Ordered this hoodie for when I need to do work around the house and for outdoors activities (think hiking). What I really wanted was a comfortable, breathable hoodie, that looked good, was durable, and fit well - this hoodie has been all of those things. It's very light weight and breathable material, while also keeping you warm and insulated. I've used it for hiking in both chillier and warmer weather, including with light rain, and it has kept me well insulated. I've also worm it around the house for a few DIY projects, and it's very comfortable, fits well (not too loose), and is easy to clean. Overall, very happy with it, and has become my go-to recently.

Despite its rugged looks, this hoodie shirt is soft and very flexible to the touch. It is lightweight to be well aerated but also provides full coverage from the sun and protection from a breeze. When pulled off, the hood hangs imperceptibly from the collar. A nice feature is the "vented" mesh arm pits to allow greater air flow and cooling. It does wick away sweat to a point but like all materials will eventually become saturated and heavier. That doesn't detract at all from its overall performance though.

The Firm Grip Long Sleeved Hoodie Shirt is a great shirt for all seasons. The fabric allows for heat to easily leave the body and allows this to work as a great substitute for sunscreen when working in the hot sun. I wore this shirt hiking through thick brush and experienced no rips, tears, or breaking. As someone who also needs longer sleeves, I was pleased to find that this shirt fit me perfectly and the hood did not pull upwards on the collar.

The shirt has a great look and feel. The shirt is vented in the under arms and has a very comfortable smooth feel to the skin. The size is perfect. Most shirts that I wear run so small, so it was nice to have a L that actually fits like a L. The shirt will be perfect for cooler sunny days or out fishing. The sun protection is a nice benefit! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a long sleeve performance shirt. Great product!

These shirts feel soft on the skin. They are an SPF 50 to make slime excellent for use in the sun. The camo pattern is ok, a solid color would be nice. I actually got these for use on the lake in my kayak, however my wife has started using then to work in the yard, wear to the pool, and use as a sun shirt. They come in both crew neck and a hooded version. They are great for work or recreational use.

This is a nice shirt. Obviously pretty full coverage with the hoodie, but it's definitely not super-warm. Just enough to cut the wind on a windy day. It's quite thin so will fit under a sweater, coat or what have you. It is made out of a synthetic fiber that breathes nicely and wicks sweat away. There is some additional venting in the underarm region. Overall, good work clothes.

In addition it will make an excellent base layer when the temp drops in the fall and winter. It's minimally branded which is a good thing for me. The fit is good. It's a little snug but intentionally so it's not unflattering or looks like it's too small. Very functional work shirt

The Firm Grip hoodie is lightweight but it's too warm for hot summer days. It should be just right in the Fall once temperatures moderate. I’m 6’2” with long arms, so I ordered an extra-large. The sleeves fit me perfectly with a little room to spare. The hood is comfortable, not too tight, or loose. The mesh underarms are nice because I sweat a lot. The Veil Aqueous – Camo design is fresh and attractive. It’s perfect for outdoor work on brisk Fall mornings. This is a high quality product and I’m happy to own it.

I got this long sleeved “t-hoody” for those summer mornings that require more than a T-shirt. As the day progresses I take it off and stuff it into the bag. While it’s warm like a light sweatshirt, it’s not as bulky as a cotton sweatshirt and warmer than a typical long sleeved cotton T. I suspect I’ll use it as an under layer in the fall and winter too. I also like the hood since I don’t have a lot of hair. It’s UPF 50+ so prevents me from getting a sun burn. The fabric is performance wear, so it wicks away sweat and dries quickly. There's a mesh fabric under the arms that feels like the material of a running shirt so it breaths... And I’ve worked really hard in this shirt. The fabric doesn’t seem to hold odor after washing although it’s hard to tell if that may eventually change. I thought it might shrink after the first wash, but it didn’t since the material is 90% polyester and 10% spandex. It’s hard for me to say whether the size Large is true to size since sometimes I’m an oversized medium and other times a large. The size large is slightly big on me in the torso, but I need the sleeve length since I’m long and lanky. Given the spandex material it fits me well enough. The only thing I’m not crazy about is the mundane “Firm Grip” logo on the chest. Firm Grip really needs a cooler logo for this line.

I love this material - it's super comfy and softer than a lot of the performance fabrics some of the big names are putting out there. It's definitely one of the most comfortable shirts I have. With that said, it runs smaller than I was expecting. The hood and sleeves are pretty fitted - I have relatively small wrists and there's not much extra room there. It's just smaller all around than other XLs I've encountered, but if you're looking to wear it as a base layer, that may be ideal. If not, I'd say to order a size. But it's really comfortable & holds up well, so a great find.

