In order to install you need to remove the rubber tip to expose the metal underneath so you can screw it in using a flat screw driver. It took a lot of effort to get the tip off since it was quite rigid. Once off, I could see there was some metal flashing in the groove for the screwdrver. I had to use a very thin file to remove the metal. Drilled the pilot hole in the baseboard and screwed in a ways, then used a screw driver to turn it another 1/8 turn so the base would be square with the floor. However, a portion of the slot broke off rending it useless. I decided it was good enough. Then it took a lot of effort to get the tip back on.
