Replaced broken latch on shed door. HD has a good selection of barrel bolts that enabled a choice of the right size for easy installation. This Everbilt stainless steel barrel bolt secures the shed door and will outlast the shed.

These 2-1/2 in. Stainless Steel Barrel Bolt was very cheap solutions to make our house child safe. I bought lots of these to put on the doors to prevents my kids opening the doors and harm themselves. They are build to last long very high quality material for the price paid.

Not suitable for outdoor use in temperate coastal climates. I've had a pair of these barrel bolts rust out in about a year. If they are really made from stainless steel it must be the lowest grade possible.

Perfect size and material for a simple screen porch door.
