No Room for Error
Like another reviewer said the rod has to within an 1/8" or it will pop out. Also like another reviewer said I had add washers to get the end caps to stay on. Not a very good design at all but there are not that many choices to choose from. I had to order 2 to have enough parts for one good one.

Neat installation without the annoying joint typical of shower curtain rods. Rod end could use a plastic insert to tighten up the connection.

Best shower rod I had so far, love the one piece feature. Measuring and cutting was easy using a Kobalt pipe cutter, after covering that area with masking tape to avoid markings on the rod from the pipe cutter rollers. Wished the pipe wall was slightly thicker but still deserves the five stars. Measuring was easy, no problems with cutting to proper size as written by other reviewers.

Good quality and easy to install in a space that was 58.5 inches. (A hack saw was required.)

Came without end pieces to install. This became a problem for me. I had to go and get the shorts from a local hardware store.

Good product but not without potential issues
Very happy with the final product. Box arrived pretty beat up using the “ship to home” method. No instructions included, but pretty simple installation. In my case, i needed to cut the rod down to the appropriate length, and several reviews mention using a tubing cutter, which would be a very good solution but my tubing cutter has seen better days. Anyway, the cutting down is not the issue, but there is VERY LITTLE leeway in hitting the proper dimension—probably less than 1/4”. It didnt have to be that way but that’s how they designed it. SO, measure carefully, cut long, and sneak up on your final dimension with great care.

      Not for DIY's!!!
Rod looks good, BUT, must be cut to the EXACT length needed, no room for error. I took 1/16 off the overall measurement to prevent scratching the tile. The rod dropped out of the mounts! I bought a second set(cut it three times, still too short) cut it to exact length it fell out when jostled. I made up some spacers to allow for a more forgiving install. No instructions included. Mr. Manufacture spend a dime per unit and include instructions and a set of spacers so it's easier to install

I like the rod and it does look nice but I down graded the rating for a couple of reasons. The rod is 60” but I needed 58.5” so I had to cut the rod which voided the warranty. If I had known that I would have not bought the rod. When cutting the rod the measurement has to be exact. I cut the rod a 1/4” short and glued in a piece of 7/8” dowel rod. The dowel rod is hidden by a flange so it is not seen.

This Franklin Brass replaced a tension rod that would not stay up because of the relief in my tile. Take care in cutting the rod but it looks beautiful.

          Good Product
Sturdy with concealed mounting, can cut to length. Have had same item in another bathroom for 9 years in shower used daily (or more) with no tarnishing.

Nice looking, quality made product and a reasonable price. Only time will tell whether the stainless steel finish proves as durable as it should be. But I'm overall very satisfied with this product. The stock in-store fixed shower rod (aluminum?) I bought form HD starting rusting after just a couple years. So definitely spring for the stainless (which I had to order, not stocked at my store). Only complaint as a few other reviews noted, is that the mounting flanges leave very little room for error in cutting. You have to be within about 1/8" (maybe less) of the exact length when cutting. Otherwise, the rod will pop out of the flanges. May sound easy, but it's harder than it seems. I'm pretty good about cutting precisely, and still came up a bit short. I remedied it by adding a couple washers under the flange (similar to another review), which still were concealed by the cover plates. The manufacturer easily could have added a protruding "neck" (if that is the right term?) on the mounting flanges. Even a 1/8" or 3/16" neck would solve the issue, and still allow the decorative cover plate to cover the flange. The mounting flanges are "stamped" in an attempt to provide some protrusion. But this only protrude maybe 1/32", and hardly makes a difference at all. So my advice is to err on the side of caution, and cut it a bit longer than you think, and trim again if needed. Which I thought I had done, but the shower walls were less squared than I thought. Another minor quibble, is that no hollow wall anchors were provided, just screws. Most hardware of this sort will include wall anchors. Although they are often cheap junk, anyway. So I suppose you can reason that buying anchors seperately for a couple bucks is preferable, And you can also reason that some installations would need different types of anchors (tile, etc.). So again, just a minor comment, and easily solved.

I cut the bar to fix exactly and it has not fallen down or rusted as of yet so it’s a win. I would have liked to seen a deeper mounting pocket. For the bar

On a positive note, I like the look of this shower rod and the hidden screw holes. (I got the brushed nickel finish). Now for the negative: This shower rod is very flimsy and I bends easily. I wound up keeping it because it was the last addition to my bathroom renovation and it had already been cut to fit the opening of my shower. My contractor cut a wood dowel to fit inside the rod to strengthen it and it seems to help. I do not recommend this item.

No instructions included but simple enough to figure out on my own. Biggest issue was getting cut to correct length without cutting too short which would make it unusable.
