This unit began “freezing-up” the 1st week it was installed. Ice forms on the coils and the unit quits blowing. I’ve called Frigidaire 4 times and “because of Covid” they aren’t accepting technical support phone calls on room air conditioners. After getting to the correct service area they said call volume is too large to please contact them via email. I’ve emailed them 3 times but it has been 8 days and I have not heard back.

Auto features and fact that it is Eco makes it easy the pocket. On Cool Mode and Low Fan Speed, it only hums when working. Easy to mount. I love it!!!

Great little unit for a small home office. I've been using it every afternoon for about a month, and it cools my office down quickly. I mounted it in a 22" wide window, disregarding the instructions and the accordion gap filler that came with it, using rigid foam board to fill in the gap instead, which resulted in much less noise and air leakage from outside. I turn it off when I need to answer a phone call, but otherwise the sound is not obnoxious while I'm working--I sit 3 feet from the unit.

Doesn't get as cold as I would like and during the first rain, I assume water gathered inside causing the fan to slow until the water dissipated but it will eventually cool a small room.

Bough it for the babies' room. My previous Sharp 10000btu was to strong and was blowing too hard even on low setting. This one is small, light, fan doesn't blow so hard, and it dehumidifies and cools fast. I love it, and its much quieter than Sharp. And the sound is stable llike white noise, no sudden sounds that would wake you. I have it for 3 weeks and so far love it.

This product is so worth the price. I love it. Especially comes with remote and doesn’t look like a box in the window.

I bought this ac on May 23 of this year and not even 2 months its frozen. Ice has build up and doesn't blow air normally. Now I need to reach customer service and may have to take my ac to them. Like I have time for this. I am very disappointed in the products I have recently purchased.

I read reviews and researched so much before buying this for my 21x17 bedroom. It runs constantly to try to cool off the room and cant and after having it for only two days the entire thing froze and is covered in ice. Will be attempting to return but i cannot beleive i wasted my money on this. My 10 year old 5000 btu unit that i was replacing works much better

the product is good, however it came missing the screws to assemble the unit. It is very disapointing

Very satisfied! It's an a/c unit containing all features I needed such as a very quiet, remote control, sleep timer, and it's Economic and Energy Star. I would recommend for anyone that has the same needs. It's a pretty unit too!

I have a large bedroom with bath. This can usually cool my room in 30mins or so. Sleep mode works great to keep my room cool while I sleep and make it so I'm not freezing when I get up. It was easy to install and it's easy to use

I’ve had this unit for 3 days and so far there’s a lot to not like about this air conditioner. 1. It requires at least half an hour’s worth of assembly before first use. Compared to my last unit which was unbox and use, this was an annoying and unforeseen step. 2. The unit arrived damaged and poorly constructed. The damage was not due to shipping (bent cord prongs and bent metal slats on the interior of the unit that could not have been caused by shipping due to the way it was packaged). Further, the outermost shell of the unit was not even close to square. It arrived looking like a parallelogram, which made removing the inner part difficult and destroyed some of the weatherstripping. It had to have been sent out the door in that condition which is just sad and disappointing. 3. Finally, the temperature gauge is horrible. The unit is in my dining room which also has my thermostat. The unit will stop running on the eco-mode before getting to the appropriate temperature, leaving me with the option of forgoing the eco-mode (which is probably the setting I use the most) or having to set the temperature artificially low to get it close to comfortable. (Ex. The unit was set to 72 degrees on eco-mode. It runs a bit and then shuts off. The thermostat in the same room reads 75 degrees!) Don’t typically return things but I’m going to check on other options.

You'd think HD would know how to ship this product to your home. You'd be wrong. They handed it to Trac. Did they double box it? Of course not. Did they drop it once or twice. Of course. Damage report: The 1/64th inch steel frame is separated from the plastic front piece on one side. Will they take it back? Sure, but you have to drive it over to your local HD and wait in line with all the other masked and socially seperated returnees or ship it back (uh-huh). The unit is pretty nice.

I have aluminum replacement windows that replaced the old wooden sash type window. When the AC cabinet was fit into my window it fit tight and had no slope for water drainage. I added a 1/2" stool step and mounted the cabinet on it. I also purchased and installed the Universal Window AC Support recommended by Home Depot. The support brackets that came with the unit work fine with my sill but I believe the additional Universal support is a good thing to add for an AC unit of this size. To avoid drilling holes into the aluminum window sash, I used two wooden blocks to secure the window from opening. I tried to closely follow the installation instructions but had to deviate and come up with my own plan steps because of the type of window I have. Before I purchased this unit I wasn't sure I could get it installed into my window type but I was able to do it. The instructions should include some detail on installation into other types of windows and address how much slope is required for drainage. Once I got the installation complete, the AC unit is reasonably quiet. It works well and cools the whole house. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase of the Frigidaire 15,000 BTU window mounted AC unit.

