Quick Links come in all sorts of sizes. Their main use is on link chains. Often, a need to extend a chain or replace a damaged link arises and a quick link is just the ticket. I have used mine in the past to attach a camera case to the front of my ATV. Coupled with a turnbuckle, it held everything firmly in place. I have used larger sizes to completely secure trailer safety chains to my hitch. These links in particular are for light-duty use so be sure to check the rating on the quick link you chose.

This quick link from Everbilt is zinc plated steel, handles up to 3300 lbs, 4 1/4 inches long, and 1/2 inch thick. The threaded portion opens and closes smoothly without hanging up. In order to give it a real test, I loaned it to my neighbor who used it to join 2 chains in order to pull up a fairly large stump with a yard tractor. It did the job perfectly without breaking or distorting the link.

It works like its supposed to. I didn't put more than 500lbs on it, but it held fine and did its job. If you are using it to throw up and pull branches down with a rope I recommend getting 2 or 3 so the weight will pull the rope down on its own.

Heavy duty. Clasp threads shut easily.

What can I say about a quick link? I mean, it hasn’t broken yet so I guess it’s working?so basically 5 star until it breaks and then 1 star. Not broken yet. So I guess 5 star?

For a Hammock, not any special application. Does what it states. Not a mayor item.

Great to put in the bed of the truck to help keep straps secured

Good quality, but didn’t work for me, as threaded portion to large to fit through a BIG chain link.
