I really like my cooktop, but GE could not have chosen any worse knobs. PLASTIC, covered with the thinist foil. Some of the foil was messed up out of the box and the rest looked like the photo by day 2. Not sure why GE would want such bad reviews, they are many, or why they would choose to not correct this awful quality once customers had melting plastic. Seriously hoping they offer a better quality know I can purchase after market.

Good that Power Burners are closer to the front - makes it easier to move the heavier pots and pans. Knobs are slightly higher than the grids -watch clearance over center when moving heavier pots and pans lift don't slide them off. No worries if damaged within the year, GE is good about replacing the parts under warranty. Read a previous HD review here and made use of the information when I brushed over the knob with a pot. Call 1-8003861215 Option # 5 Knob part: wb03x29354 Cook Top: pgp7036sl1ss Caution: power burners towards the front are wider and you might be use to placing your smaller pots and pans there. If you have the burner on high and a smaller pot on that front power burner the newer or less heat resistant models might not be able to stand the heat.

All my kitchen appliances are GE Profile, and I really like the quality, design and dependability.

It was an easy job to change out our old GE cooktop. It has more a more useful layout with two nice medium burners ( where the optional griddle fits) a nice option. Two large burners and a nice simmer small burner allowing for a great mix of cookware. It lights instantly and the lights on knobs to show when it’s on is a nice touch.

I purchased this for my wife for Christmas. Installers had no problem installing. Very simple. Took pictures of install and it took 2 1/2 hours to remove old and add new. Needed one more part that didn’t come with unit and that was a new gas valve and universal gas line. Did not reuse the old one. Wow! I’m really impressed with the ease and stronger gas burners than my old one of 33 years! Great!

Be Aware：the knobs are made of plastic with stainless steel color paint. after only 3 weeks of very light usage, the color on 4 knobs is wearing off. When we called GE, their representative said that cosmetics was not covered under warranty. we paid $1000 for this unit plus $100 installation. Totally not acceptable!!!! No more GE. Returning!!!

Just received my cooktop. I really like the sleek design and placement of the knobs in the front. It is easy to be able to see which knob goes to which burner. I am looking forward to using the griddle feature utilizing the left 2 burners. The steel grates are continuous across the whole cooktop and heavy duty enough to put my big canner and cook pots on during canning season. I feel I got a good value for the price paid and looking forward to many years of using this cooktop.

We just had this cooktop installed after removing the 17-year-old Monogram, and the difference is staggering. Both cooktops are black, but Monogram was easy to clean and this Profile cooktop always looks dirty. Even fingerprints remain visible. Also, the grates are way too high on the Profile and this significantly reduces the heat reaching the pans. It seems to take twice as long to cook something on Profile using the similar BTU-wise burners. Basically you see much stronger flames but it's taking longer time. So we expect this will double the amount of gas used.

I've used my cooktop less than 20 times and have a couple of issues. Fist issue, the paint has chipped of the 2 knobs. Second issue, i have several discolored spots on the stainless steal portion it is very noticeable. Very frightened on how bad it is going to look the more I use it.

Beautiful finish and easy installation. From the box, there are only a few pieces that need to be assembled using basic tools. You will spend more time unpacking and taking the tape off the cooktop than installing it. The installation is straight forward. The range lights quickly and I think the lighted knobs are an amazing touch. The only aspect of the installation I am not thrilled with is the method of securing the top to the counter. There are only 2 small steel straps that get screwed to the inside of the cabinet. There is still some movement on the cooktop. I plan to find a better solution. Overall a beautiful addition to your kitchen

We upgraded from a black cooktop to the stainless - so happy with it! So easy to clean compared to the black one!

looks good and works well. dont like the little rubber nubs that hold the grate up. they keep popping out when you take the grates off to clean.

I like the product but, when food drop down you cannot take it because there is no space for the hands or the fork to get it. The only way is wait after cooking and remove the net older.

High quality very well laid out cook top. Grates are heavy duty and lay flat keeping pots from wobbling on the cook top.Nice even blue gas flames and heat controls make cooking a pleasure. Outstanding Product!

I really love the look of this stove top. My only complaint is that the grills are a bit rough - the pans leave marks, almost like rust marks, but they wipe off easily. Fits and works prefectly.

GE Profile 36" cooktop. I like the LED knobs and at first I thought it was a nice unit . The one major problem is the unsafe grills! There is a space with no grill in front and behind each burner. If a small pot is set on the grill and it's not perfectly centered on the burner, it can tip and spill. It's a really bad design. It's like the pot wants to fall into the grill. It's really unsafe! If it was grease in the pan, a fire could start! What were they thinking?

Looks beautiful, seamless install to replace my old cook top,and clean-up is very easy. Product design was well thought out.

Easy to use lighted knobs to show there on is a great feature

Replaced our old cooktop. Good looking, easy to use, easy to clean. A plus that the dial lights up when burner is on. Very hapoy with jew range.

The cooktop looks nice and is very sturdy. All the burners lite quickly. Placement of the rubber bumpers on the base to protect the stainless steel rather than the grates as on prior GE Profile models should hopefully prevent the need for frequent replacement. The base of the knobs light when in use which is convenient to know which burners are lit, particularly when multiple burners are in use and also as a reminder that a burner is on especially if on low. I will say there was a slight change to the the natural gas line and regulator as some slight modifications were required for installation in order for the drawer underneath to close. However, fortunately alternate instructions were provided with the installation manual.
