Material is not very strong. Haf to modify where the lock bend opening and was able to cut through it easily with a sheat metal blade.

Flimsy and a hassle to install.

When you close the clasp it cant close all the way due to the fact it hinges part hits the wall its screwed to first and it's hard to close a few times till the wood be hind it. If it was metal it wouldn't work properly. It cant be installed wrong because I have to hid the screws. So in my opinion it's a great idea for doors that you have to have a bend on them. And it does lock so I mean it works as designed just small flaw in the design.

good product for what i needed it for

I needed a hasp for a truck box and the double hinge was the only one that would fit the uneven front. It was easy to put on and works perfectly.
