The doors had a major scratch across them at the top of the handles where the installer marked it with a knife or sharp implement. The delivery driver more than likely saw this as he was very tall and he pulled the covering off from the shipping and he could have pointed it out to me and didn’t do so.

    Horrible ice machine
    We’ve had the fridge for about 3 years. The ice machine hasn’t worked properly from the start. It will make crushed ice when the cube option is selected. The ice maker has been replaced 2 times with no change in performance (warranty). Seems like a small issue, but its a big deal when you expect cubes and all this crushed ice goes everywhere.

        WiFi and space
        Love the WiFi capability you can download to your smartphone as well as the space in the fridge. Fridge is quiet unlike some reviews I read. Only wish the ice machine didn’t make a mess when dispensing the ice. I have to put the cup at the top of the dispenser.

          Freezer side is SO LOUD!
          Something on the freezer side is making a horrific loud buzzing noise! We’ve replaced the ice maker twice and the fan has been adjusted a few times. Just got a new ice maker last Monday and it’s so loud today I can’t even sit on the kitchen!

                GE 25.3 side by side Profile. after 3 weeks The freezer works good. The refrigerator does not work very well. I have had service out here to look and says its great. I have old and new Taylor Thermometers and a Accurite bluetooth set just because my drinks are warm. I have the fridge set at 34 and it barley holds 38. The compressor comes on about 42. It will go down to 37 maybe 38 and just shut off. back at 42. its set at 34 the door show its 35 inside but shuts off and goes to 41 42. runs smooth sounds good. set up is not bad dues to adjustable shelves. looks good handles get cold. Baskets are tight when rolled out. ice working good. but this is not a cold refrigerator. seems it does what it wants. the lower outside of case was damaged from shipping. The vent on the back was dented. I would not recommend this machine due to high idle temps.

                Broke 72 Hours After Delivery
                Broke 72 hours after delivery; unfortunately after the 48-hour window where Home Depot will help in any way. Delivered on 3/5. Installed on 3/6. Broke on 3/8. The device could no longer maintain the needed temperatures and the freezer/ice maker thawed out onto the floor. We have a service request with GE. HD has been no help and the store manager (Newnan #148) declined to help or return/replace. It is 3/26 and we are still waiting on parts for the second GE repair tech to come out to fix it.

                  So happy to finally have it!!
                  We have been very happy with our new refrigerator. It is very well lit inside and makes it easy to see all throughout the refrigerator.

                    Great refrigerator - only reason not rated a five is that when using the external water dispenser there seems to be always one drop that drips onto the plate below. Only one drop and it takes a few hours to make the one drop (beads up on the spigot). Retailer has offered to send a tech out if after a few months it still occurs.

                      Disappointed with the quality for the money
                      After seven (7) deliveries, I finally decided on this refrigerator instead the Frigidaire Gallery which is $1000 for some likely reasons which I will explain. I tried to get a Frigidaire Gallery Side By Side that wasn't damaged in some way and not because of the delivery guys which were hit and miss disappointment but because of quality manufacturing practices (scratches on the doors, trim pieces that fell off, front electronic panel pried off the refrigerator before I got it and a few others). So, I went with the GE brand because it had better reviews. Let me start by saying it did show up almost perfectly unblemished but the quality and use of space is a disappointment for the cost of this appliance. Here are my issues 1. The drawers are smaller in width and depth. Not so with the Frigidaire. 2. There are no filters in the appliance whereas the Frigidaire has one for the cold side and one for the produce drawer. 2. The width of the appliance a bit less 3. This fridge is so light that I can move around quite easily (that's something be 66 years old). Lightweight and cheap. 4. The bottom drawer is near impossible to get in or out of the refrigerator. Not so with the Frigidaire. 5. The white plastic on the drawers and shelves is an over abundance. Not so with the Frigidaire. The refrigerator smells awful with the strong plastic smell. I hope it goes away. 6. Overall poor use of space in the GE over the Frigidaire. Lastly what I like about the GE is wire grate drawers in the freezer as the plastic in the Frigidaire as others mentioned shatters if you are not care. However, I am keeping the GE because it is defect free and that's a bummer.

Due to the size of the doors and the strength of the door gaskets, it is possible that the refrigerator could roll or move when one of the doors is opened. Since the wheels or rollers do not lock in place, it may help to place a piece of wood, a small wood wedge or plastic furniture coaster (with felt on the bottom) under the wheels or rollers to prevent rolling. We recommend re-leveling the refrigerator after doing this, if necessary. GE_Appliances

                            How do you rate a refrigerator that you've only had for two days? We purchased this 42" GE to replace the same model that we've had for 10 years. The previous GE had numerous problems. We are hoping they have all their previous problems fixed.

                                  Awful since day one. Purchased in beginning of 2020 to replace a GE Monogram fridge that stopped cooling. This was the only brand that would fit in the space so we purchased it having no other options. 6 months in and started having trouble. They ended up delivering a new fridge since they were not able to get parts. One month later the fans on the replacement fridge started acting up. We called for service, they came out did a few adjustments, same thing happened multiple times. The noise the fridge made at times was so bad no one could stay in the kitchen area. Its groaning, leaking and loud and on the 4th of July this year the whole thing stopped cooling all together. For the high price tag of this fridge the expectations is to last longer then 3 years.
