Very chic!!
I put this on my liquor cabinet, which is an heirloom, and it blended in so you couldn't see it. This catch holds up to 4.4 lbs. to hold medium and larger doors closed. Both parts of the catch can easily be screwed-on The white surface of this catch fits perfectly into the interior of cabinets, bookshelves or storage cubicle. The magnet into the cabinet - the counter plate to the inside of the furniture door.

Nice 'closing'
I put this on my liquor cabinet and it blended in so you couldn't see it. It is an heirloom cabinet!! This catch holds up to 4.4 lbs. to hold medium and larger doors closed.. Both parts of the catch can easily be screwed-on: The magnet into the cabinet - the counter plate to the inside of the furniture door. If you want something to close but you want it hidden -- This is what you would want!!! When you want something to close and one catch is not going to do it. It's small and it would look good!

Works well as expected.
I installed this light-duty catch on a cabinet in my workshop that had always fallen into place without a problem, but since I was adding a heavy duty catch to the companion door (which had a warping problem), I decided to add the light duty catch here. I was surprised to see that the light duty catch has a larger counter plate than the heavy duty catch. But it works as expected and that's what really matters.

Magnetic
We got these to use for our cabinets in our kitchen. We have a few of our cabinets that don’t want to stay closed anymore. They are older cabinets and sometime we will replace them but until then we wanted them to close. These were easy enough to install. We would definitely suggest these to others who need to keep cabinets closed. They definitely more than met our expectations.

Works great
This arrived in good condition with no damage. I bought this to replace an old cabinet closure. After the closure arrived I removed the old clasp. I needed to make a few adjustments, realignment, wood putty and a little touch up paint were required. Please note this closure requires to push in to activate opening or closing the door. This shouldn’t be a problem to get used to. It’s a good closure

Gets the job done!
I used this magnetic catch with strike plate on an antique sideboard door that kept coming open. The parts were all included and the installation process was straightforward. A 5/64 drill bit proved to be a good size for the holes. I did manage to strip a screw head when I tried to use the drill screwdriver. After replacing the screw, I used a manual screwdriver on all four screws, and I recommend using a manual screwdriver. The magnet is good and the door stays closed now. Problem solved.

Worked great to secure a pesty cabinet door
My wife bought some years ago a cabinet with shelves and two doors. The doors are very old considering the hinge and catch hardware. We brought it and mounted it to a laundry room wall and it is very convenient for storing all sorts of stuff. Over the years. just due to wear, one catch stopped working in securing the door closed. Close an outside door too hard and the cabinet door would pop open. We did not want to mess with the character of the cabinet with new catches so we opted to use an Everbilt Magnetic catch to keep the door closed. Pretty easy solution!!

Strong magnet
Everbilt 4.4 lbs. Magnetic Catch, Brown (1-Pack) packs a small punch with its good strong mighty little magnet. Overall this looks like a sturdy one like most other everbilt products and am kind of sure that this would last long enough. The usual problems with these is loss of magnetic strength. The screws, the placement were all good, no issues there.

Great Magnetic Closure
Everbilt 4.4 lbs. Magnetic Catch is a great cabinet door catch for a light weight door. I am using an old free standing kitchen cabinet in my office for storage. Both doors had magnetic closures. The one on the left door actually broke. The Everbilt 4.4 lbs. Magnetic Catch is the perfect solution. The magnet catch was very easy to install and works great. Cabinet door, once again, stays closed, which hides all my odd ball office things.

Good Magnetic Catch
The Everbilt Magnetic Catch has about a 4.4 lb holding power. This should be good for a smaller cabinet door. I installed it on a smaller cabinet door on my RV. It holds the door well and has not come loose when traveling on the byway. The metal plate does not have tabs on the corners to make the door for mounting.which makes it a bit more difficult to mount properly. It still think it is a good magnetic catch.

Lacking magnatism
This is one of those Everbilt products that only comes in a baggy with six parts and no instructions. And while it be easy enough to figure out, a newbie might be challenged as to the best way to mount it. The bag includes the magnetic catch, striker plate and 4 screws. The catch only has two magnetic which seemed strong enough before mounting. After attaching it to an old cabinet door that had a worn spring catch, I noticed a positive difference, but not a huge difference. It certainly took more of a pull to open the door, but not much more. This I found disappointing as I expect a lot more holding power and the packaging does not mention it only rated at 4.4 lbs. On the positive side with only six parts there isn’t much to assembly. The greatest challenge is getting the alignment correct between the catch and strike and in my case also managing the depth of the catch so it would meet up with the strike. Overall it better than the worn out spring catch that it replaced but not much better. I would recommend this product for a cabinet door that you want to open with a very slight pull. For more secure hold, I would get a stronger magnetic catch.

Picture is Misleading
The photo shown on The Home Depot website for this item is misleading. See my pictures for the differences. This weak 4.4 lb catch is only useful on small doors that don't have any resistance to closing. Not recommended for a large cabinet door. I believe that you should definitely opt for a stronger magnet if you have a need to hold the door firmly in place.

Holds Well
The Everbilt White heavy duty XXL magnetic catch with strike plate is perfect for holding doors closed securely. The magnet is strong enough to hold most doors closed from popping open. White color blends in well with white cabinets. Included with the latch is four (4) wood screws to attach catch and strike plate to cabinet door. I did not find any warranty information for this item.

Good Latch
This Everbilt 4.4 lbs magnetic catch is a good latch that is economical as well. Thhis is a good latch for single or double door installation. The latch is designed for some slight movement to provide for the ideal contact with the plate. The 4.4 pound pull should be adequate for most cabinets and should also be ok for larger doors. The screws for installation are furnished.

