The Polaris Sconce Solar Lamp is a beautiful, easily installed outdoor light requiring no wiring. It is made of rigid resin material with UV protection which will keep it good looking for a long time in any kind of weather. Although it will produce up to 100 lumens (pretty bright) it can also be set to a reduced output for longer lasting service. It has a solar powered warm white light bulb which, on low setting, will run throughout the entire night on a day's charge. This light is easily assembled and installed which the pictures will indicate - just a few screws through the back plate to put it into place then screw in the light bulb and tighten a few screws for the sconce case and its done.

Solar powered LED - no wiring needed, Adjustable brightness! Easy to install and bright. This is perfect for the shed where there's no electricity! I think it's great because you can literally mount this fixture anywhere and get light where its needed. It's standard features include solar powered dusk to dawn lighting using a Lithium Ion Battery (3.2v) shining at 100 lumens and 2700 color temp (between warm and bright white). There's also a switch under the removable top piece that adjusts the brightness from high to low and allows you to shut it off completely. The light will stay on for about 10 hours with enough sunshine during the day which pretty much keeps it lit all night. Installation is very easy because they include the mounting piece as a shell and all of the components just drop down into it (see pic of expanded view). It comes with mounting screws as well. The body of the fixture is hard textured resin which appears to be very durable. It's definitely not flimsy at all. The clear lens is also a plastic resin but it's very rigid. The bulb is LED and shines very brightly for a solar powered unit. The only thing they could do to make it better would be to add a remote control - or maybe come out with another version. I'll want another one so I can have a matching set on both sides of the shed or even on the front of the garage.

A recent rash of petty car thefts in the neighborhood caused me to want to add some lighting to the back of my driveway. This item fit the bill perfectly. I was able to easily mount it to my fence post in just two minutes, screwed in the bulb, flipped the switch to the low setting and the light came right on. I installed it @9:00pm and at 6:15 the next morning it was still on.

I like the lights just was t happy with the first one I got didn’t work as someone else returned it and then was sent to me. I returned to the store and ordered another one so now I have a pair

the light stays on for a very short time and then go out. not sure what i am going to use it for but it is not a reliable light. very disappointing purchase. buyer beware!!!

Cheap material and light doesmt stay on after an hoir. Also light is not very bright .

This is a quality product very easy to install. The adjustment for low and high is a great feature.

FANTASTIC SOLAR LAMPS! I bought two Gama Sonic Polaris Sconces. They were easy to install. They give off a good amount of light. They light up my staircase and also my door when I need light to find the keyhole. This is a great buy! I hope they last for a long time. When the bulb or battery need replacement, I will surely order from you again. Thank you!

Easy to assemble and install. I wasn't sure about white or black, but I do like the white look. The lights charge all day and go about 4 hours after sundown on the "High" setting. That's OK, haven't ried the "low" setting, but overall it was a good upgrade for a location without wiring.

Looks good, but is too dim, more of a decoration

This solar light is so bright, which is exactly what we wanted. Nighttime visitors can see and be seen easily.

This light looks perfect on the front of my home. Had it on hi beam decided to change to low beam for longer light life.

Half wall piece is a nice large size. The light on low is quite bright! This was a huge help and fix for not wanting to add extra wires.

I ordered 2 lights ordering process was easy and assembly was easy when i received them. One light did not go on at all same charging time as other light and i couldn’t open battery compartment to replace battery screw was extremely tight so it could of been simply replacing battery but screw was too small and tight so i returned both and bought another 2 since i really liked the look of lights and so far so good they both work it’s been one night

I like the ease of installation, however it has yet to make it through the night and still be shining in the morning, I'm generally out by 6am. This is on the Low setting. So if you are wanting something that will stay on all night, might need to keep looking or go with a wired option.

Super easy to mount and put together with clear directions. I was pleased to see the battery compartment is easily accessible and you don’t have to take the light down to get to it. I mounted ours in the early afternoon and that night we had lights! It also has a convenient high/low option.

Easy to install and the lighting is winderful

This is a great way to provide an outdoor light without having to run wiring. Installation was very simple - just mounting to the wall. It provides a good amount of light when it is lit. Sometimes it will light all night , other times it seems to die out before sunlight returns (depending apparently on sunlight during the day and the length of the night). It was perfect for what I wanted - some light at night on the back deck without having to run wiring. It is not the most heavy duty construction - but at this price and for the function it provides, it is a good value.

Gama sonic polaris outdoor integrated LED bulb wall mount solar sconce .this solar arrived very well packaged and protected,the instructions recommend placing the lamp in the sun ,which i did. once it was dark ,the light came on and lit the area very brightly just as hoped.we are extremely pleased with this lamp it s not because its bright only ,but it looks quite charming in the front door .i like it so much

This is a better solar light than I usually get. This has 3 solar panels. It installs in a clever way where a frame is hung and the rest of the assembly drops into it from above. It is made of what I would call plastic but the manufacturer calls "resin". It is sturdy resin and you have to touch it to determine it is not metal. It looks very nice. It requires a special bulb and a special battery available only from the company that makes it. The instructions say the battery will last 2 or 3 years. Research shows the battery available at prices from about $10 to about $27 at different vendors. This being January it is a good time to test a solar light, with the short cloudy days and this one has burned throughout the night so far. While this light is more than twice the price of the usual solar light I believe it is also a higher quality. And because it is better quality, as a gift it would show someone you value them and want to get them something nice rather than just fulfilling an obligation.

I need a light to mount on my recently installed portable building that is solar powered and does not protrude into the walk-way where it could get bumped while moving items in or out of the structure. The Gama Sonic Polaris Outdoor White Integrated LED Bulb Wall Mount Solar Sconce Model # GS-179-WHT provides 100 lumens from a flat sided fixture that mounts directly to the wall of the structure. I mounted the lamp on the front of the building so that it could receive maximum exposure to the sun by drilling two small pilot holes in the siding after marking them using the mounting holes in the frame of the lamp as a guide. I inserted the screw anchors provided and mounted the frame to the wall with two screws provided. The lamp is easy to put together after the frame is secure by following the brief instructions that come with the lamp. No electrical wiring is required and I chose the high setting for the lamp brightness. The switch for changing the brightness or turning the lamp on or off is located under a removable decorative cap. The lamp has had two days of bright sun and has stayed on from dusk till dawn each night. It comes on automatically just as the sun sets and goes off at daybreak. The walkway to the portable storage building remains well illuminated with the 100 lumens produced by the LED light bulb. I am extremely pleased with the clean appearance and excellent performance of the Gama Sonic Polaris Solar Wall Sconce.

I've owned multiple Gama Sonic solar lanterns - both older and newer generation lights. I have two stone pillars at the end of my drive with two 2nd generation Gama Sonic LED lanterns pier mounted on each. They have provided reliable service for several years now. And no electrician was required to run electric lines nearly 100 ft from my house. The look great and are effective. I've found all of them to be high quality lighting with long life solar systems. I do change the solar rechargeable battery however every 2-3 years for optimum performance. They even charge on cloudy days! I like the ability to install lighting without the need for running electrical wire. So when I saw the flat post/wall mount version that matches my other Gama Sonic LED solar lanterns, I was quick to snap it up. Simple to install - mount the lower portion of the light to your flat surface, attach the upper portion and wait till dusk - the wall mount lantern comes on as planned. I mounted this light on one of the upright posts of my front porch. The light is a pleasant warm white bright and long lasting. It illuminates the steps and walk in front of my porch. A perfect solution to a difficult area to light. I highly recommend Gama Sonic for your outdoor solar lighting. I'm a loyal customer.
