I hated it. Starts with a loud hideous sound. Thought someone breaking in window. Would NOT recommend. Not 5 stars at all.

It’s very loud and in order to feel cool air it needs to be set at 73. If I have it at 75 it only blow air. I will be returning it and purchasing me an LG window unit

Frigidaire is KING
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always been using fridgidaire brand air conditioners and it has never disappoint. After moving, I decided to stick to this brand, however, was worried if the 10,000 BTU would be good enough to cool my now larger apartment. It was great and performed well! I keep my bedroom door open and it was cooling everywhere well; from living room to the kitchen. I cannot recommend frigidaire brand enough, this air conditioner is easy to use and very convenient with the remote.

Hello, Kevin. The power cord is equipped with a three-prong grounding plug for protection against shock hazards. Your air conditioner must be used in a properly grounded wall receptacle. If the wall receptacle you intend to use is not adequately grounded or protected by a time delay fuse or circuit breaker, have a qualified electrician install the proper receptacle. Additionally, Do not run air conditioner without outside protective cover in place. This could result in mechanical damage within the unit. Great unit, but not the remote
Efficient, quiet and serves its purpose well. My only negative comment is that the remote does not list the Lo-Medium-High control, you need to stand in front of the unit to see the exact settings. The older model I replaced did have the controls on the remote.

Overall I'm fairly happy with the unit to start. I replaced a portable unit from a different brand that couldn't keep a 100 sqft room cool. I'm not a huge fan of the styrofoam inside the vent. The unit is fairly loud but it gets the job done.

Wonderfully cool summers!

Frigidaire also has a very good warranty policy. I had issues with another unit in my home and the replaced it with a brand new unit in a timely manner. GREAT PRODUCT AND GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

Replaced a 15 year old exact older model
Had the older version of this A/C since 2008. Ran it every night year round.....bearing started going bad. Replaced it with this same exact specs newer model Frigidaire A/C. I hope this one lasts 15 years also.

The Quality I Expect -- So Far
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the unit at the end of the summer so haven't used it much. So far it performs at the high caliber that I've come to expect from Frigidaire window a/c units. The 5,000 BTU unit that this is replacing did an amazing job of cooling/drying the air given its smaller capacity and very large space (rooms open into one another/no doors) but this unit will be more efficient. It's a bit loud at the higher fan speeds, but I've never had an affordable window a/c unit that isn't.

I should have listened
I should have heeded the negative reviews. It is a zero star product. Worked well for 6 weeks. Now struggles to produce cool air at the lowest temp setting in a 160 sq/ft room. Condenser noisy and clunky when it turns on. Clicking noise indicative of bed bearings. More problems than a machine should have halfway through its second season. DO NOT BUY. Learn from my mistake. At least I have all winter to research its replacement. GRRRRR
