Beautiful - Nice character - Easy to install
It is as beautiful in reality as it is on website.
I did run into one small issue which was easily solved and actually turned out to be a pleasant surprise. You will need an LED corn bulb with an E26/27 (standard medium base) to fit into the narrow opening in the globe. A standard bulb will not fit into the globe with an opening of just 2-1/2 inches. The depth of the globe is 5-1/2 inches. Just keep this in mind when looking for a bulbs. Convert the mm measurements on most LED corn bulbs to inches, which is very easily done by doing a simple search on an electronic device.
Once you bypass the bulb issue, you will be intensely happy with the appearance of the light, and don't look at the bulb as a negative but a positive. That was my first impression and I was absolutely wrong. Purchase the light and the sky is the limit for ordering an LED corn bulb. There are many pleasant options to suit your needs.
I've had the same light fixture on my deck for the last 20 years. It is not directly exposed to the weather, although moisture, corrosion & time have taken their toll. This Globe Electric, Liam Outdoor Wall Sconce is a beautiful replacement fixture. I turned off the circuit breaker before disconnecting the old fixture. On all outside light fixtures, I always put Vaseline on all threaded studs, so removing the old fixture was easy. Once the wires were exposed, I unscrewed the wire nuts & removed the old fixture wires from the house's black, white & ground wires. I also removed the old mounting bracket, screws & stem. I installed the included mounting bracket, stem & screws. I removed the metal shade from the new fixture's body, to make the main fixture body a little lighter & easier to handle. I then attached the new fixture's black, white & ground wires to the house wires, with wire nuts. I slid the fixture onto the stem, aligned it vertically & secured it with the included decorative nut. I installed a 60 watt medium base candelabra bulb into the socket. I screwed on the glass shade & then attached the metal shade, with the 4 decorative nuts provided. The whole removal & replacement of the fixtures took 15 minutes. This new fixture is made very well, with overlapping seams to shed water. It has a beautiful brushed bronze finish & is a handsome new addition to my outside lighting.
I replace a set of flood lights with this fixture because we didn't need that much light in that location and it's much nicer than the ugly floods. For the price, it's ok. I wish it came with a light sensor so it would turn on at dusk and off at dawn. The base that mounts to the wall is too thin and wobbly. It is a nice looking fixture though and very well worth the money.
