We have three of the Hunter Fanaways Model #59085 - and LOVE them. If there was something we would change about them would be; 1. add LED lighting in place of the CFL bulbs. And 2. reverse fan direction for winter months. The new EVO1 Model # 21103601 tackles one of our wishes by offering the same great product but with LED lighting. And not just one - but three choices of lighting warmth - 3000K, 4000K, and 5000K. Allowing you to go from a warm glow to a very bright white daylight white glow. Now for the not so great part of the new design - this is a bugger to install compared to the other model we have! The new lighting comes with extra wiring and it is not as well thought out as far as its organization. Bonus, both screws on the outside sheath that hides the wiring easily stripped out. It's been great since we installed it - but getting there included a few cuss words. We have these in our bedrooms, kids' play area, and now office. Perfect for smaller rooms where you need a ceiling fan but don't want something that will overtake the room the way most ceiling fan/light combinations usually do. The light/fan has a great look whether it is off or on. Be prepared to receive many ooos and ahhhs from visitors.

This is a very nice large (almost 19”) ceiling fan that has a trick up its sleeve, the fans blades retract into the fans main housing making it look like a modern pendent light. It also can shift its light color output from warm white thru bright sunshine (3000K to 5000K). The fan has a very modern and clean look, nothing like standard ceiling fans. Even when running, the blades are clear so they almost disappear. This fan is very easy to install (about 1 hour), almost everything can be assembled on the ground then hung on the ceiling bracket. No fan blades to hold up over your head and try to get a screw started into the motor, the blades are already installed. Once installed and running the fan is very quiet on low speed and doesn't have the hum of some other fans. It picks up just a bit of noise on Medium and High but its still quiet enough for a bedroom or library. The only thing missing is the ability to reverse the fans direction in the winter to move hot air away from the ceiling and back down the floor. For my needs this limits the places I could install this fan, I need this option for my living rooms 10' to 14' ceiling height. Overall, this is a quality built ceiling fan. The fit and finish on all parts is superb. Especially the brushed nickle finish on all the exposed metal parts. The large bottom globe is made out of 1/16” (approx. 2mm) thick frosted plastic. If your looking for a modern design ceiling fan without a reverse direction for the fans direction I highly recommend looking at this ceiling fan.

Ok so this fan is by far the most expensive fan that I have ever owned. That being said it was a little challenge to put together and I never could get it to sit flush against the ceiling of our house that we are renovating but with those things aside its is an amazing fan unlike any I have ever seen. It is a 48" fan with retractable blades that has to have the brightest LED light I have ever had in my house. Its 2,600 lumens are very bright and an added plus is that you can change the color of them to a few different softer or brighter colors. The fan has 3 speed settings that are completely noiseless and produce a lot of air. Along with the remote it is a very welcome addition to our kitchen we are remodeling. The installation was a little different due to a couple of modules that have to be fitted inside the top of the ceiling cover and its a tight fit. We are very happy with the fan and will definitely recommend

The best word I can think of is, WOW! What a cool fan/light! I was not sure what to expect because I only saw the pictures of the light online. This definitely exceeds what I was hoping for. The installation was easy and straight forward. Everything is layed out in the instructions and the wires are labeled as to what goes to what. In addition, a few connections are quick connect. There is plenty of room in the ceiling mount to pack away the LED unit, the remote control unit, and all the wires. The light has different settings and is able to go from very bright to a soft light. The light is good size and gives off a lot of light, if needed. The fan is awesome. It is completely retracted above the light unit, when it is not running. In the low setting, the blades only expand outwards partially. In the high setting, the blades fully expand and provide a lot of air movement. The blades are clear acrylic and are interesting that you do but do not see the blades while the fan is running. when the fan is shut off, the blades retract back above the light unit. In my photos, They show the blades in motion (can hardly see them) and also retracted. I also have a picture of the light unit with the cover off showing all the LEDs Overall, this is one of the coolest ceiling fan units I have every had or saw. Love it!

I replaced my dining room light with the Fanaway EVO1 that appears to be an unabstructive pendant LED light that is 18.6 inches in diameter. The unique part is that now using the remote control you can turn on the fan and centrifugal force deploys the acrylic blades. The fan runs in one direction pushing air down and has three speeds, is wispier quiet and when turned off the blades retract to appear to be a brushed chrome light with a white light cover. The installation is easy as much of it is you disassemble and reassemble and there are easy to follow instructions. The light can be dimmed and the color temperature changed using the remote control. All the necessary parts to install the fan are included. The included down rod could be replaced to lower the light if desired. The unit has a 2 year warranty.

Very unique fan. Love the three different light colors and the fan itself works very well. Looks like a big round light when not using the fan part as the blades retract into the large bulb. Great fan!

The fan works as expected. The lights are good, although you have to push the light button and hold it for a few seconds before the dimming changes. Once you get used to that it is fine. The reason for the three stars is that the fan is 16" tall. If you have 8' ceilings it is going to leave you with 6'8" of headspace. So tall people are going to be afraid of it. It does not appear that you can reduce the length of the down-rod because the shroud over the electronics (located at the ceiling) has to be able to drop down to the shroud above the fan in order to install the electronics. If you cut the down-rod you won't have the needed access. I'm sure the specs listed the height of the fan, but I didn't notice and now wish it mounted closer to the ceiling.

We LOVE our new Fanaway retractable ceiling light fan. It provides ample light and added ventilation when needed.

We have 3 of these fans and love them. The air they circulate is incredible for the quietness of the fan itself. This purchase was made as a housewarming gift. It is truly loved by the new homeowner.

Echo the other reviews! It looks very nice in our dining room; the fan works quite well (and very quietly) and the LED lighting is true genius. Just press the light button on the remote multiple times to change the display. We installed it with a 36" downrod. There is just enough wiring to use the 36" downrod, no need to buy extension wiring. If you need a longer downrod, you'll need the extension wiring. Everything was so easy to figure out. The instructions were spot on. I've installed many ceiling fans over the years and was pleasantly surprised by how easy this one was to install. Before buying, I had some questions, as we could not see the product except online. The manufacturer rep was very helpful and quick to answer my questions.

This fan is not only fully functional but it is also absolutely beautiful; a work of art. The installation is very simple. The instructions show a bunch of wires that need to be connected but there are pre-installed connectors that make it all very simple. The fan is wobble-free. I mean it doesn't even wobble a millimeter. It's also whisper quiet. The only sound I hear is a small "click" when I push a button on the remote control which helps confirm I've pressed something. The light has three temperatures (3000k, 4000k and 5000k) depending on your preference. The fan is very cool (no pun intended) to watch. As it starts spinning, the blades come out. When the fan is turned off, the blades slowly retract. It's very relaxing to watch. I'm VERy happy with this fan and would definitely buy another.
