Normally when you say Mill head it means a flattened hat milled is a flat surface was not expecting a waffle head other than that but hammer is a average hammer for 28 Oz

Ive used this brand for ever 28 oz framing, estwing redesigned the claw section and by doing that it has changed the hammer to be worthless to me. I wish they woukd bring back the old design!!!

Good weight and balance

This is an instrument of mass destruction. You have to get one. The steel is exceptional quality. It rings like a bell when you hit a nail or strike wood. I've nver experienced that before. It's a lifetime tool, not for the faint hearted. 28. oz is a heavy hammer. It will drive big nails easily.

Great hammer, weight and feel.

As with all Estwing hammers, this model is extremely durable; the one-piece forged design ensures a lifetime of reliable use. The waffle head will positively fillet your thumb if it gets in the way, so keep your other hand away from the point of impact as you swing. The rubber grip will not detach and provides a positive grip. The hammer is well balanced and drives a 16d nail in a couple of blows if you have the "juice." Definitely recommended!

For someone that wants something that will outlast themselves. Lol

The hammer is not as sturdy as they once were. The waffled head feature stands out the most. I have had the hammer for about 1 month.
