I bought this to dig a trench around my beds before spreading mulch. In the past, I have tried using a shovel, a standard spade, and a scraper that’s like a hoe with the blade straight rather than bent, and none of those came close to this tool regarding ease of use or final result. I love that the top of the blade has a step on top to allow the user to apply plenty of force. I also like the shape of the blade. In fact, I can’t think of any way to improve on it other than to make it available in the store. There was no cost to have it shipped to the store, but it took several days, and I couldn’t compare it to other brands when deciding to purchase it. Still, I’m glad I did. No regrets!

Excellect spade for cutting edging, removing topsoil, and cutting through thick grass. I found it sharp enough to do the job without sharpening.
