[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had a great experience with the energizer LED folding lantern with Light Fusion Technology. as a result of the harsh winter storms in my area, I experienced a blackout. The energizer LED folding lantern with light fusion technology can in handy that night. I like the fact that it is lightweight and provides enough light output for the room. It's portable and I would definitely use this on my next camping or hiking trip. I would highly recommend having one in the car for emergencies.

Featuring 400 Lumens on high mode and up to 100 hours of run time. Also water resistant so you if you get a flat tire in the rain, this is a great item to have as it has a stand as well so no need to hold it! This product is really great for anything like hunting, fishing, working out in the garage, in your car for emergencies, etc. The only thing it could use is maybe a clip so you could clip it on your pants. Uses 8 AA batteries but only came with 4 which I thought was kind of odd. I would definitely recommend this product to friends and family. I received this complimentary from Home Tester Club in exchange for my honest review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This week I had the opportunity to try a folding lantern by Energizer, and I really enjoyed its unique form factor. I use lantern products primarily for electrical outages in the home. This week we had a huge snowstorm up north. Let's talk form factor. When you see this lantern, you will realize it is not a traditional lantern in any sense. To start, the lantern has a soft handle on the top for easy holding. The light of the lantern actually flows from the front of the device. It also has a sturdy foldable stand on the back. The front section is also foldable, and you can raise the light up, making it perfect for reading or playing a game in the dark. Upon receiving the light, you have to hold the power button for about ten seconds to get it out of tryme mode. It doesn't come with an instruction manual, so it can be a little confusing, but the directions can be found on the back of the box. Overall I give this product a 10/10! Loving the unique form factor.

Would be awesome if it actually stayed lit. It's nice that it's easily portable and adjustable, but useless since it doesn't work properly.

Energizer LED Fusion Folding Lantern Power On and Dimming issues - Test Note: this test was performed using a variable power supply connected on the top row ofthe 4-battery compartment unit as if using only 4 batteries. The test was performed by lowering and increasing the voltage slowly to determine when the Lantern and its dimming feature will no longer work. Power OFF to On Transition Test #1 - Max. brightness at power on test (power button press and release) Conclusion - Based on my test results, if the voltage drops below 3.9 VDC, the Lantern will not go on, which means that on a 4 battery pack, if each cell drops below 0.975 VDC, the Lantern will not go on. Test #2 - Dimmed brightness at power on test (power button press and hold to min. brightness) Conclusion - Based on my test results, if the voltage drops below 4.5 VDC, the Lantern will go on, but if you press and hold the power button to dim the LED's, the Lamp will go off. This means that on a 4 battery pack, if each cell drops below 1.125 VDC, the Lantern will not be able to sustain the Dimmable feature. During Power On Transition Test #3 - While the Lantern is operating at max. brightness setting (highest output light), the voltage is lowered until it turns Off. Conclusion #1 - Based on my test results, if the voltage drops below 3.85 VDC, the Lantern will go Off. This means that on a 4 battery pack, if each cell drops below 0.9625 VDC, the Lantern will not be able to stay On. Test #4 - While the Lantern is operating at min. brightness setting (lowest output light), the voltage is lowered until it turns Off. Conclusion #2 - Based on my test results, if the voltage drops below 3.15 VDC, the Lantern will go Off. This means that on a 4 battery pack, if each cell drops below 0.7875 VDC, the Lantern will not be able to sustain the Dimmable feature. Power Consumption - Max. and Min. Brightness Test #5 - Full Brightness - At 6 VDC, the current drain is at 640 mA initially, then it: - Drops to 626 mA ofter one minute; - Drops to 622 mA after two minutes - Drops to 620 mA after three minutes - Drops to 618 mA after four minutes - Drops to 616 mA after five minutes - Drops to 615 mA after six minutes - Drops to 613 mA after seven minutes - Drops to 612 mA after eight minutes - Stays at 612 mA after nine minutes - Drops to 611 mA after ten minutes - Stays at 612 mA after nine minutes - Drops to 610 mA after eleven minutes - Stays at 610 mA after twelve minutes - Drops to 609 mA after thirteen minutes - Stays at 609 mA after fourteen minutes - Drops to 579 mA after fifteen minutes - Stays at 579 mA after sixteen minutes - Stays at 579 mA after seventeen minutes - Stays at 579 mA after eighteen minutes - Stays at 579 mA after nineteen minutes - Drops to 547 mA after twenty minutes - Stays at 547 mA after twenty five minutes - Drops to 514 mA after twenty six minutes - Drops to 482 mA after thirty minutes Conclusion #3 - Based on my test results, the current drain starts out very high and it slowly drops. therer are some points where it make a sudden drop in current drain. Test #6 - Full Dimmness - At 6 VDC, the current drain is at 32 mA and stays between 32 and 31 mA for the next thirty minutes. Conclusion #4 - Based on my test results, The difference in running the Lantern a full brightness and at at full dimmmness make a very big diffrence in the current drain. Also, when fully dimmed, the current drain is very stable. Final Conclusion: This Lantern tends to draw lots of current (from 640 mA to 482 mA after 30 min.) at maximum intensity which will cause the battery to drain fast. Also the fact that it turns off when the batteries are at 0.9625 VDC (almost at 1 VDC), it does not give you much time. Two things; The circuit should have been designed to draw less power if possible, and they should have designed it with a lower voltage cutoff threshold so that it could go at a lower voltage before shutting off.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this Energizer LED folding lantern. It is lightweight, handy and really easy to use. It is bright enough for my needs, you can use the light fusion technology which lets you dim the light. I wish the battery was rechargeable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried many different lanterns this year, and I love this one for use as a directional reading light. It is very simple to direct the light wherever you want. That said... the instructions on the packaging are not clear or detailed enough. It tells you how to turn off the test function. It does NOT tell you ANYWHERE how to adjust the light intensity. There are 10 different settings that are impossible to find without a lot of experimentation. You need to continually hold down the power button until the light reaches the level of desired brightness. That, and the fact the lantern ate through the included set of batteries before I even got the pictures made. It literally shut itself off while I was setting up my shot, and won't turn back on. And it is HOT to the touch. I would not re-purchase this product. Which saddens me. I really wanted to like this one.