The Frigidaire 6,000 BTU 115-Volt Window-Mounted Mini-Compact Air Conditioner with Full-Function Remote Control is exactly the right air conditioner for my shop. My shop is a detached 200 square foot shed without insulation. 6,000 BTU's is a big help on hot days. It was 97 degrees here in Northern Virginia when I completed installation. I found installation to be straight forward with easy to follow instructions. I varied the installation somewhat by installing the AC unit in an opening cut especially for the unit. The unit weighs 42 pounds and is light enough for one person to handle. It has a respectable 12.1 energy efficiency ratio (EER.) This AC unit has all of the features I need to use it effectively. I am especially impressed with the printed operating instructions. One picture is "DO THIS" and the one beside it is "YOU WILL SEE." The unit is reasonably quiet and priced for a good value.

The 6000 BTU 115-Volt Window-Mounted mini-compact Air Conditioner with full function remote control was delivered in good condition. The AC unit installation instruction is clear for installing the AC. I installed the AC by following the instruction. 6000 BTU is enough clod that was my expectation. It has fan only function, Dry mode and light off function. Light off and sleep mode is perfect for good sleep.

This unit is struggling to keep up in a bedroom. It's cool, but doesn't run very cold. Sitting at 85 degrees outside, partly cloudy. The inside temp, even after lowering the ac setting down to 69 is sitting at 77. It takes the edge off, but doesn't cool down to where I'd like (72). It's almost as if it needs more coolant, like when a car ac goes out. The remote has an option to turn all lights off the face, which I like. I would not recommend for medium to large size rooms. This unit is small and just can't handle it.

Came with condenser coil fins damaged, but Home Depot fixed the issue There were roaches in the box but that could be from ups, definitely first time that’s ever happened I was suppose to pick this item up in store and they changed it to ship to my home for free!! I will do business again with Home Depot They were very professional and very nice on the phone

This Frigidaire compact 6000 BTU air conditioner looks good, with a white finish, modern electronic display and clean lines. It has a compact design, operates from a standard 110-volt plug, and weight about 40 pounds. The 6000 BTU rating is suitable for cooling an area up to 250 sq. ft. I found it has plenty of power for most applications given its relatively compact size. The unit features a remote control that adds to the versatility and convenience of the unit. Assembly is straight forward for window mounting. You need to attach a top mounting plate and the side panels. Insulation for the side panels is included adding to the energy star rating. The unit operates with average sound levels, not too loud, but noticeable on high fan speed. The fan has three speeds, and can be set to operate continuously or cycle on and off with the compressor. You can control power, operating mode, fan mode, timer, sleep, and temp setting from the unit or the remote. Eco mode turns fan on and off with the compressor, you can select non eco mode, where the fan will run while the unit is on. Unit has a timer and a sleep mode, where the temperature is adjusted a few degrees warmer after an hour. The remote is compacts with a digital display and offers full control of temperature and fan speed. It offers remote sensing if you desire, where the condition at the remote is used to set the unit, rather than the ambient condition at the unit itself. The air conditioner has a one year warranty and a five-year warranty on the compressor system.

Great Air conditioner, cools well, works flawlessly and is very energy efficient (energy star). This is my second Frigidaire Air conditioner and I could not be happier with both of them. I use this 6000 BTU unit in a 12' x 14' room with 9' ceilings (approx. 170 sq. feet). This unit will cool the room off from a 90 deg. dead start to 72 deg. in less than a hour. My previous 5000 BTU unit would take several hrs. if it ever made it. The unit is easy to install, It can be as simple as 4 screws and slide the side panels in to the slot in order to put the unit into the window. Or you can put all additional brackets in if you want but I take mine out in the winter so less is better for me. The remote is great and easy to use and has multiple functions like a timer, sleep auto fan mode along with 3 settable fan speeds, auto, cool dry and eco mode. Filter is easy to remove and clean. Complaints, this unit is at a 55 Decibel noise level but in comparison to my other two non Frigidaire units it's only 3-5 db's louder. You will need to turn the TV volume up. The unit did arrive with a-little cosmetic damage on its side (see photo) but the packaging was really good so it had to happen prior to packaging. Drain hole, there is none. This must be a Frigidaire thing as both of mine do not have them and the other two non Frigidaire units do. There is specific verbiage in the owners manual that if the end user drills holes in the bottom to let the water out it does void the warranty. The "sloshing" noise kind-a worries me but I'm not the design engineer so I leave it alone. When you check to see if you have enough of a outward drop (see photo) you need to use less than a 6" level or go to the sides as the is a ridge along the back edge that will fool you into thinking you do not have enough of a drop. This is a good unit, well made, cools great, works great , just a-bit on the noisy side but its a keeper in my opinion. Recommended.