Keeps my cabinet door closed!
One of my “most frequently used” china cabinet doors likes to pop open on its own, so I decided to add a second magnet catch to the top of it so that it would stay closed securely. This worked perfectly! Easy to install - I marked the base and then drilled it in with two screws. Next I matched up the front clasp to the door and hand screwed it in. Overall very easy to install, and the door now closes and stays closed snugly. Doesn’t take any hard work to open, so still very easy to access our dishes, etc, but now the cabinet door stays closed without popping open randomly. Very easy upgrade to fix an old piece of furniture!

This catch was perfect for an average size kitchen cabinet door that was slightly stubborn to want to stay closed. The package comes with all the necessary parts including screws that are perfect cabinet installation length. It was easy to install. I did roughly mark and predrill the spots. The plate is generous size and the catch is easily adjustable. It does a great job of keeping the door closed. Highly recommended!

Exactly what I needed for my overhead cabinet. The mechanical latch had failed after years of use, so I decided to try the magnetic latch. Works like a charm and easy to install. The frame of the latch is plastic, but I guess it has to be since it’s a magnetic latch. I was going to put it on a cabinet in the camper but I now think the camper would need one with a stronger magnet. With the jostling that happens driving down the road, I don’t know that this would be enough. Comes with four screws. Two are pan headed for the magnet housing and two have a cone to sit flush on the metal receiver. I did predrill the holes with the smallest bit I own and just ran it in with a screwdriver. No issues

This is a 4.4 Lb. Magnetic Door catch. It is ideal for a doors that need to stay closed and I use them for my work shop cabinet doors and they're great. They install very easy and they operate easily as well. The hardware to install does come with them. These door catches are good for medium to larger doors as they can hold the 4.4 Lbs.as in the description. The white surface of this catch fits perfectly into the interior of cabinets, and the magnet into the cabinet - the counter plate to the inside of the door. The hardware includes the catches, the plates and the 1/2'' screws for both. I already installed mine as soon as they arrived in the newly built shop cabinets I made and they work just fine.I would recommend these to others.

EVERBILT 4.4 LBS. MAGNETIC CATCH, WHITE WORKS WELL FOR AWHILE TO HOLD THE SHUTTERS CLOSED. I FIND THIS PRODUCT WORKS WELL INSIDE CABINETS AND INSIDE DOORS, BUT IF YOU USE THEM FOR INSIDE SHUTTERS ( BETWEEN THE SHUTTER AND WINDOW),WHERE IS MAY BE EXPOSED TO SUNLIGHT AND SOME HEAT THEY WILL DETORINATE AND FALL APART. FOR THIS APPLICATION THEY NEED TO BE MADE OF A FIBER PLASTIC COMPOUND.

Great to keep a cabinet door closes which had hinges a little sprung and wouldn't stay fully closed. Easy to install - don't need directions but they are supplied anyway. It says 4.4 lbs on the web site but it does not give this information on the packaging. It is made in China, but what isn't these days? I wish more manufacturing would be done in the U.S.A.

EVERBILT 4.4 LBS. MAGNETIC CATCH, WHITE One of the best magnetic catches that I have ever used all you need to do is determine the placement you want to use, then install the catch, install the plate and you are set to have a door stay shut. The dual magnetic posts are strong and fixed so you don't have to worry about problems later. Very attractive white plastic body that measures 1 and 1/2 in. by 1/2 in. deep

While 4.4 pounds may not seem like much, it's enough to keep a door from being nudged open by a pet. Or small child. It won't prevent it, but if it doesn't give with a nudge, they leave it alone. Got a door with a decorative handle but not catch? How about that medicine cabinet? Bit too strong of a magnet? Replace it. All sorts of covers and lids or doors that these can be used on. Or attach just the magnet to the side of something as a way to keep that key ring? Many Uses, worth having.

EVERBILT White Economy (4.4#) Magnetic Catch with Strike (1002 782 609) is compact and well made. Installation instructions included. The tough plastic housing holds up to tightening of the screws when securing. Slotted holes in the catch base allow for minor adjustment in and out if hole locations are centrally located. Be sure to leave adequate space for driving the mounting screws, whether by hand or drill. Holes should be predrilled. Precisely positioning the catch and plate take some extra time/effort if access is limited. Leaving the plate attached to the magnet housing can make for easier positioning and locating holes to be drilled. The lighter duty magnet (4.4#) on this catch is good for lighter, well aligned doors that will not have anything pressing against them that could spring them open. For my situation, I was replacing an old magnetic latch that had broken. To simplify the installation I “cheated” and left the old striker in place. You can see in the photos that this is not just the second latch that has been installed on these 100 year old cabinets – that I have modified and painted. Used one existing hole, and then an awl to make the second “predrilled” hole. Unlimited warranty to original consumer/buyer. Made in China.

I received the Everbilt 4.4 lbs. magnetic catch, in white (1-pack). It came with the screws to install it. I needed this to use on my desk, it came with a plastic holder, that did not last. So I installed this on it and it works great. The magnet is strong and holds it well. I do not believe this will break and will hold up a long time, even with my kids slamming it. The white color was perfect also. This is made in China.

I painted all my kitchen cabinets and replaced all the hinges and hardware to stainless. I have a couple of doors that do not shut perfectly flush and this drives me crazy. I have tried adjusting the hinges, but still a couple giving me issues. I decided to add some magnetic catches to those that are being problems. I used this one on a medium size door and it is working fine. The only thing I would say, I wish I got a little stronger magnet setup, but it is working, so I am fine with it. I might try some stronger ones elsewhere, just to see if I might want to swap this out or not. Installation is very simple. I pre-drilled the holes for easy mounting.

Bought these for our cabinet doors that wouldn't stay close. It took a couple of them to hold the cabinet door. The screws were a little too small and hard to work with. But I was finally able to get them mounted successfully. They need to be slightly past the edge of the door to get it to hold.