It is compact enough to fit in a backpack & toolbox. We use it to light in the dark & in tight spots on our RV underneath. It lays flat, is easy to pack & store, & bright enough enough to see nooks & crannies when fixing tiny wires & valves. It's been a great addition to our RV.

It is great for space like my small closet and my dark storage room. Another amazing thing is, it provides 360 degree room filling light through light diffuser panel. Plus point, it is water resistant and I can use it while working outside around my house. It come with collapsable stand so it is super easy to use and no need to hold at all. It is so cool that, this light come with 4 AA batteries. So far so good. I am happy with this light. I would definitely recommend this product to everyone who is looking forward to buy new lantern.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really handy, compact, and lightweight lantern. I love the ability to position the light as well as the dimmable settings. Angry awesome feature is the fact that is could run on either 4 AA or 8 AAA batteries. I used the lantern while I was working on some craft projects. The very bright light and ability to position it over my work really gave me superb lighting. Being battery operated though, I don't think it's necessarily purposed for use like that, as the batteries died after about an hour. So you'd definitely need to make sure to have extra batteries if planning on using for longer periods of time. I did however have the lantern on the brightest light setting the entire time, which wouldn't be necessary in most settings. Overall, I think this is a really great lantern that is designed well and great to keep packed away in a backpack, camping, for emergencies, or any other instance in which you may need a battery operated light source.

I love the size, not too big so it doesn't take up a lot of space, but for its size puts out very bright light! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is thing surprised me in a good way! It's compact and light yet powerful. It has a nice grippy handle and the light source is very versatile. You can angle it and the stand it comes with makes it very handy when you are working by yourself. This makes a flashlight and a regular lantern look old fashioned. I like that you can use it with the full 8 batteries or just 4. Also, it is dimmable which makes it hand when camping or any situation you don't want a blinding light at times and you just want to extend the battery life.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This light is very bright and is nice because you can just have it shining in one direction or flip the light up and have it shine in multiple directions. Also the kickstand and gripped carrying handle are very nice features as well. It says that you can either use 4 or 8 batteries and it came with 4. It said if you use 8 batteries that it should have more power (be brighter) but I didn't notice a difference. Also the light is dimmable, which is nice, but to dim it you have to hold down the power button which is a little weird. It would have been more convenient to have a separate dimming switch. Overall it is a very nice and durable light though.
