The steel handle and steel cover handle too hot . I put on a plastic in otder to handle safely. No common sense but inexpensive to make.

The egg cups and frame are great. They have the capacity to hold medium to jumbo size eggs. The eggs slip out with ease. The main pan has started pitting on bottom from the very first time I used it. This is why I give the rating of good. If this didn't happen the rating would be excellent.

Turns out good poached eggs. The drawback is that you must use a oven mitt or paper towel to remove the cups and lid when eggs are done. The handles are very small which makes them hard to hold. Take a few times to know how long to leave cups in for level of doneness of eggs to your liking. Easy to scrape out eggs and if a little egg residue is left in cup it can be wiped clean with a paper towel. But once you figure out the timing it makes great poached eggs.

Rescently purchased 4 egg Excelsteel Egg Poacher. What was delivered is defective. Non Stick coating does not work. Top does not fit and when push it in the internal cups into which the eggs are placed moves and cover up the holes from which the steam enters. Not only that, the handle appears to be safe to touch with what appears to be a heat resistant coating. It is not. The handle heats up and when I picked it up it burnt my hand. I would send it back but I threw away the packaging. BAD, BAD, BAD!!!

I am extremely satisfied with this product. I did not have to put it together. The cups are truly non-stick so I don’t need oil or butter. It cooks my eggs within a few minutes. Very easy to clean.

Works great. You must experiment a little for the times it takes for eggs to be done to your liking and you must use a small potholder or mitten to remove the lid and cups which is a little awkward. Other than that your eggs will come out perfectly poached in just a few minutes

Works well on the induction stone top. Very easy to clean.
