We needed high performance lighting in our garage for work on autos and cabinetry. This LED panel really delivered it. Its17k lumen rating is serious, casting a well dispersed powerful white light that makes for perfect work area lighting. Previously, we used portable work lights to add the needed additional ambient light, which created shadows. This light is vastly superior. The unit is well engineered and comes equally well equipped. It has two LED power supplies included in the wiring enclosure, wired in parallel, to drive the LED arrays. The unit's design allows the unit to be wired while it is hanging, which is very convenient. There's plenty of space in the enclosure too, making daisy chaining easy. The LED arrays can be dimmed, using a 0-10V dimmer, which is common in commercial applications, but not as familiar to many home DIYers. A single 0-10V dimmer controls both power supplies at once. The instructions indicate that an additional wire should be run for the dimmer and plenty of knockouts are available to do so. The dimmer control lines can also be daisy chained. Code does allow the dimmer lights to be included in the same armored sheathing or conduit as the supply lines, as long as it has a voltage rating at least as high as the highest voltage wire in the same sheathing or conduit. In addition to dimmers, the 0-10V design also allows you to add occupancy presence detectors to switch the unit on and off when people enter/exit the area. The unit comes with a pair of 40" chains as well (see picture), a pleasant surprise. The chains connect to simple hooks which attach to the ends (see picture). This design is what enables the unit to be wired after it's mounted. As far as performance goes, a measurement 2 feet below the unit showed it still 10.9k lux (lumens/sq meter). At 1 foot, it was well over 18k lux. All in all, we are super pleased and impressed with the performance of this light. I now wish I'd have had lighting this good years ago. I highly recommend this product.

I wanted to replace my old florescent light fixtures in my garage. I had two double bulb fixtures. When I opened this up, I thought it might not be big enough. Boy was I wrong. This light is so much brighter than the two fixtures I replaced. It is supposed to be hard wired in which I didn't read when I ordered it. I put a plug on the end cause I needed to plug it into an outlet. Works great.

The lights are well made. I like that they came with chains so you can hang them on ceilings that are not level. The lights are hanging about 16' from the floor and they are really bright. Since they were only 2'x2', I wasn't sure if that would be enough. My building is about 35' wide and they do an excellent job of lighting it up. I would recommend them. I was able to get them on sale, which is why I bought them. Probably wouldn't have gotten them at the regular price.

This light is as bright as the noon-day sun. LED technology is really amazing - only 160 watts. The color spectrum would make it an awesome grow-light for plants. I installed it over my workbench, replacing a light that I was always very satisfied with, but pales in comparison with this. This light is also dimmable if you install it on a dimmer. It is clearly a commercial design, but that doesn't mean you can't install it yourself. This light requires some work to install - it doesn't just plug in, and it has no switch, or even a cord, just three pigtail wires hanging out of a hole in the top cover. First I removed the cover and installed a three-wire cord with a screw-clamp connector. Then I bored-out a hole in the side of the case, and installed an inexpensive pull-chain switch. All the connections are made with the supplied wire-nuts, plus one more for the switch, and everything easily stuffed back inside. You can see my installation in the attached picture. The wire is a piece of old extension cord, everything but the switch came out of the junk box, so it cost me less than five bucks to rig up. The light comes with two brackets and two generous pieces of chain to hang it up, you'll need to supply the hooks. I plugged it in to a ceiling outlet, pulled the chain, and was amazed. So if you want a really bright light and can do a little extra work to install it, this makes a terrific shop light. It is literally daylight-bright.

Easy to install with one hook and minimal electrical knowledge, all needed parts (except the hook) are included. Very, very bright! Worth the money!

A lot of light for little power

Can’t speak for longevity yet because they have only been up for two months but these things are great. Replaced 2 8’ fluorescent lights with one of these. They are probably 2x as bright.
