Issues after one year.
I only had this washer for one year and the unit powers in for itself with the play/pause light flashing. Also the cycle select does not work properly. When I turn the knob, the indicator light moves all over the place and not to the cycle I select. The unit worked good at first but should not be having issues so early on.

Great Features
We bought the GE GFW850 washer and dryer 1 1/2 weeks ago and love them both. The drum size is big enough to hold a king size quilt with plenty of room left for any other items. The only drawback is how noisy the washer is. Both the washer and dryer have a lot of wonderful features that we like.

Great Features
Best Decision I made, when reviewing other companies I found that GE offered the most and it is the only washer that I can utilize an ultravent mode in order to prevent mold !

Love them!!

First impressions
Washer works well and is easy to use Clothes wash clean an expected. WiFi connectivity keeps you aware of the progress of the cycle and even reminds you when clothes are forgotten in washer. Washer is a bit loud but this is tolerable.

Terrible Delivery of Appliance
Washer was wet on the back right out of the box. Delivery was refused.
Also, delivery guys were absolutely abysmal.
They were from a third party, not Home Depot, and very unprofessional.
HD, stop using third parties. Especially those with no ID or any paperwork for the products we purchase.
That was the worst experience we've ever had.
Inspect your appliances before they are brought in the house and don't allow delivery people to rush you through the process.

Excellent washer - recommendations were true
This washer does a really Don’t have any problems with it going out of balance, no matter what kind of clothes or towels or sheets I put in. The smart dispense function makes it really easy. It’s relatively quiet and the app is wonderful to let you know when things are done.

Great features, love the size of the drums
So far no issues with washer or dryer. Cleans the clothes very well and quit happy with the different style seal on front load washer and ventilation it provides to keep clean.

Great features- very efficient

Big Mistake
Worked good for one month, then began leaving clothes pretty wet. Yesterday it completely died in the middle of a wash cycle, only three months old. Clothes were still soaking wet and the machine is sitting non functional with water still in it. GE you can make this right by giving us a refund on the amount we paid and picking up your scrap metal. Thank you

Big Mistake
Worked like it should for one month, clothes have been coming out still wet, and today after only three months it died in the middle of a load of towels. DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK!!!

Much greater then my old 20 year old machine
Only had it for 26 hours but it is everything advertised and more.
Beautiful machine nice with 16” lower drawer.
I want to buy the gas matching dryer now but my old one works great still.

Beautiful GE Washer!
This washer is LOVELY. I love the auto dispensing of the laundry soap and how you can set how much of it to use, per batch/cycle you’re running through. (Ex. Less soap for sensitive skin, especially for my kids’ laundry.)

Great features and very stable
I love my GE washer. This is the most stable front loader machine I have had in the past 20 years. It does not wobble or walk no matter how full the machine is. Additionally, I did not have to compromise on capacity or features to get what I feel is a commercial grade machine.

Machine lasted 2.5 years
The washer machine lasted fro 2.5 years. The Damper vent and the Inverter board needs replacing. Estimate from GE is $603 for a machine that cost $900 to buy. What a shame,

I will give this washer negative stars if I could it along with the dryer is absolute trash I’ve had nothing but issues with them from leaking water to not working and not washing completely disappointed. I’ve owned it for a little over a year and I miss my 12-year old Electrolux set. The only reason that we replaced the Electrolux was because we were afraid they were going to stop working…. Huge mistake

Very impressive!
I love this washer! The size is perfect! I can wash my king comforter and there's room for more! The one thing that impressed me to most was I washed a dog bed that I couldn't ever seem to get the "dog" smell out of. After washing it before, it would just smell like wet dog, but one wash in this washer and it came out smelling brand new and fluffy like I had just bought it! All my laundry comes out smelling clean and seem to have new life. The app is handy, letting me know when my loads are almost finished. I also like that it syncs with my dryer to select the appropriate setting to dry what I just washed.
