yet but is the second I’ve ordered. No problems with the first, good water flow as well.

I don't think that the customers who gave this a 5-star rating realize that although it is a 3/4inch Ballcock/ Hose Bibb what Ken wrote and give a 2-start rating here is critical to have a high-water flow. I was going to address this but he beat me to it, so I just copied his. Verified Purchase "THE SPIGOT WAS DESCRIBED AS HAVING 3/4 INCH NPT INLET AND 3/4 INCH HOSE THREAD, BUT FAILED TO MENTION THAT THE INTERNAL ORIFICE WAS LESS THAN 1/2 INCH DIAMETER, HENCE LESS THAN 1/3'RD THE DESIRED FLOW CAPABILITY. RETURNED." I too will be returning this and will be purchasing another ball cock spigot with full 3/4-inch opening.

Perfect replacement for plastic rain barrel spigots that keep breaking after about a year of use.

A nice, sturdy spigot, and arrived in good condition. Would have liked some directions on which way the handle turned off/on. This is a rain barrel afterall, so I had to wait until it filled to realize thr direction of the off position!

High quality. Quick easy install. This works much better than the original plastic ones that would stick closed at times.

Best I could find that has higher flow then the traditional multi turn brass spigot that 99% of the rain barrels come with. It's 3-4 times higher flow. . It's price considering 1/2 in store is like $7 but they get you for the specialized part (3/4 quarter turn is hard to find)

This is a well made product intended to replace the plastic part that comes stock with the rain-barrel kits. Works well and is the correct size for the OEM holes in the barrels. Other brass spigots i ordered, not so much!

Bought two brass spigots for a rain barrel. One was fine, the other arrived with a loose handle. The lock nut holding it on was defective and couldn't be tightened. It was obvious there was a problem as soon as I took it out of the box. It's disappointing it was allowed out of the factory and/or warehouse in this condition. It seemed like too much trouble to return it, so I bought a new lock nut and repaired it myself. The spigots themselves are superior to the plastic spigot that came with the rain barrel, because they provide a much fuller, faster flow and, with luck, will be more durable.

Spigot did not come supplied with a rubber washer or lock nut, requiring an additional trip to the hardware store. Also, the lock nut above the red handle kept falling off because the set screw was too short for this style of handle. Had to use super glue to keep it in place.

Nice quality spigot with a high flow rate. Exactly what I needed.

Fit very well in the threaded opening and operates smoothly. Should last much longer than the plastic original spigot.

Great improvement to our rain barrels, and well worth the money. Makes drawing rain water a pleasure, even for aging arthritic hands.

This brass spigot arrived in good order as advertised. I bought this to replace a cheap "brass" spigot on a rain barrel I also bought at Home Depot 1 year ago. The spigot was a regular "turn the knob" type which was actually made of weak pot-metal and broken off easily. I then unwisely bought a water heater ball-valve spigot as a replacement, but the water flow is far too low to be useful in a rain barrel. After returning it I purchased this brass ball-valve spigot, and its excellent for the rain barrel task -- easy to open and close, full-blast water flow to fill the watering can. I'd recommend using teflon tape to screw it into a polyethylene rain barrel. Overall, very solid product, reasonable price.

This product works very well. It is easy to work with . It is strong and well made. Also it is easy to install. It is very good to be used for rain barrel.

We bought this to replace a leaky plastic spigot on our rainbarrel which we've had for quite some time. The problem is that the spigot is labeled as 3/4", but that's not actually the size - it was too big. We had to get a connector that would connect to the part of the spigot that is supposed to go in the rain barrel but was smaller on the other end to actually fit in the rain barrel. We had to look at a plumbing website to figure out the sizes - apparently in the plumbing world, sizes are not for what you might think they are. Anyway, once we got that piece and a washer for each side, it finally worked. No, more leaks, the flow is good, and the handle is sturdy.

Easy to install and works better than the plastic spigot that came with the barrel. It would have been a perfect replacement if an O-ring had been included to seal the spigot to the barrel opening. Substituting a little bit of Plumbers putty, I happened to have on hand, made the connection leak proof.

I bought this to replace a cheap plastic spigot that was part of a rain barrel. The original one broke off within a year of purchase. Do yourself a favor and replace it before it breaks. Well worth the upgrade! This one fits and works great.

purchased to replace my rain barrel spigot. Its been on for a few weeks and I'm happy with the results so far. Wish the cost was less but since its brass it should last pretty long. liked the ship to store feature too
