Easy to used convienient and very low priced. If your toilet lid moves in anyway, this device will stop it for good unless and earthquake moves you! Tool are simple and right for the job no matter your experieince . Buy it you will not be sorry!

Easy to install and they work perfectly. So glad I had read about these in This Old House magazine. I am an 80 year old woman and installed these myself without any problems on our two toilet seats and one at my daughter's house. The tall grey tool is a great aid in getting the wing nuts off the plastic bolt and putting it back on without having to see under the toilet. Highly recommend!

Having a tool specifically designed for installation saves you from having to use pliers.

Home Depot is the sole distributor of Glacier Bay products. Their toilet has oversized toilet seat holes, supposedly to prevent cracking. The seat bolts are too small in diameter and the front of the seat shifts one to two inches when seated. Glacier Bay should include adequate bushings so their seat (included with toilet) is held without shifting position. Ordered the tightening kit and waited for shipment. Installed the extra bushings in this kit and the seat still moves, although not as much. Two stars out of five.

It's early yet to give a complete report, but since this review request is here: It's not completely tight, but is much better and so far hasn't slipped from the level to which I was able to tighten it. It's only been installed about 10 days however. The situation is definitely better than it was!

I used this on both toilets in my home. They both still loosen and wiggle.
