The Everbilt Brand, 3/16 in. x 6 ft. Galvanized Steel Security Cable Wire Rope is an affordable uncoated corrosion resistant utility cable having convenient looped ends. I use various security cables when camping to secure stuff from walking off. This cable is a good choice to use by its self or with other cables as the looped ends make daisy chaining cables end to end for more length easy and secure. Since this cable is not coated, it is best used to secure items not subject to vibration like generators. It is light weight, wraps around its self and stores easily. It is not the supplest of cables, having a bit of spring to it. If and when it should ever rust, I’ll likely use it as a choker to pull out new oak trees that sprout up around my property all the time.

With several acres to maintain, it is necessary to have on hand several kinds of chains and wire cables. This is a medium to light duty wire rope. My rating is "Good" and not "Excellent" simply because I have not yet put it to work. The listed working load is 840 pounds. As such, I would use this for pulling loads of not more than half that much weight as initial force is greater than the actual load. It appears that the loops are well secured to hold up to the rating.

Prevent Theft, seven strands of seven wire rope galvanized security cable. Due to leaving my pull along trailer out in the front side of the house I no longer have to worry about someone coming along, hitching up my trailer and riding off with it. Each end of the galvanized cables has over a inch long loop which allows me to slide a lock to secure the galvanized cable and my trailer Everbilt cable securely holds up to 840 pounds. Cable is 6 ft long.

This is an inexpensive security solution for low-valued property. This wire rope cable terminates in a loop at both ends which are neatly secured in place by metal clamps (see picture) which are easily coupled with the shackle of a small padlock. The cable looks to be durable, but since it is fabricated using non-galvanized metal, its durability might be diminished when exposed to the elements. I’m using it to secure my propane tank to my BBQ grille (see picture), but I’m sure it’s just as useful to secure bikes, recreational equipment, etc. I find the 6-foot length to be a good size to corral most nearby items without becoming a tripping hazard. Caution should be observed to avoid having the cable make direct contact with delicate surfaces to avoid scratches.

Work excellent for me. It's ready to use. I use it in a storage closet to hang tools and others things. It's easy to remove and storage. It can hold or pull a lot of weigth.
