Elkay sink strainer. Beware of poor quality control on tolerances. Strainer body shank nut threads jump when tightening so you cannot get enough torque to squeeze out the putty. I bought and tried a new nut and it did the same, so the problem must be with the male thread major OD being too small. One strainer was okay, one had this fault. The replacement strainer also had to be returned as there was very visible ‘stretch’ marks on the bowl. You can also feel these grooves. That second replacement had similar, but not quite as bad visible lines. This may be the new standard, but really not good. The strainer/plug themselves are also a bit rough. They should have buffed out the machining marks an deburred the slots more. They’re running at 67% failure rate. Not too impressive. Home Depot has great customer service but their vendors quality control needs improvement. It’s still a hassle dealing with returns and waiting on replacements.

This Elkay stainless steel drain fitting was perfect for my new sink. My wife likes the way it looks compared to the original one. It was very easy to install and it doesn't leak.

They are beautiful and finish off the sink nicely. They are very good quality and polish up very easily I highly recommend them for your Elkay sink.

I really liked the look of the strainer for this drain but was disappointed in that the only time you can use it is when plugging the drain. I was under the impression it would work as a strainer and it does not.

I got this drain to match the Elkay sink I purchased at the same time thinking that was the right thing to do. My plumber refused to install the drain because of the way it is designed. He said that I would have a leaking drain before long. I tried to return it to the Home Depot but because I purchased it online, the return policy is different and the store refused to give me a refund or even a store credit. I wouldn't offer the drain to anyone else knowing it will cause them problems so I threw it out. Very disappointed with the product and with the Home Depot. I think they should have given me a store credit considering the hundreds of dollars I spent there on my kitchen renovation.

I like this drain because it is serviceable yet attractive.

The strainer came in a very timely manner. It is very good quality. Very easy to install. The only down side it was a little pricey.

I have used Elkay products in the past and will continue to do so in the future.
