Did not fit around ceiling fan base. Had to sand down to get to fit. Not very sturdy so sanding was tricky to not break item. Did not fit well together and did require careful attention to get them to line up and fit together. Easy to paint and they do look good. For price was just expecting them to be better made. Hope they hold up! With all said they do serve our need, but would buy solid piece next time and just take down fans to install.

Unfortunately, this medallion is sloppily made. The two halves do not neatly fit together. It's also heavier than expected. We returned it and ordered another medallion from a different Home Depot vendor. The return process, as usual, was efficient and respectful. For that reason, I gave this experience two stars instead of the one the actual product deserved.

The two pieces do not fit together without modification. I had to file down the edges so that they would lay flush. There is still an obvious seam between the pieces as well.

Needed trimming for the two pieces to fit together.

Pieces did not join together well, should be cut out of the same piece ,not the case two different pieces that did not join well

Purchased to cover a hole in the ceiling where the ceiling fan exist. I was excited but this medallion does not fit its own groves. When you piece it together, it does not work. Ill be returning and requesting a refund and attempt to buy another. Hopefully that one will work

Sadly the product did not meet my expectations. Rather, it was very disappointing. The product is of very poor quality and looks nothing like the picture. One of the two interlocking pieces is warped and that prevents the other piece from latching to it making the product unusable.

the medallion was made very poorly, both halves needed to be re-fit to even look as it should, i was not about to fix it my self, so i returned it.

I was disappointed with the workmanship and returned this item. I liked the concept of it being split, but when I put them together, there were gaps and the edges didn’t line up well, Also, the flat, center portion was thicker than I was expecting and I would have had to get longer screws.

I had to alter it a little bit but overall pretty good product with good shipping

It's pretty-Just wish it had fit around my light fixture- was too big. Wish you had other sizes. Split medallions are hard to find.

This medallion needs filled in the seams. It wasn't cut as well as the first one I ordered in the same pattern. So the quality isn't consistent. HD needs a "maybe" in the recommendation box

It was easy to install. Looks really nice too. Highly recommend it if you need to cover the opening around a ceiling fan.

I needed a two piece medallion to go around the cap of my ceiling fan without having to take the fan down. There was also a two inch gap in the ceiling at different points that I reinforced with thin planks. So the medallion had to also accommodate the planks and stay flush to the ceiling. I did have to cut the hole larger to fit around the cap, which took some time. I just used a serrated knife, nothing fancy. I smoothed it out with a blade. The foam was easier to cut than I thought it would be. I managed to attach it by myself. After getting it the right size I put caulk on the medallion and laid it flat against the ceiling and wedged two rolls of masking tape between the medallion and the fan blade for support while I hammered two finishing nails into opposite sides of the medallion half. I left the tape rolls overnight to give it plenty of time to dry and the next day I finished the other half leaving the tape rolls as support overnight again. Then added a third finishing nail to each half, caulked the gaps and nail holes, and painted. It worked fine over the planking and textured ceiling without leaving a noticeable gap. I'd give stars if not for the fact that it took several days and some cutting to get the job done.

This medallion is very attractive however the seams do not mesh together perfectly so you can see the seam joint at both connections.

Easy to install with a existing ceiling fan the instructions were easy to follow and it has a coat of white paint on it already so I did not need to paint it.

Great accent to my ceiling fan. I would highly recommend this product especially if you have already installed your ceiling fan then realize there is a gap between the ceiling and the fan you installed!

this product was shipped broke. Bought online. poor packing by shipping dept.

We needed two-piece ceiling medallions to cover drywall damage in the installation of two LED can-type lights in the master bath. One piece meds would have required the removal of the entire lights. The two-piece are held in place by the tension of the light fixtures so we don't have to affix them to the ceiling with glue or screws, which would greatly complicate changing of the bulbs when . needed. They look good and cover the hole in the ceiling. I was hoping that they would snap together but they don't so we have two pieces held up by the tension in the can lights. All in all an adequate solution for our problem.

Used three of these in a 100+ victorian. These helped hide cosmetic imperfections in room ceilings where old wiring had to be brought up to code. They attached easily, adding a period like charm to the rooms. Paint them befor you install.

Did not install, changed mind and decided on new decor