I just love these! It is Light weight, and just enough for when there’s a chill in the air. They are extremely comfortable and have a vented arm pit. I like this blue color. It kind of looks like the old pool liner I had in my inground pool at the old house. I like to bring this along when I go fishing. If the wind kicks up or the sun is burning my skin I pop this on and it’s perfect.

This tough working gear is lightweight and has a mesh underarm that is a breathable,stretch material that keeps you cool and is very flexible to move in easily. It has UPF 50 plus Sun Protection. Which reduces sun exposure. It has a anti-odor treatment. Anti microbial treatment prevents odor and bacterial build up.Material is made up of 90 percent polyester and 10 percent spandex. I have the Extra Large in the Cameo Grey. I like the way it fits and has a hood.

The Firm Grip performance lightweight hooded shirt is pretty nice. It is very lightweight and you can even wear it on a hot day. It has long sleeves and a hood to protect you from the Sun. They designed mesh underarms that will breath and help keep you cooler. One of the things that I noticed is that the material has been treated with a anti-microbial treatment that prevents odors and bacteria build-up.

This X-large gray hoodie shirt is great for cooler weather especially if you need to keep your head warm. The hoodie is thin which I like because it is comfortable to wear. If it's really cold I can put on an additional sweater or jacket or even a vest. The sleeves are long but not overly long. The fit is clean and isn't baggy. I like the gray color as it is neutral.

I always pick on my son for wearing blue camo..you hunting for smurfs? But seriously..nice material, wicks away the sweat in the summer. Not sure how it will be this winter. Has a hood on it. Light weight so the good doesn’t “get in the way” or layers if you so choose. He has been happy with it so far. It does hold odors in it so I wash it using a sanitizer additive.

Lightweight, stretchy material means great comfort. This hoodie is perfect for what is was design for. A quick pull-over to provide sun protection and even a bit of warmth at the job site. The large size fit my 5’9” 145lb body well. The sleeves were the right length and the elastic polyester fabric prevented any bagginess. It was so comfortable I would wear it as casual attire….just wish it didn’t have the brand logo on the front. Although the fabric is polyester it offers zero rain protection. It sucks up water like a sponge. I also wish there were some sort of small pockets to stash your phone or glasses. Price wise $20 seems fair (price at the time of this review). It’s better than a cotton blend hoodie for me because I often overheat in those. A solid “B” grade.

This is a fantastic long sleeved, hooded work shirt. It is the first work shirt I’ve used that feels light and breathable, with an armpit mesh area that is even more breathable than the rest of the fabric. a stretch material with a mixture of 90% polyester and 10% spandex, that feels light and conforms to your body comfortably. I like this shirt because Summers here in Tx are extremely hot, with temps above 110° and over 95% humidity. Wearing longsleeved workshirts to protect against UV can be sooo stifling and make you feel miserable. Wearing this shirt in the heat feels a whole lot more airy and comfortable. I have this one with a hood and also own several others without the hood, and I love it. This doesnt feel nearly as hot as other workshirts that I have worn in the past for working outside. Overall a great quality work shirt and does offer UV protection as well as breathability and aeration. Highly recommend it if you spend a lot of time working outdoors.

This is a very comfortable shirt that provides some sun protection (UPF +50) and also helps to keep you cool. I have been wearing long sleeve shirts for years to keep the sun off of my back and arms but now we have another choice. This thin fabric provides the sun protection that you need but also allows much more cooling to take place. Part of the cooling is due to the thin fabric and part of it comes from the fabric touching your skin and allowing for evaporative cooling. The hood also keeps your neck protected and cooler than a long sleeve shirt. Since its Summertime I am hoping that this will also help to keep me warm and dry as a base layer in the Wintertime. Time will tell. This shirt is made of a very soft and silky mix of 90% Polyester and 10% Spandex. So it feels nice on your skin and moves with you. It also has underarm gussets that are made of a very open weave to allow for more air movement in that area. Overall the sewing is very good, with only small imperfections in a few areas. Since the fabric is smooth and soft you will be feeling your fingers pulling on it but so far this has not created and pulls or snags of any kind. So it should be durable for the long haul.

Super nice and comfortable long sleeve shirt. The shirt is a long sleeve shirt but made of a nice light material made for wearing during warmer weather to protect you from the sun. The shirt provides 50 spf protection which is super nice. The shirt fit is great for me. I am 5’11” and 190lbs and the shirt sleeve length is spot on and the torso length is great. The shirt moves easily with the body and does not restrict any movement. The fabric is very light weight and breathable and Firm Grip added a nice touch with a perforated fabric in your armpit area for more breathing of that area. Shirt care is super easy and no concern of the shirt shrinking on you when washed and dried. The pattern on the shirt is also very nice. Overall a great shirt and very comfortable to wear. I would definitely recommend it.

