Made shaping my spruce tree easier. The tool worked perfectly. I plan to use it to trim 300 ft of Canadian hemlocks that I try to keep at 10 ft. It should be easy from the ground with the pole extension. It’s light weight and has a small profile. This was the first time I used it and it shows promise.

The pruner is very nice It is lightweight and recovers quickly after each cut. It speeds up the pruning. I have used it for several days pruning apples, apricots, plums and peaches it works very well on branches a half inch in diameter at 90 pounds pressure. More than a half inch I have had to prune manually. I really like it but wish it would cut up to an inch as advertised.

fails to cut near to 1 inch apple or pear,
out of the box the hand held cutter snaps. the one on the pole has seemed wimpy from the first cut. Could be a problem with the individual unit? Over all I like them. but would like to get the problem with the pole pruner resolved. So far I have been pruning apple and pear, and it is hard wood. Since the first day 4 days ago the pole pruner has decreased its ability from near to 1 inch to more like 1/2 inch. If the problems were to be resolved I would endorse this product.

The product is good for what it does. I really like it. However, I am on my third one. It keeps breaking near the clipper. It breaks near the rivet. If it were metal, instead of plastic, it probably would not break. I wish it could cut thicker branches and extended longer.

I have pruned several old apple trees with this pruner. The 10' reach and it's light weight makes the job easy to get those top sprouts. It does a great job for the low price.

This is a good tool to have. It does help with pruning by allowing you to work more from the ground. Much less ladder work. However the shears are very slow to recover the cycle before you can snip the next branch. I wait alot. The shears can only do small branches. When it breaks I won't replaceit

I got this delivered yesterday. I have not yet tried it on my apple trees but I tested it in the garage with a 1 inch square piece if pine and it cut through that like butter. Actually kind of scary. I would definitely recommend this. The price was WAY better than on elsewhere online.

Amazing tool. I use it for crepe myrtles, and it cut my trimming time by 80%, with so much less effort. Will struggle on branches around an inch, but less than that you can cut as fast as you can pull the trigger. Runs fine on a one gallon compressor- I have the ryobi one gallon battery one.

Perfect for trimming our bamboo hedge to keep it from getting out of control. Had it delivered to Home Depot and ready to use out-of-the-box. Excellent pneumatic tool.

Exactly what I wanted for pruning 40 year old apple trees: good reach and cuts up to thumb sized limbs. It runs quickly on a 6 gallon pancake compressor at 90 psi.

I thought it was advertised as being able to cut 1" branches - 3/4" is about the limit. It works great for cutting bamboos too. If it were a little more powerful and cut bigger branches it would have been better.

This is absolutely fantastic, the quality is there but it's the cost-benefit that makes me given a five star rating. There's little point in me reiterating all of the features named in the Home Depot listing, rest assured it does everything as advertised. Here's what you need to know, a small doughnut compressor will run this pruner just fine and it takes about one second to cycle the cutting blade. It could be a little bit longer but it doesn't matter, if you ever had to climb on a step stool or climb up a tree to trim off small branches waiting 1.5 seconds is a very little thing. All the parts on this replaceable and comes with a manual giving you the part numbers. If you need to replace blade, you call the company and also to separately. It's literally held on by a bolt, so couldn't be easier to replace. I have 13 apple trees that are kept printed about 9 feet for easy apple picking. Up until this year I have spent almost $1200 having Davey tree come out and prune by hand. I can prune each tree in about 10 minutes. The cost-benefit for me is obvious, if you're looking for a telescopic pneumatic pruner give this a try you be glad that you did. If not, return it to Home Depot, they will give you your money back.