Great summer hoodie if you're out in the sun a lot. I normally wear large and this fits me fine. This is a nice way to cover yourself up if you're going to be out in the sun as the shirt has UPF 50+ protection. The material is like most moisture wicking shirts. Light and very breathable. The sleeves cover my arms completely and the hood provides protection for my neck and head. Hood is just the right size and the top covers up to my eyebrows and over my ears. The material is very breathable and the armpits have increased ventilation. Shoulders have a raglan seam which makes the shirt comfortable. Construction and materials appear to be very good. Seems like a quality shirt.

This is my new favorite go to top to wear when I go out to work in the yard. I like wearing long sleeves when I am out in the sun to protect my skin. Even though it is super hot and humid out, this shirt is super comfortable to wear as it is lightweight and breathable. I normally wear an XL and this size fits perfectly. The camo print also looks cool!

I live in Florida and enjoy getting outside to do things. Saw the Performance Hooded Shirt from FIRM GRIP and thought it would ideal for working out in the sun and heat. I like that it is long sleeved with a hood with the fabric being a UPF 50 plus Sun protection factor. The fabric is very lite and breathable. Quite comfortable…the mesh underarms are a great feature that provided good ventilation in the Florida heat. Really love everything about this shirt but would have liked to have a pocket in it though.

So that theirs short of it, but let me tell it's everything said and more - comfortable, so lite weight, warm and I've just started and could go on. Around the house relaxing it could be used simply for that relaxing watching TV, right up to outside in the cooler to cold weather, doing odd and ends in the yard. again, warm but not hot were you feeling over heated - just warm. It's silky design let a shirt or coat slide right on, don't even have to hold the sleeve ends so they don't roll up the arm.

This long sleeve hoodie fits a bit on the small side. I like the material and the gusseted underarms. The print is a scattered camo like print. The sleeves are long enough to cover your wrists and stay up when pushed up. The material seems like it is a breathable material and doesn't make you sweat when it is a bit warm outside. The hood is adequate enough to cover your whole head. It is a pullover type hoodie. Very well made.

These are the comfortable shirts I have ever worn. The fabric is like a wicking fabric. Stays so cool. When it arrived I knew my middle grandson was going to want it. I was correct. He absolutely loved it. I'm thinking about ordering three more of these for all my grandchildren. They all liked it. Don't think I'm gonna part with mine. I have three firm grip shirts now and I truly am a hugh fan. Awesome shirts. Very well made.

Do you work outdoors in inclement weather? Are you a hunter? Do you just like comfortable clothing? This is a great shirt for all the above. It has vented pits, is a breathable material so you can stay dry but remain warm. It's camo design is ideal for small game hunters as an outer wear piece but can be an under garment during colder months for added warmth and head protection if orange is required on the outside. The hood is comfortable and adds a layer of warmth. Great for construction workers who work in the elements. Though stretchy, sizes seem to run a tad small. Order accordingly.

This FIRM GRIP PLUS MEN'S X-LARGE VEIL AQUEOUS PERFORMANCE LONG SLEEVED HOODIE SHIRT, VEIL AQUEOUS - CAMO is probably designed for the avid Hunter. However I needed a covering that is lightweight, but protects me from sun and bugs while working in the garden during the summertime. This absolutely fit the bill. The blue camouflage blends in, but more importantly, I didn’t burn, reduced the bugs on me and stayed pretty cool. I can see using in cooler weather as part of a layered look. And with 90% polyester and 20% spandex, it will wash easily and stay new looking for years. It may have been made for a man, but I like it too! (Wink)

It's a work shirt... but it is a really nice work shirt. The material is great and it is definitely breathable. The vents under the arms can help keep the person cool. The logo looks a little press on leaving me to believe that is might peel after a few washes but only time will tell. The hood over the head is big and will fit easily any head with or without hair. The length is good and the sleeve length is also really look to give ample coverage.

Pleasantly surprised and loving this shirt! Okay, it's a shirt.. but it's an awesome shirt. If you spend long days outside, work in dirty areas, work with insulation, or even get loved on by mosquitos, this is the shirt for you. The shirt material is thin and stretchy so it's comfortable to wear on warm days. The hood is great for when you're working in dirty areas or you're bald like me and need to keep sun or bugs off of you. Mesh in the armpits helps breathing and drying. At 5'10, 195 lbs. I wear a large shirt and it fits perfect - loose, but not too loose to wear it hangs off of you and gets in the way. The camo pattern is nice, but I'm not wearing this hunting so I can't test it's functionality. I will be taking this with me to the beach though so maybe I can hide from the kids!
